ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell things online using otherwise complicated marketing technology, called sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played with email marketing for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets his fans rave that guide and about people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels Webhook
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would normally take weeks. But they had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be helpful to other people.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes people who don’t know you and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps designed to direct a web site visitor.
There’s a way of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call internet traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the store without purchasing anything. At a store, you can speak your clients into buying something. In a store that is digital, you may be a little more distant from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel functions step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer until people end up at a payment page.
You’re correct if you think that sounds cool –it has become a huge deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did become rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save you time and energy–to do what demands a lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning your consumer money. They make it put your content up quite simple to make your account, and begin taking payments. Plus, it’s rather simple to pick up everything –it will likely take you a few hours to find out most of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to duplicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a pretty important feature, and they have pulled it off well. It’s an builder As soon as you become used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of the visitors you wish to see variant A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.
You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
Overall, it’s good to have things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You can be sure that the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp account is really decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Webhook
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they’d have when they attempted to handle funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of areas that need work.
A drawback is the price. There are just two options, at $97 per month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your organization a drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you get a package for it.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic queries, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more innovative features, they will not be very beneficial.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but I take a slight issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a fantastic advertising. But from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you register for the applications, you can try to examine the purpose features of the software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This means you’ll end up buying online classes, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and many posts is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more focused on earning quick cash instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.
Much of this product is tied into his own brand and his philosophy, although Most of us know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few elements of their product (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the community. While you’ve got the ability to customize extensively within ClickFunnels, many people use similar layouts. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some errors. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a lot of money.
In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. Barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches when I clone webpages using the HTML printing alternative.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I like consistency within my applications, particularly if it’s a business solution.
Finally, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches which may be cheaper upfront and give more control over managing specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use package of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the support , so at least you don’t need to commit to a costly program right away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say , and I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 a month. But it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. I consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality which lets you characterize a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Package, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp essentially carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can watch the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe that they’re strong and you get everything you want. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all good examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Webhook
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a notable one.
If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the split test basically enables you to select what percentages of the visitors you need to view per page, letting you test conversion rates very conveniently. It’s easy to use and a function.
I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the basic features were pretty great.
There are quite a few kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of companies, and also you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is just three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool designed to create managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.
But are such features, or products that are separate? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels trying to market an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here is the full list of all StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You may view the full list of features, along with complete Package features, here. If you are in a position where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a little and you also absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I do not believe you’d wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive benefit that you can’t do without themfor many users, just StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wanted to devote special attention to it. In reality, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is quite a range of templates with good layouts, though as you can expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You can also save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it’s rather easy to find them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings that are fundamental and open from the editor.
Once your pages start in the editor, you will essentially be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Consider these parts as fitting within each other (this article has a helpful diagram). Basically: elements, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns especially go into rows. This way you may have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive to its visitors and go columns.
It might sound complex, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box since it is a section, however if I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) about the builder is how grid-like it is–you need to work within these rows and columns. Personally, I do not believe this is a massive problem and the builder provides you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you can enhance your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or just click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click the one you desire and add it. Clickfunnels Webhook
The procedure for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you may have to look at your third party program’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a store unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all these integrations is fairly easy–as long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations operate smoothly and you don’t need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main market is its ease of use–as their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, evaluating ease of usage is really important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say the learning curve could be only a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson, if you are actually behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels all on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me like most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or seeing the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it probably will not be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I’d indicate all potential users enter with a few basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience ) will get the most use from it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to some companies more than others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and those that offer B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does individual ventures or innovative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you’re a gentleman, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there could be good support also. The same holds for individuals selling content like courses or publications.
Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price , and you have to make your traffic work for you , I doubt you would be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to maintain a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is adequate, although only for SaaS companies. Their page has a series of classes. It may be simple, but content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Webhook
As for the customer service that is immediate, they have a feature within the dashboard once you log into, but I’m not too pleased with it. They’ve been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they required to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not need that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In instances when attributes have not worked as promised or if there were bizarre site malfunctions, customer service reps were supposedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic, After he contacted customer service. It illustrates the point, although it may be a improbable situation.
Total Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel the team understand that their services are not absolutely easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their users, and they have put resources in their support to make it decent. At least questions will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Most users would not state ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets a minimum which makes it. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching verdict? It is good! It’s a legitimate competitor in the marketing software space and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: Should you need a more answer to your marketing needs with customization abilities that are higher, you might want to check. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let other advantages such as the learning curveintegrations, and superior templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and reach conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be useful for internet-exposed entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I am pretty certain that for the huge majority of prospective users, the webpage builder offers enough option. If you’re looking first and foremost to get an easy but powerful sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. It has not reached its popularity on promises, and that is why I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
