What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technologies, called sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his invention, and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played with email marketing for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets and the author of DotCom Secrets that his fans rave that direct and about people through his marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Does Clickfunnels Integrate With Shopify
ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his team produce funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would usually take months. They soon realized their production would be helpful to other people and had great potential as a commodity.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes people who don’t know you personally and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to direct a website visitor into the checkout page.
There’s a way of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. At a physical store, you can speak your clients into buying something. In a digital shop, you may be a bit more distant from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer until people end up in a payment page.
You are correct if you think this sounds cool –it’s become a massive deal for online advertising. Russell Brunson did get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energy–to do what otherwise requires a lot of competence and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning money for your consumer. They make it put your content up, quite simple to make your accounts, and start taking payments. Plus, it is pretty simple to select everything up–it will probably take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to replicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a feature that is pretty important, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It is an easy to use drag and drop builder once you become used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is replicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the amounts of your visitors that you wish to see version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to manage.
You will also find a useful WordPress plugin which lets you insert ClickFunnels pages. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
Overall, it’s great to get things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All of this really will save time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp account is really decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full package may not be too much to ask. Does Clickfunnels Integrate With Shopify
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they’d have if they attempted to manage funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s quite a few places that require work.
A little drawback is the price. There are two alternatives, at $97 per month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your organization a huge drawback, and like I have mentioned, you get a good package for it.
Lackluster Client Support
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic questions, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they will not be quite helpful.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but I take a slight problem with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a fantastic advertising for sure. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you register for the software, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of the software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This usually means you’ll find yourself buying online classes, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and articles is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they are more concentrated on earning quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and specialists, along with other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.
Much of the product is tied into his own brand and his philosophy, although we all know the founder is a marketing wizard. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it seems like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when some elements of the merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more on the community. While you’ve got the capability to customize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use similar layouts. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems floating about. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some errors. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there is little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or forcing traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are working or not, unless you always check or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I clone pages using the HTML publishing alternative, barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency within my software, particularly if it is a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with : it’s too simple, and too pricey for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which may be cheaper upfront and give more control over managing specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try out the service, in order you do not need to commit to an expensive plan right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say , and I can see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a fairly good job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the main service, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.
But, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality which allows you characterize a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to view the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I believe that they’re solid and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them different sections. Does Clickfunnels Integrate With Shopify
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but definitely a one.
If you duplicate a webpage and make changes to the copy, the split test essentially enables you to select what percentages of your traffic that you want to see per page, allowing you test conversion rates very conveniently. It is easy to use and a fantastic function.
In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for other settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the basic features were pretty great.
There are a number of types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of businesses, and also you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complex. The chief objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate program easier and more efficient.
However, are such attributes, or products? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder to me, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Complete Suite a little perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You can view the full list of features, together with complete Suite attributes, here. If you are in a situation where you can afford to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple way of increasing earnings, I don’t think you would find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive advantage that you can’t do without them: for many users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote attention. In reality, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s rather an array of templates with good designs, however as you can expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around is not too hard.
You might also save certain templates and also create own page templates, and it’s pretty simple to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings and open in the editor.
Once your pages open from the editor, you will basically be working using a drag and drop builder. It is a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting inside every other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns especially go into rows. This way you may have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the dynamic bits that also make your page interactive and go columns.
It may sound complicated, but it’s rather easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box since it is a part, but when I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A small criticism I’ve heard (but do not have ) on the builder is how grid-like it’s –you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I don’t believe this is a massive issue and the builder provides you enough control without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I like the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For instance, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you may enhance your integrations. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they will come up. It, simply click the one. Does Clickfunnels Integrate With Shopify
The process for handling integrations is also simple, though you might have to check your third party software’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of incorporating and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section separate from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of store unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all of these integrations is fairly easy–as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate and you do not have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of use–because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is really important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I would say that the learning curve could be just a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson if you’re actually behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it seems to me like most questions must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core features of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or payment processors will want a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling around or visiting the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all prospective users input with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some businesses more than others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and those offering B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with those offering more ventures that are independent or creative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those businesses: for example, if you’re a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there would be great support too. The same goes for individuals selling content such as classes or publications.
Obviously, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I do not think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price , and you need to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place which consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is sufficient, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their page has a collection of classes. It might be easy, but content-wise it’s not too shabby. Does Clickfunnels Integrate With Shopify
As for the direct customer assistance, they have a feature within the dashboard after you log in, but I am not too pleased with it. They’ve been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that kind of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t provide that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in instances when features have not worked when there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, client support reps were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, some of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. When he contacted customer service, he found they were unhelpful and apathetic. It may be a unlikely scenario, however it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel that the team understand that their services are not easy to use and/or demand tools new for their customers, and they have put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least basic queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Most users would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a minimum that makes it. Within this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the conclusion that is overarching? It’s good! It is a legitimate competitor in the marketing software space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: you might want to check into third party choices you can connect If you need a more solution to your marketing needs with customization skills. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone positives like solid integrations the learning curve, and templates that are superior.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be helpful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are less. I am pretty sure that for the majority of users, option is offered by the webpage builder. If you are looking to get an sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
