What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only 3 years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market things online using differently complicated marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not just from ClickFunnels, but other advertising experiences. He played around with email advertising for a while, and started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets that his fans rave that guide and about people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels WordPress Theme
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take months. They had good potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be helpful to other people.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes people who don’t understand you personally and turns them to customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures developed to guide a web site visitor.
There’s a way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call internet traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors doesn’t turn into customers. In a brick and mortar store, that is like people walking in to your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. You can talk your clients into buying something. In a shop, you may be a bit more remote from your customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your clients’ . The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer till visitors end up at a payment page.
You are right if you feel that sounds cool –it’s become a huge bargain for internet advertising. Russell Brunson did not just get rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energyto do what otherwise requires a whole lot of proficiency and/or a range of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning your user money. They make it put up your content, very simple to produce your account, and start taking payments. Plus, it is rather easy to pick everything up–it’ll likely take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I like how easy it is to duplicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a feature that is pretty important, and they’ve pulled it off well. Once you get accustomed to it, it’s an simple to use drag and drop builder.
Built in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of your visitors that you wish to view version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations well. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.
You will also find a WordPress plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
Overall, it is good to get things so centralized: I will construct my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on developers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You can be sure that the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels WordPress Theme
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of packaging good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have when they tried to manage funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s a number of areas that need work.
A drawback is the cost. There are just two options, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your business a drawback, and like I have mentioned, you receive a package for this.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental queries, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they won’t be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a small issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a marketing. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. When you register for the software, you can try to look at the purpose features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This means you will find yourself buying online classes, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and articles is composed of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sports cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.
So much of the product is tied to his brand and his doctrine, although we all know the founder is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when some elements of the product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more on the neighborhood. As you’ve got the ability to customize extensively within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use layouts. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will go down. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a lot of cash.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you always wait or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I replicate pages using the HTML publishing alternative barring bandwidth, I also deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices change, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency in my applications if it is a business solution.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with : it’s too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which may be cheaper upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try the support , in order you don’t need to commit to an expensive program straight away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say , and I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. But it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level consideration and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that lets you characterize a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Suite, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of this ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp essentially conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official list here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think that they’re strong and you get whatever you want. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels WordPress Theme
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but definitely a notable one.
If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you select what percentages of the traffic you need to view per page, letting you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s easy to use and a fantastic function.
In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to use, I thought the fundamental features were pretty great.
There are a number of types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of businesses, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complex. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.
But are products that are different, or such attributes? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to market an iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I am just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a little perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic

If you’re in a situation where you can manage to try Etison for a bit and you also absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive advantage that you can’t do without themfor most users, simply StartUp will provide a comprehensive enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wanted to devote special attention to it. In reality, I think a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it turned into a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely for this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s quite an array of templates with great layouts, however as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You might also save certain templates and also make personal page templates, and it is rather simple to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are fundamental and open from the editor.
You’ll basically be working with a drag and drop builder When your pages start in the editor. It is a bit more complicated than some other light page builders, but it is still easy to use.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four main parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Think of these components as fitting inside every other (this informative article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns go indoors segments, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the bits that go columns and make your page interactive to its visitors.
It might sound complicated, but it is rather easy to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it’s a part, but when I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have ) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within these rows and columns. I personally don’t think this is a massive problem and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different kinds of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of instance, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few notable partners you can enhance your integrations readily. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they will come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, simply click on the one you want and insert it. Clickfunnels WordPress Theme
The procedure for managing integrations can also be straightforward, though you may have to look at your third party software’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the process simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some attributes, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of incorporating and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all of these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally run and you do not have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of use–as their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of use is really significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I would say the learning curve could be only a few hours max. If you’re really behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned previously in the review.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most questions must be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The center features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or payment processors will want a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it’s things you’ll be able to figure out by Googling about or seeing the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It unites choice and customizability with ease, and while I would suggest all prospective users enter with a few basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience here) will get the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to some businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those that offer B2B services will most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with those offering more ventures that are independent or creative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these industries: for instance, if you are a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there could be support also. The same holds for people selling content like publications or courses.
Obviously, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you should determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, okay with the price , and you need to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anybody who wants to maintain a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which is composed of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but nevertheless sufficient. Their page has a collection of classes. It might be simple, but content-wise it isn’t too shabby. Clickfunnels WordPress Theme
As for the customer service that is direct, they have a chat feature within the dashboard once you log in, but I’m not overly delighted by it. They’ve generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more advanced questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they required three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t provide that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in cases when attributes haven’t worked as promised or if there were bizarre site malfunctions, customer service representatives were supposedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. When he contacted customer service, he found that they were unhelpful and apathetic. It illustrates the point, although it may be a unlikely situation.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think the team understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools new to their users, and they have put resources in their support to make it decent. At least basic questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Maybe users wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it largely meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching verdict? It’s good–4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate competitor in the marketing software space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: you may want to look If you need a more hands-on answer to your advertising needs with customization skills. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the program. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives such as strong integrations, the learning curve, and templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for significantly less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty certain that for the majority of prospective users, the webpage builder offers option. If you are looking first and foremost for an easy but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It hasn’t reached its popularity on empty promises, and that I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
