ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using differently complicated advertising technologies, called sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He has made a fortune, but not only from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played with email advertising for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Secrets his fans rave about and that direct people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels Thank You Page
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. They had great potential as a product and soon realized their creation would be helpful to other people.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes people who don’t understand you personally and turns them into clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to guide a web site visitor to the checkout page.
There is a method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you call internet traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can talk your customers into purchasing something. In a shop, you could be a little more distant from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer till visitors end up in a page.
If you feel that sounds cool, you are right–it’s become a huge bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson did not just become wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it as well.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save time and energy–to do what otherwise requires a whole lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money for the user. They make it put up your content simple to produce your account, and start taking payments. Additionally, it is pretty simple to select everything up–it will probably take you a couple hours to figure out most of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I like how easy it is to duplicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a pretty important attribute, and they’ve pulled it off well. It is an builder once you become used to it.
Built in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is replicate a page, make your changes, and choose the numbers of your traffic that you want to see version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.
You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which lets you insert ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
In general, it’s good to have things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You may rest assured the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. In case you have more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Thank You Page
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have when they tried to handle funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few places that need work.
A small drawback is the price. There are two pricing alternatives, at $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not like I’ve mentioned a different investment in your organization, and a huge drawback, you get a good package for this.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental questions, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of the product but that I take a slight issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is hard to escape the hype. They have a fantastic advertising. But from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you register for the applications, you can try to look at the objective features of this software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This means you will find yourself purchasing online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and articles consists of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.
Most of us know the founder is a marketing magician, but so much of this item is tied to his doctrine and his own brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s difficult to not get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when some elements of their product (i.e., client service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. While you have the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, many people use similar designs. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some mistakes or will go down. Though this doesn’t occur often, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a good deal of cash.
It’s also hard to know if your pages are working or not, unless you always check or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I clone webpages using the HTML publishing option barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options change, etcand it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency in my software if it is a business alternative.
Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with : it’s too easy, and too pricey for its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that can be more economical upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use package of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try the support , so at least you don’t need to commit to an expensive plan right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and I can see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the complete list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide tests, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to view the full official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re strong and you get whatever you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Thank You Page
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a one.
If you replicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the divide test basically lets you select what percentages of your visitors you need to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It is a great function and quite easy to use.
I also think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the fundamental features were fairly good.
There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into different kinds of companies, and you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is just three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The chief objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.
However, are such attributes, or different products? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to market an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a little confusing and eliminates the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here is the full list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You can view the complete list of features, together with Full Suite features, here. If you’re in a position where you can afford to try Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing earnings, I do not believe you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for many users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote attention. In fact, I feel a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is quite an array of templates with great layouts, though as you may expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You can even save certain templates and make own page templates, and it’s pretty easy to find them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with basic settings and open in the editor.
When your pages start from the editor, you will basically be working with a drop and drag builder. It’s a bit more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Consider these parts as fitting within each other (this article has a helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and components go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that go within columns and make your page interactive to its visitors.
It might sound complex, but it’s rather easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box because it is a section, but when I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but do not have ) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within these columns and rows. Personally, I do not believe this is a massive issue and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you can add to your integrations readily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can look for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It, just click the one you desire and insert it. Clickfunnels Thank You Page
The procedure for handling integrations can also be simple, though you may need to look at your third party program’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure pretty simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be a lot of shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all these integrations is fairly simple –as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations run smoothly and you don’t have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its simplicity of use–as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which enable the less experienced save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of use is really significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I would say that the learning curve would be only a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned earlier in the critique of Russell Brunson if you behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it seems to me like most queries must be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The center features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s stuff you’ll be able to figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it probably will not be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It unites alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all potential users enter with a few simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and even those offering B2B services would probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does ventures that are independent or innovative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you’re a florist, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything there could be support also. The same goes for people selling content like books or classes.
Of course, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price tag, and you need to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to maintain a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area that consists of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is only for SaaS companies, but adequate. Their page has a series of categories. It might be easy, but content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Thank You Page
As for the customer service that is immediate, they’ve a chat feature inside the dashboard after you log in, but I’m not overly delighted by it. They have been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more complex questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing query, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when attributes haven’t worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, customer service representatives were supposedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. After he contacted customer support, he found they were unhelpful and apathetic. It might be a scenario that is weird, unlikely, however it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team largely understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools new for their customers, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it decent. At least basic questions will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Perhaps consumers, myself included, wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets. Within this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
So, what’s the verdict? It’s fine! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: If you want a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with customization skills, you may want to check into third party options you’ll be able to tie together. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or some glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let other advantages like strong integrations, the brief learning curve, and templates that are good.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be useful for less entrepreneurs. I am pretty sure that for the majority of potential users, option is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking to get an sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. In the end, it hasn’t reached its popularity on promises, and that’s why I am giving it 4/5 stars.
