What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complex advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played with email marketing for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets his lovers rave that guide and about people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels Table Rush
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for different ventures, as developing funnels would normally take months. They soon realized their production would be helpful to others and had good potential as a commodity.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes people who don’t understand you personally and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to direct a web site visitor into the checkout page.
There’s a less dull way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or site traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. At a store, you can speak your clients. In a digital store, you could be a bit more remote from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your clients’ . The funnel functions incremental, bring traffic in closer and closer till people wind up at a payment page.
If you feel that sounds cool, you’re correct –it has turned into a massive deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did become rich by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save time and energy–to do what otherwise requires a whole lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making the consumer money. They make it put your content up, simple to make your account, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is pretty simple to select up everything –it’ll likely take you a couple hours to figure out most of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I like how easy it’s to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It’s an easy to use drag and drop builder, once you become accustomed to it.
Built in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is duplicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the numbers of your visitors that you wish to view variant A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.
You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
Overall, it’s good to have things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really will save time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the complete package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Table Rush
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have when they tried to handle funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s a number of places that need work.
A drawback is the price. There are two alternatives, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not a drawback, just another investment in your organization, and like I have said, you get a package for it.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with basic questions, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they will not be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This is not an objective criticism of their merchandise but that I take a slight problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a great marketing. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you register for the software, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This means you’ll find yourself buying online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and many posts consists of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more focused on making quick cash instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy online marketer stuff.
We know the creator is a marketing wizard, but much of this product is tied into his own brand and his doctrine. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s hard to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when a few elements of the product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more about the community. While you have the capability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, many people use similar layouts. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some mistakes. Though this doesn’t occur often, there is little you can do but wait. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a couple of hours, you can potentially lose a good deal of money.
In addition, it is difficult to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t constantly check or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I clone pages using the HTML publishing option barring bandwidth, I also deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency in my applications, especially if it’s a business solution.
At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with : it is too easy, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that can be more economical upfront and give more control over managing specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the support , so at least you don’t need to commit to an expensive program straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say , and I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 per month. However, it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly good job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the full list of features.
But, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature which lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe that they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Table Rush
A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but unquestionably a one.
If you replicate a page and make changes to the copy, the split test basically lets you choose what percentages of the visitors you need to see per page, letting you examine conversion rates very handily. It is easy to use and a great function.
I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be easy to use, I believed the basic features were pretty great.
There are quite a few types of available pre-made funnels, oriented into different kinds of companies, and also you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Total Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to create managing an affiliate system easier and more efficient.
However, are products, or these features? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell an iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Complete Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here is the Complete list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You can watch the complete list of features, together with complete Package features, here. If you are in a position where you are able to manage to try Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, easy method of increasing sales, I don’t think you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can’t do without themfor most users, just StartUp will provide a thorough adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote attention to it. In reality, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is rather an array of templates with great layouts, though as you may expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel type, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You can also save certain templates and also create own page templates, and it is pretty simple to see them. It is possible to toggle with settings and open in the editor as you can see.
When your pages start from the editor, you be working with a drag and drop builder. It is a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting inside each other (this article has a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors segments, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the lively bits that also make your page interactive and go columns.
It may sound complicated, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box since it’s a section, however when I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is how grid-like it’s –you have to work within these columns and rows. I personally don’t believe this is a huge problem and the builder gives you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For example, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations easily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or just click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, simply click on the one. Clickfunnels Table Rush
The procedure for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you may need to look at your third party program’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process pretty straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple method of adding and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each of these integrations is fairly simple –as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations usually run and you don’t need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its ease of use–because their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is really important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I would say the learning curve could be only a few hours max. If you behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned in the review.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or payment processors will want a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it probably will not be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I would suggest all prospective users input with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will find the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a companies more than others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those offering B2B services would most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with people offering more creative products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for example, if you are a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be support too. The same goes for individuals selling content like courses or books.
Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller business, okay with the price tag, and you need to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a much better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which consists of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but sufficient. Their page includes a series of classes, each with their own articles. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it may be easy. Clickfunnels Table Rush
As after you log into for the immediate customer assistance, they have a chat feature inside the dashboard, but I’m not too pleased with it. They’ve generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t need that kind of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when attributes haven’t worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, client service representatives were supposedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. When he contacted customer service, he found they were apathetic and unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it might be a scenario that is unlikely.
Total Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think the team largely understand that their solutions are not perfectly easy to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they’ve put enough resources into their support to make it adequate. At least basic queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Maybe consumers, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
So, what’s the overarching verdict? It is fine! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you might want to check into third party choices you can tie If you want a more solution to your advertising needs with greater customization abilities. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone other advantages such as good templates, integrations that are solid, and the learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and reach higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty helpful for entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I am pretty sure that for the vast majority of users, the page builder offers choice. If you are looking to get an easy but powerful sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not reached its popularity on promises, and that I’m giving it 4/5 stars.
