What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market things online using otherwise complicated marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played around with email advertising for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets, two novels and the author of DotCom Secrets that his fans rave that direct and about people through his marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website Clickfunnels Zapier

ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. They had great potential as a product and soon realized their production would be useful to other people.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes people who do not understand you and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to direct a website visitor into the checkout page.

There’s a dull way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn . In a physical store, that is like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. You can talk your customers into purchasing something. In a digital store, you could be a little more distant from the visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your clients’ . The funnel functions incremental, bring traffic in closer and closer till visitors end up in a page.

You are correct if you think this sounds cool –it has turned into a huge deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did become rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to help save time and energyto do exactly what otherwise demands a whole lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Cash

Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money. They make it put your content up, simple to make your account, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty simple to select up everything –it’ll probably take you a couple hours to figure out most of what you require, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it is to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a attribute, and they’ve pulled it off well. It is an builder, As soon as you become used to it.

A/B testing

Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and choose the amounts of your visitors that you wish to view variant A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations well. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin that allows you insert ClickFunnels pages. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

In general, it is great to have things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.

All of this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Value

You can rest assured the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Zapier

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they’d have when they tried to handle funnels another manner.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s quite a few areas that need work.

A drawback is the cost. There are only two options, at either $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your organization, a drawback, and like I have mentioned, you receive a package for this.

Lackluster Client Support

Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic queries, but if you inquire harder things, especially about more advanced features, they won’t be quite helpful.

Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Founder

This is not an objective criticism of the product but that I take a slight problem with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype. They have a fantastic marketing for certain. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you register for the applications, you can try to look at the purpose features of the software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.

This usually means you will find yourself buying online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and most posts is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they made. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy online marketer stuff.

We know the creator is a marketing but so much of this item is tied to his own brand and his doctrine. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it seems to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s difficult to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some aspects of their merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you have the ability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many people use layouts. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great amount of ClickFunnel-y seems floating about. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some errors or will go down. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or forcing traffic to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a couple of hours, then you may potentially lose a good deal of money.

In addition, it is hard to know when your pages are working or not, unless you always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I clone webpages using the HTML publishing option, barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.

I like consistency within my software, especially if it is a business alternative.

Too Straightforward

At length, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with : it’s too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use package of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test out the support , so at least you do not have to commit to a costly plan right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).

Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say so, and that I can see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 per month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.

The principal differences between an entry level consideration and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the main company, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the complete list of features.

However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split tests, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domain names; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the following section of this ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the differences, StartUp basically carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to watch the full official list here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe they’re solid and you get everything you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Zapier

A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but definitely a one.

If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the copy, the split test essentially lets you choose what percentages of the traffic you need to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s easy to use and a function.

I also think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be easy to use, I thought the basic features were fairly great.

There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of businesses, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I take a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics which result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.

However, are these attributes, or products that are different? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Complete Suite a bit perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.

Here is the Complete list of all StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per type

You can view the full list of features, together with complete Package attributes, here. If you are in a position where you can manage to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I do not believe you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive benefit that you can not do without themfor many users, just StartUp will provide a comprehensive enough bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ most important feature, so I wanted to devote special attention to it. In reality, I think a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s quite an array of templates with great layouts, however as you may expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, so poking around is not too hard.

You can even save certain templates and create own page templates, and it is pretty simple to see them. You can toggle with fundamental settings and open from the editor as you can see.

Once you open your pages from the editor, you will essentially be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it is still easy to use.

The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four main components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Consider these components as fitting inside every other (this article has a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: components, columns, and rows go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns move indoors sections, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you can have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive to its customers and go within columns.

It may sound complex, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box because it’s a section, however if I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.

You could edit by section, row, column, etc, through the side bar. Parts of your page and all the small details can be moved or altered. The template editor allows for plenty of customization, but provides control that is good . You can do a variety of things–mobile previews, edit colours, text, configurations, and nearly anything you expect. If you’re handy with code, you may also add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within these rows and columns. Personally, I don’t think this is a massive problem and the builder gives you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations section, you can look for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, simply click on the one you want and add it. Clickfunnels Zapier

The process for handling integrations is also straightforward, though you may need to look at your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process pretty simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward way of incorporating and managing integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling all these integrations is pretty simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally run and you do not have to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its ease of use–as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is pretty significant.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some expertise.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say the learning curve would be just a few hours max. If you are really behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned previously in the review.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or charge processors will require a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is things you’ll be able to determine by Googling around or seeing the docs centre.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably will not be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I would indicate all prospective users input with a few basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience here) will find the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses more than others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and even those offering B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with people offering more creative products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you’re a gentleman, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything there could be great support too. The same holds for people selling content such as classes or books.

Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, okay with the price , and you need to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is only for SaaS companies, but still adequate. Their page has a collection of classes, each with their own articles. It might be easy, but it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Zapier

As the customer service, they have a feature within the dashboard after you log into for, but I am not pleased by it. They’ve generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more advanced questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing question, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not need that kind of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in instances when features have not worked if there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, customer service representatives were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, a number of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic, After he contacted customer support. It illustrates the point, although it may be a situation that is bizarre, unlikely.

Overall Support Rating

I would not say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team mostly understand that their solutions are not simple to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least queries will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Maybe most consumers, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a minimum which makes it at least great enough. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

Therefore, what’s the overarching conclusion? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising program space and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: you may want to check If you want a more hands-on solution to your marketing needs with higher customization abilities. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the program. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone additional advantages such as strong integrations the short learning curve, and templates that are superior.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are significantly less. I’m pretty certain that for the vast majority of users, the page builder offers enough option. If you are looking first and foremost to get an easy but powerful sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it has not reached its popularity In the end, and that’s why I am giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
