What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only three years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complicated marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He has made a fortune, but not only from ClickFunnels, but other advertising experiences. He played with email advertising for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Expert Secrets that his lovers rave that direct and about people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Tax

ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as developing funnels would usually take weeks. However, they soon realized their production would be helpful to other people and had good potential as a commodity.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes individuals who don’t understand you and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to guide a website visitor.

There is a less dull way of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the store without buying anything. You can talk your customers into buying something. In a store that is digital, you may be a little more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer until people wind up at a payment page.

You’re correct if you think this sounds cool –it has become a huge deal for online advertising. Russell Brunson did not just become rich by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it as well.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energy–to do what otherwise demands a lot of proficiency and/or a range of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Cash

Among the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning money. They make it put up your content, quite simple to produce your account, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it’s rather simple to select everything up–it will likely take you a few hours to find out most of what you require, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it is to duplicate pages, and the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a fairly important attribute, and they’ve pulled it. It’s an simple to use drag and drop builder, once you become accustomed to it.

A/B analyzing

Built in A/B testing is excellent too. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of your visitors that you wish to see version A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.

All in one

Overall, it’s good to have things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from one platform.

All of this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Worth

You can rest assured the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp account is pretty decent. In case you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Tax

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they would have when they tried to manage funnels another way.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few areas that need work.

A small drawback is the cost. There are two pricing options, at either $97 per month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your business a huge drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you get a package for it.

Lackluster Client Service

Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with fundamental queries, but if you inquire more difficult things, particularly about more innovative features, they will not be very helpful.

Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator

This is not an objective criticism of their product but that I take a slight issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a marketing for certain. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. When you register for the software, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of this software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.

This usually means you will end up buying online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and posts consists of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Although these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more focused on earning quick cash instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online classes, saturation of trainers and experts, along with other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.

A lot of this product is tied to his brand and his doctrine, although we know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s hard not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when a few elements of their product (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more on the neighborhood. While you have the ability to customize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use designs. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t occur often, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or forcing traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a lot of cash.

It’s also hard to know when your pages are working or not, unless you always wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. Barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches when I clone webpages using the HTML publishing option.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options change, etcand it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.

I enjoy consistency in my software, especially if it is a business alternative.

Too Straightforward

At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that may be cheaper upfront and give more control over managing specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the service, so at least you don’t need to commit to an expensive program right away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).

Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say so, and I can see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. But it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty great job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.

The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.

However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality which allows you characterize a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official list .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Tax

A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but definitely a one.

If you duplicate a page and make changes to the copy, the split test essentially lets you select what percentages of your traffic you need to view per page, allowing you test conversion rates very conveniently. It is a function and quite simple to use.

I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be easy to use, I believed the basic features were fairly good.

There are a number of types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several types of businesses, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I’ll just take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Full Suite is just three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complicated. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.

But are separate products, or these features? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to market an iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.

Here is the Complete list of StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per form

You can view the full list of features, along with complete Package features, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing sales, I do not think you would wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can not do without themfor many users, simply StartUp will provide a comprehensive enough package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wished to devote attention. In reality, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely with this particular landing page builder.

Anyway, there is rather an array of templates with good designs, however as you may expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel type, so poking around is not too hard.

You might also save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it’s pretty simple to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with basic settings and open from the editor.

Once your pages open from the editor, you’ll essentially be working using a drag and drop builder. It’s a bit more complicated than some other light page builders, but it is still easy to use.

The editor uses a page structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Consider these components as fitting within every other (this informative article includes a helpful diagram). Basically: rows, columns, and components go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the lively bits that go columns and make your page interactive.

It might sound complicated, but it’s rather simple to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box because it’s a section, but if I was hovering over a component, it could be orange.

You could edit section, row, column, etc, via the side bar. Parts of your page and all of the details can be altered or moved. The template editor allows for plenty of customization, but offers control . You can do a variety of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, configurations, and just about anything you anticipate. If you are handy with code, then you can also add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A small criticism I have heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is how grid-like it is–you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I do not think this is a huge problem and the builder provides you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few partners you can enhance your integrations readily. Here’s a full list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one you want and insert it. Clickfunnels Tax

The procedure for handling integrations is also simple, though you may have to look at your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll discover the procedure pretty straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few attributes, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very straightforward way of adding and managing integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section different from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling all of these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you’re attempting to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations usually operate smoothly and you don’t need to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of use–because their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is pretty significant.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I would say the learning curve could be only a few hours max. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned earlier in the critique of Russell Brunson.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it seems to me as if most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s stuff you can determine by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably will not be enough to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I would suggest all prospective users enter with a few simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience here) will find the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to some businesses over others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those offering B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does innovative products or ventures that are individual. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you’re a gentleman, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good method of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything there would be support too. The same holds for people selling content like publications or classes.

Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller business, okay with the price , and you need to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to maintain a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place that consists of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is adequate, although only for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a series of categories. It might be easy, but content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Tax

As for the customer service that is immediate, they’ve a chat feature within the dashboard after you log in, but I am not delighted by it. They’ve been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not need that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. Notably, in cases when features have not worked if there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, customer support representatives were allegedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, some of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. After he contacted customer support, he found they were unhelpful and apathetic. It illustrates the point, although it may be a situation that is unlikely.

Overall Support Rating

I would not say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel that the team understand that their services are not easy to use and/or demand tools new for their customers, and they have put enough resources into their support to make it adequate. At least questions will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Maybe consumers, myself included, wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

Therefore, what’s the verdict that is overarching? It is fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising program space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: Should you want a more hands-on solution to your marketing needs with customization abilities that are greater, you might want to check into third party options you’ll be able to connect. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone other positives like templates that are superior, integrations that are solid, and the brief learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty helpful for less internet-exposed entrepreneurs. I am pretty sure that for the majority of potential users, enough choice is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking to get an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it has not reached its popularity In the end, and that I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
