What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complex advertising technologies, called sales funnels (more about those in a second).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune, not only from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played around with email marketing for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Expert Secrets his fans rave about and that direct people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Webinar

ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would usually take weeks. But they soon realized their creation would be useful to others and had great potential as a product.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes individuals who do not understand you and turns them into clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to guide a website visitor into the checkout page.

There is a method of considering it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or site traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn into clients. In a physical store, that is like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. In a physical store, you can speak your customers. In a store, you may be a bit more distant from your customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer until people wind up at a payment page.

You are correct if you feel that sounds cool –it has turned into a massive deal for online marketing. Russell Brunson did get rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it as well.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to save time and energy–to do what requires a lot of competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning your user money. They make it put up your content very simple to produce your account, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty simple to pick up everything –it will probably take you a couple hours to figure out a lot of what you need, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a attribute that is pretty important, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. As soon as you become used to it, it is an builder.

A/B testing

Constructed in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is duplicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the numbers of your traffic you wish to see variant A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin that allows you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress site. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active installations.

All in one

Overall, it is great to have things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.

All of this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Worth

You may be sure the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the full package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Webinar

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a great job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have if they tried to handle funnels another manner.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s a number of areas that require work.

Overpriced?

A drawback is the price. There are two options, at $97 per month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your business, a massive drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you receive a fantastic package for it.

Lackluster Client Support

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with fundamental queries, but if you inquire more difficult things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be very helpful.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder

This is not an objective criticism of their product but that I take a slight issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a great marketing. However, from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. When you sign up for the software, you may attempt to look at the objective features of the software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.

This means you will end up purchasing online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and articles is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Though these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more concentrated on earning quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.

So much of the product is tied to his philosophy and his own brand, although Most of us know the founder is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s difficult to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some aspects of the merchandise (i.e., client service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels but more on the community. While you’ve got the ability to personalize extensively within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use similar layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems floating around. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some mistakes. Though this doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, you can potentially lose a good deal of cash.

It’s also difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always check or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I replicate pages using the HTML printing alternative barring bandwidth, I also deal with some glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etcand it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.

I like consistency in my software, especially if it’s a business alternative.

Too Simple

Finally, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that can be more economical upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use package of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try the support , so at least you do not need to commit to an expensive program straight away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).

Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say , and I could see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. However, it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.

The principal differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.

However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you characterize a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and custom domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.

To outline the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to view the complete official record here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Webinar

A/B split testing is definitely, although a feature a notable one.

If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the copy, the split test essentially enables you to select what percentages of your traffic you need to view per page, letting you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It is very easy to use and a great function.

I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for other settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the fundamental features were fairly good.

There are a number of kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several kinds of businesses, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I’ll just have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complicated. The chief objective of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to make managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.

However, are such attributes, or products? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels trying to market a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Complete Suite a bit perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.

Here’s the Complete list of all StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Mail integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per form

You may view the complete list of features, along with Full Package features, here. If you’re in a situation where you can afford to try out Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I do not think you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive advantage that you can not do without themfor most users, simply StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is probably ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote special attention. In fact, I feel a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.

Anyhow, there is quite an array of templates with good layouts, however as you can expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around is not too hard.

You can also save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it’s rather easy to see them. As you can see, you open from the editor and can toggle with settings.

You be working with a drop and drag builder When your pages open in the editor. It is a bit more complex than some other light page builders, but it’s still easy to use.

The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Consider these parts as fitting inside each other (this informative article includes a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: rows, columns, and components go inside of segments. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive and go inside columns.

It may sound complex, but it is rather easy to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box since it is a section, but when I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.

You could even edit by section, row, column, and so on, through the side bar. All of the details and parts of your webpage can be altered or moved. The editor allows for lots of customization, but offers good control too. You can do a variety of things–mobile previews, edit colors, text, configurations, and nearly anything you anticipate. If you are handy with code, then you can even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I have heard (but do not have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within these columns and rows. Personally, I don’t believe this is a huge problem and the builder gives you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of instance, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has quite a few notable partners you may enhance your integrations readily. Here’s a Complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It, just click on the one. Clickfunnels Webinar

The procedure for handling integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to look at your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the process simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple method of adding and handling integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be much of a store unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing each these integrations is pretty easy–as long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally operate smoothly and you do not have to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main market is its ease of usage –as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, evaluating ease of use is pretty important.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I would say the learning curve could be just a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the critique of Russell Brunson, if you behind.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it appears to me like most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is things you can figure out by Googling about or seeing the docs centre.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it probably will not be enough to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I would indicate all prospective users input with a few simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience ) will get the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a businesses more than others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and those offering B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does nicely with those offering more creative products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you’re a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good method of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything there would be support too. The same goes for individuals selling content like courses or books.

Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price tag, and you need to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place which consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is sufficient, although just for SaaS companies. Their docs page has a collection of categories, each with their own articles. It might be easy, however content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Webinar

As for the customer service that is immediate, they’ve a feature within the dashboard once you log in, but I’m not too pleased with it. They’ve been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they required to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that kind of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in cases when attributes haven’t worked if there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, client service representatives were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. After he contacted customer service, he found that they were unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it may be a situation.

Overall Support Rating

I would not state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think the team understand that their solutions are not perfectly simple to use and/or demand tools fresh for their customers, and they have put resources into their support to make it decent. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Perhaps most users, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it mostly meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

So, what’s the verdict? It’s fine –4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate contender in the advertising software area and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: you may want to check If you need a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with greater customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone other positives such as integrations that are strong, the learning curve, and templates that are good.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and attain higher conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for less entrepreneurs. I am pretty sure that for the majority of users, the webpage builder offers option. If you’re looking for an sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that I’m giving it 4/5 celebrities.
