What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complex marketing technologies, called sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not just from ClickFunnels, but other advertising experiences. He played around with email advertising for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Expert Secrets his lovers rave that guide and about people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels WordPress Registration

ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team create funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take months. They had good potential as a product and soon realized their creation would be useful to others.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes individuals who don’t understand you personally and turns them into clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to direct a web site visitor.

There is a way of considering it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone internet traffic or site visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. In a physical store, you can talk your clients into purchasing something. In a shop that is digital, you could be a bit more distant from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer until people end up at a page.

You’re right, if you think that sounds cool –it’s turned into a huge deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to help save time and energyto do exactly what otherwise demands a whole lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money for your consumer. They make it put your content up very simple to make your account, and start taking payments. Plus, it is rather simple to pick everything up–it will probably take you a couple hours to find out most of what you require, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are very useful here. I like how easy it’s to duplicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a fairly important feature, and they have pulled it off nicely. Once you become used to it, it’s an builder.

A/B analyzing

Built in A/B testing is excellent. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of your visitors you wish to see variant A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a WordPress plugin which lets you insert ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

In general, it is good to have things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.

All of this really will save you time and money, resources you would otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Worth

You can rest assured the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels WordPress Registration

ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they’d have when they attempted to handle funnels another way.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few areas that need work.

A drawback is the cost. There are two pricing alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your business, a huge drawback, and like I’ve said, you receive a good package for it.

Lackluster Client Support

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with fundamental queries, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they won’t be quite beneficial.

Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator

This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but I take a slight issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a advertising for sure. But from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to look at the objective features of the software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.

This usually means you will end up buying online courses, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and posts is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they are more focused on earning quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.

We all know the founder is a marketing but so much of the item is tied to his philosophy and his own brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard not to get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few elements of the merchandise (i.e., client service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels however more about the neighborhood. While you have the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, many people use layouts. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some errors or will go down. Though this really doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a good deal of money.

It’s also difficult to know when your pages are working or not, if you don’t always check or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I clone webpages using the HTML publishing option barring bandwidth, I also deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.

I enjoy consistency in my software if it is a business alternative.

Too Straightforward

Finally, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches which may be more economical upfront and give more control over managing certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the support , so at least you do not need to commit to a costly program straight away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).

Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some might say so, and I could see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. But it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty good job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.

The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.

However, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that allows you describe a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Total Suite, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the following section of this ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the differences, StartUp basically carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the complete official record here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe that they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels WordPress Registration

A/B split testing is a feature, but unquestionably a one.

If you duplicate a page and make changes to the backup, the split test basically lets you choose what percentages of the traffic that you want to see per page, allowing you test conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a fantastic function and very simple to use.

In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the basic features were fairly great.

There are quite a few types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different types of companies, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I will just have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complicated. The chief objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to create managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.

However, are such features, or products that are separate? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell a iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a bit perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.

Here is the full list of StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per form

You can view the complete list of features, along with complete Package features, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to afford to try out Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple way of increasing sales, I do not believe you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can not do without themfor many users, just StartUp will provide a thorough enough package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ most important feature, so I wished to devote exclusive attention to it. In reality, I think a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it turned into a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s quite an array of templates with good layouts, however as you can expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You can even save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it’s pretty easy to see them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with basic settings.

You be working using a drag and drop builder once your pages open from the editor. It’s a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.

The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Consider these components as fitting within each other (this article has a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and components go inside of segments. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns move indoors sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have around four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive and go inside columns.

It may sound complex, but it is rather easy to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a section, but when I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.

You could even edit by section, row, column, and so on, via the side bar. All the little details and parts of your page can be altered or moved. The editor allows for lots of customization, but provides control also. You can do all sorts of things–mobile previews, edit colors, text, settings, and just about anything you expect. If you’re handy with code, then you can even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I have heard (but do not have personally) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within those rows and columns. I personally don’t believe this is a huge issue and the builder provides you enough control without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you can enhance your integrations. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, simply click on the one. Clickfunnels WordPress Registration

The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you may need to look at your third party program’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the procedure pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward method of adding and managing integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of store unless you are using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing each of these integrations is pretty easy–so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you’re attempting to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations usually run and you do not need to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of use–as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is pretty important.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I would say that the learning curve would be just a few hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned earlier in the review of Russell Brunson if you are actually behind.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it seems to me like most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.

All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it’s things you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or seeing the docs center.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it likely won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d indicate all potential users input with a few basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will get the maximum use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies more than others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those offering B2B services will probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does individual ventures or creative products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you’re a florist, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there could be support too. The same goes for individuals selling content such as courses or publications.

Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you need to determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price , and you need to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who wants to maintain a much better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which is composed of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is nevertheless adequate, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a series of categories, each with their own articles. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it might be easy. Clickfunnels WordPress Registration

As after you log into for the customer service that is immediate, they have a feature inside the dashboard, but I am not pleased with it. They have been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In cases when attributes haven’t worked when there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, client support reps were supposedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. When he contacted customer service, he discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic. It illustrates the point, although it might be a scenario that is unlikely.

Total Support Rating

I would not state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team mostly understand that their solutions are not simple to use and/or involve tools new to their users, and they’ve put enough resources into their support to make it decent. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Maybe most users, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it largely meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the verdict? It’s good! It’s a legitimate competitor in the marketing software area and worth trying out.

Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you may want to look into third party choices you’ll be able to tie together If you want a more solution to your marketing needs with customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone other advantages like the learning curve, solid integrations, and superior templates.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be helpful for entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I’m pretty sure that for the huge majority of potential users, enough choice is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking first and foremost for an sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. It has not reached its popularity on empty promises, and that I am giving it 4/5 stars.
