ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technology, called sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but marketing experiences. He played around with email marketing for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Secrets his fans rave about and that direct people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Russell Brunson Clickfunnels Webinar
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. However, they had great potential as a product and soon realized their production would be helpful to others.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes individuals who don’t know you personally and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures designed to direct a web site visitor.
There is a boring method of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or website traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn many of your visitors into customers. In a brick and mortar store, that is like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the store without buying anything. In a store, you can talk your customers into buying something. In a store, you could be a bit more distant from the customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer till visitors end up at a page.
If you feel that sounds cool, you are right–it has become a massive deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did not only get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save you time and energy–to do exactly what demands a whole lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money for your user. They make it easy to make your accounts, put your content up, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty simple to pick everything up–it will likely take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how simple it is to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a fairly important feature, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. Once you become accustomed to it, it is an builder.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and pick the amounts of your visitors you want to see version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to control.
You will also find a handy WordPress plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
In general, it’s good to have things so concentrated: I can build my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All of this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.
You may be sure the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp account is really decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the full package might not be too much to ask. Russell Brunson Clickfunnels Webinar
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a great job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have when they tried to manage funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few places that require work.
A drawback is the price. There are just two pricing options, at either $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a huge drawback, another investment in your business, and like I’ve mentioned, you get a good package for this.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with basic questions, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Creator
This is not an objective criticism of the product but I take a slight issue with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a advertising. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. When you register for the applications, you can try to look at the purpose features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This means you will find yourself purchasing online classes, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and many posts consists of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they made. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more concentrated on making quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and experts, and other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.
So much of the product is tied into his own brand and his philosophy, although Most of us know the creator is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it looks like an extension of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s hard to not get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when a few aspects of their merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use similar layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some mistakes. Though this doesn’t happen frequently, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a lot of cash.
It’s also difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t constantly check or wait till you hear from angry customers. Barring uptime, I deal with some glitches when I clone pages using the HTML publishing option.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I like consistency in my applications, particularly if it’s a business solution.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with : it is too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that can be more economical upfront and give more control over managing specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use package of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test out the support , in order you do not need to commit to a costly program right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some would say so, and I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 a month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. I consider it a good investment.
The main differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality which lets you characterize a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Package, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I believe they’re strong and you get everything you need. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Russell Brunson Clickfunnels Webinar
A/B split testing is a feature, but definitely a one.
If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you choose what percentages of your traffic that you need to see per page, letting you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s very simple to use and a function.
In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the basic features were pretty great.
There are quite a few kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented into different kinds of businesses, and you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I’ll only have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The chief objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more efficient.
But are products, or these attributes? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but perhaps I am just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per type
You may view the complete list of features, along with complete Suite attributes, here. If you are in a position where you can afford to try Etison for a bit and you also absolutely require an efficient, simple way of increasing sales, I do not think you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can not do without themfor most users, simply StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wanted to devote attention to it. In reality, I think a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this landing page builder.
Anyway, there is rather a range of templates with great layouts, however as you can expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You might even save certain templates and also create own page templates, and it’s rather simple to see them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings and open from the editor.
When your pages start from the editor, you’ll essentially be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complex than some other mild page builders, but it is still easy to use.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Think of these components as fitting within every other (this informative article includes a helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns especially go into rows. This way you may have around four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive to its customers and go inside columns.
It may sound complex, but it’s rather simple to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it’s a section, however if I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A small criticism I have heard (but do not have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I do not think this is a huge problem and the builder provides you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different kinds of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of instance, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you may enhance your integrations readily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or simply click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one. Russell Brunson Clickfunnels Webinar
The process for handling integrations can also be simple, though you may need to look at your third party program’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll discover the process straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple way of incorporating and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part separate from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be a lot of store unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each these integrations is fairly simple –as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations run smoothly and you don’t need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of use–as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced save money and time. That being the situation, evaluating ease of use is really important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I would say the learning curve would be just a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the critique of Russell Brunson if you behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it seems to me like most questions must be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or charge processors will require a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s stuff you can figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely won’t be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It unites alternative and customizability with ease, and while I would suggest all potential users enter with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience here) will find the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and even those that offer B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does nicely with those offering more ventures that are independent or creative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for example, if you are a gentleman, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there could be support too. The same goes for people selling content like classes or publications.
Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller company, okay with the price tag, and you have to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place that is composed of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is just for SaaS companies, but adequate. Their page includes a collection of classes, each with their own articles. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it might be easy. Russell Brunson Clickfunnels Webinar
As the direct customer assistance, they’ve a feature inside the dashboard once you log in for, but I’m not overly delighted with it. They have generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t provide that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in cases when attributes haven’t worked when there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, customer support representatives were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. After he contacted customer support, he found that they were unhelpful. It might be a scenario that is bizarre, improbable, however it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I would not state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think the team mostly understand that their solutions are not absolutely simple to use and/or demand tools new for their users, and they have put resources in their support to make it decent. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Perhaps users, myself included, wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
So, what’s the conclusion? It’s fine! It is a legitimate contender in the marketing program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: Should you need a more solution to your marketing needs with customization skills, you might want to look. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone additional positives like the learning curveintegrations, and superior templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and reach higher conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite helpful for entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I’m pretty sure that for the majority of prospective users, the page builder provides enough choice. If you’re looking for an sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. It has not reached its popularity on empty promises, and that is why I’m giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
