What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market things online using differently complex advertising technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played with email advertising for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Secrets his fans rave about and that direct people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Template

ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. But they had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be helpful to other people.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who don’t understand you personally and turns them to customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures developed to guide a web site visitor to the checkout page.

There’s a boring method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or site traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a physical shop, that is like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. In a physical store, you can speak your customers. In a store, you could be a little more remote from the visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your clients’ through principles of psychology. The funnel functions incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer till visitors end up in a payment page.

If you feel that sounds cool, you’re right–it has turned into a huge bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson didn’t only get wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it as well.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energyto do what otherwise demands a whole lot of competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money. They make it put your content up very easy to make your accounts, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it is rather easy to pick up everything –it will probably take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you require, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are very useful here. I like how simple it is to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a pretty important feature, and they have pulled it. It is an simple to use drag and drop builder As soon as you become used to it.

A/B analyzing

Built in A/B testing is great too. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the amounts of the traffic that you wish to see version A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.

All in one

Overall, it is good to get things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.

All of this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Worth

You may rest assured the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is really decent. If you have more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Template

ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they would have when they attempted to manage funnels another way.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s quite a few places that need work.

A little drawback is the price. There are two pricing options, at either $97 per month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t like I have said , another investment in your organization, and a massive drawback, you receive a fantastic package for this.

Lackluster Client Support

Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental questions, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more innovative features, they will not be quite beneficial.

Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Founder

This is not an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a slight problem with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a advertising for sure. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the software, you may attempt to look at the purpose features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and made to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.

This means you’ll end up purchasing online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and many posts consists of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Although these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more focused on making quick cash rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of trainers and experts, and other spammy internet marketer stuff.

So much of this product is tied to his own brand and his philosophy, although we all know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s difficult to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some elements of their merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more on the neighborhood. As you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, many men and women use layouts. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will go down. Though this doesn’t happen often, there is little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or forcing traffic to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, you may potentially lose a lot of cash.

In addition, it is hard to know if your pages are working or not, unless you constantly wait or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I replicate webpages using the HTML printing alternative barring uptime, I also deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options change, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.

I enjoy consistency within my applications, particularly if it is a business solution.

Too Simple

Finally, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches which can be more economical upfront and give more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the support , in order you do not have to commit to an expensive plan right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).

Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some would say so, and I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 a month. But it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a fairly good job. I consider it a fantastic investment.

The main differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the complete list of features.

However, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality which allows you describe a product as a one time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domain names; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of the ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the gaps, StartUp essentially conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re solid and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Template

A/B split testing is definitely, although a feature a noteworthy one.

If you replicate a page and also make changes to the copy, the divide test basically lets you select what percentages of your traffic you need to see per page, allowing you test conversion rates very handily. It is a fantastic function and easy to use.

I also think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the fundamental features were pretty great.

There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to several types of companies, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I’ll just take a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.

However, are products that are separate, or these attributes? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to market an iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but perhaps I am just cynical. In any case, it gets Complete Suite a bit perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.

Here is the Complete list of StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Mail integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order pages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per form

You may view the complete list of features, together with Full Package features, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to manage to try Etison for a bit and you also absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I don’t think you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can not do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will provide a comprehensive enough bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is probably ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote special attention. In fact, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this particular landing page builder.

Anyhow, there is rather an array of templates with great layouts, though as you can expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around is not too hard.

You can even save certain templates and also make personal page templates, and it’s rather easy to find them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings and open in the editor.

You will essentially be working using a drop and drag builder When your pages open from the editor. It’s a little more complex than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Consider these parts as fitting inside each other (this article includes a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and components go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns move inside segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with one column. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive and go inside columns.

It may sound complicated, but it is rather easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it’s a part, but when I had been hovering over a component, it could be orange.

You can also edit by section, row, column, etc, through the side bar. Parts of your webpage and all the small details can be moved or altered. The editor allows for plenty of customization, but provides control that is good too. You can do all sorts of things–cellular previews, edit colours, text, settings, and just about anything you expect. If you’re handy with code, then you can also add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have ) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you have to work within these columns and rows. I personally don’t believe this is a massive issue and the builder gives you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional advertising and marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different types of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you can enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a full list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations segment, you can look for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, simply click the one. Clickfunnels Template

The procedure for managing integrations can also be simple, though you may need to look at your third party program’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process pretty straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple way of adding and handling integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing each these integrations is pretty easy–so long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are attempting to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations normally operate smoothly and you don’t have to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of usage –as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, assessing ease of use is really important.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some expertise.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say the learning curve could be only a couple hours max. If you are really behind, pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me like most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or payment processors will want a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or visiting the docs center.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all potential users input with a few basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will get the most use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those offering B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does ventures that are individual or products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those industries: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there could be support also. The same holds for individuals selling content such as classes or books.

Of course, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price , and you need to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you would be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a much better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is nevertheless adequate, although just for SaaS companies. Their docs page has a series of classes. It may be simple, but content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Template

As once you log in for the customer service that is direct, they have a chat feature inside the dashboard, but I am not delighted with it. They’ve generally been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In cases when features have not worked if there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, client service representatives were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic After he contacted customer support. It illustrates the point, although it might be a bizarre, unlikely scenario.

Total Support Rating

I would not state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team understand that their services are not perfectly easy to use and/or demand tools new for their customers, and they have put resources in their support to make it decent. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Maybe users, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets a bare minimum which makes it. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

So, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is fine! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing program space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: Should you want a more hands-on answer to your marketing needs with greater customization skills, you may want to check. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives such as templates that are superior integrations, and the learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty useful for significantly less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty sure that for the majority of users, the page builder offers choice. If you are looking for an easy but powerful sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. After all, it has not reached its popularity on empty promises, and that I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
