What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just three years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell things online using differently complicated marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not only from ClickFunnels, but marketing adventures. He played with email marketing for some time, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets, two novels and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets his lovers rave that guide and about people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Wix
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. However, they soon realized their production would be useful to others and had great potential as a product.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes individuals who don’t know you and turns them into clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures designed to direct a website visitor into the checkout page.
There is a less boring method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call web traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn many of your visitors into clients. In a physical store, that’s like people walking in to your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. At a store, you can speak your customers. In a store, you may be a little more distant from the customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your customers’ through principles of psychology. The funnel works step-by-step, draw visitors in closer and closer till visitors wind up in a page.
You are correct if you feel this sounds cool –it’s become a massive deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energyto do exactly what otherwise demands a lot of competence and/or an array of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning the consumer money. They make it put your content up simple to produce your accounts, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is rather easy to select everything up–it’ll likely take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I like how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a fairly important attribute, and they have pulled it. It’s an builder once you get accustomed to it.
Built in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and choose the amounts of the traffic you want to view version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to control.
You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin that lets you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
Overall, it is good to get things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All this really does save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to invest on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You may be sure the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. If you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Wix
ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they would have when they attempted to handle funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s a number of areas that need work.
A small drawback is the cost. There are just two pricing alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your business, a massive drawback, and like I have said, you receive a package for it.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental questions, but if you ask them more difficult things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of their product but that I take a small issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a marketing for certain. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you register for the software, you can try to look at the objective features of this software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This usually means you will end up buying online classes, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and many articles is composed of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sport cars. Although these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick cash instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy online marketer stuff.
Most of us know the founder is a marketing magician, but much of this product is tied to his doctrine and his own brand. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few aspects of their product (i.e., client service) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more on the community. As you’ve got the capability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many people use similar designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some errors or will go down. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a lot of money.
In addition, it is hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you always wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I replicate webpages using the HTML printing alternative barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency within my software if it’s a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be more economical upfront and yield more control over managing specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use package of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try out the service, in order you do not need to commit to a costly plan straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say so, and that I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 per month. But it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty great job. I personally consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that allows you describe a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the complete official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I believe that they’re solid and you get everything you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Wix
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but unquestionably a notable one.
If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the split test basically lets you choose what percentages of your visitors that you need to view per page, letting you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It is a great function and simple to use.
I also think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be simple to use, I believed the fundamental features were pretty good.
There are a number of kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several types of companies, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my view, Full Suite is just three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complicated. The chief objective of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate program easier and more efficient.
However, are such attributes, or separate products? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to market an iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I am just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a little perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of all StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per form
You can view the complete list of features, along with complete Suite features, here. If you are in a position where you are able to manage to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I do not think you would find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can’t do without themfor many users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote attention. In fact, I feel a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s quite a range of templates with great layouts, though as you can expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You can even save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it’s pretty easy to see them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with settings.
When you open your pages from the editor, you be working with a drag and drop builder. It is a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it is still easy to use.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four main components: sections, columns, rows, and components. Think of these components as fitting within each other (this informative article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: components, columns, and rows go inside of sections. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or around four. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive and go columns.
It may sound complex, but it is pretty simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a part, but when I had been hovering over a component, it could be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you have to work within those rows and columns. I personally don’t believe this is a huge issue and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different kinds of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of instance, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few noteworthy partners you can enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they will come up. It, simply click the one you desire and insert it. Clickfunnels Wix
The process for handling integrations is also straightforward, though you may need to check your third party program’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the procedure pretty straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few attributes, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be a lot of store unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all these integrations is pretty simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are attempting to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally operate and you do not need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main market is its simplicity of use–because their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the situation, assessing ease of usage is really important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I would say that the learning curve could be just a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson, if you behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me like most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it probably will not be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all prospective users enter with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience ) will find the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and even those that offer B2B services will probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does products or ventures that are individual. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you’re a gentleman, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there would be great support too. The same goes for individuals selling content such as classes or books.
Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you should decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely in their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price , and you have to produce your traffic work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a much better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which consists of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but still adequate. Their docs page includes a collection of classes, each with their own posts. It may be easy, however content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Wix
As for the customer assistance that is immediate, they have a chat feature inside the dashboard once you log in, but I’m not delighted by it. They have been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t provide that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in cases when features haven’t worked as promised or if there were bizarre site malfunctions, client support representatives were allegedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, some of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. When he contacted customer service, he discovered that they were unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it may be a situation.
Total Support Rating
I would not state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel that the team largely understand that their services are not easy to use and/or demand tools new to their users, and they’ve put enough resources in their support to make it decent. At least questions will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Maybe users would not say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it mostly meets. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the conclusion? It’s good! It’s a legitimate competitor in the marketing program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you may want to look, If you need a more solution to your advertising needs with greater customization abilities. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives such as the learning curveintegrations, and superior templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty sure that for the vast majority of potential users, option is offered by the page builder. If you’re looking first and foremost for an sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not attained its popularity on empty promises, and that I am giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
