What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell things online using differently complicated advertising technology, called sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played with email advertising for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets his fans rave that guide and about people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Suite

ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take months. But they soon realized their production would be helpful to other people and had great potential as a commodity.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes individuals who do not know you and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures designed to guide a website visitor to the checkout page.

There is a less dull method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking in to your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. You can talk your customers into buying something. In a store, you may be a little more distant from the customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer until people end up in a payment page.

If you think this sounds cool, you’re right–it has turned into a huge bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson did get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energy–to do what requires a whole lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money. They make it quite simple to make your account, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty simple to select everything up–it will probably take you a few hours to figure out most of what you need, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are very useful here. I enjoy how simple it is to replicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a fairly important attribute, and they’ve pulled it. It is an builder, As soon as you get used to it.

A/B analyzing

Constructed in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and choose the numbers of your traffic you wish to view variant A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to control.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a useful WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

Overall, it’s good to have things so concentrated: I can build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.

All this really does save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Worth

You may be sure that the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Suite

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have if they tried to handle funnels another manner.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s a number of areas that need work.

Overpriced?

A little drawback is the price. There are two alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your organization a huge drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you get a package for it.

Lackluster Client Service

Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with fundamental queries, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they won’t be quite beneficial.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder

This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but I take a slight issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype. They have a great advertising. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you can try to examine the purpose features of the software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.

This means you will end up buying online courses, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and articles consists of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they’re more focused on making quick money rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.

We know the creator is a marketing but so much of this item is tied to his brand and his philosophy. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it seems to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s difficult to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when a few elements of their merchandise (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels but more on the community. While you’ve got the ability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some errors. Though this doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a couple of hours, then you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.

In addition, it is difficult to know if your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always check or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I replicate pages using the HTML publishing option barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices alter, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.

I like consistency in my software if it is a business solution.

Too Simple

At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be more economical upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try out the service, in order you don’t have to commit to a costly plan straight away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).

Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say so, and that I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 a month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty good job. I personally consider it a good investment.

The principal differences between an entry level consideration and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.

But, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide tests, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature which lets you characterize a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and custom domain names; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Total Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to view the full official list here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe they’re solid and you get whatever you want. They’re largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Suite

A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a more compact feature a one.

If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the backup, the split test basically lets you select what percentages of the traffic you want to view per page, letting you test conversion rates very conveniently. It’s very easy to use and a great function.

I also think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for other settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to work with, I believed the fundamental features were fairly good.

There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of businesses, and also you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I will just have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complicated. The chief goal of Actionetics is smart analytics that lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate system easier and more effective.

However, are products that are different, or these features? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but maybe I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Full Suite a bit perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.

Here is the Complete list of all StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase webpages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per type

You may watch the full list of features, together with complete Suite attributes, here. If you are in a situation where you can afford to try out Etison for a little and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I do not believe you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive advantage that you can not do without themfor most users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote special attention to it. In reality, I feel a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely with this particular landing page builder.

Anyway, there’s quite an array of templates with good layouts, though as you can expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, therefore poking around is not too hard.

You might also save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it is pretty simple to see them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with settings.

When your pages open in the editor, you be working using a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.

The editor utilizes a page structure with four main components: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these components as fitting within every other (this article has a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: rows, columns, and components go inside of sections. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors sections, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you can have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the dynamic bits that also make your page interactive and go columns.

It may sound complicated, but it’s rather simple to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box because it is a part, however when I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.

You could even edit by section, row, column, etc, through the side bar. Parts of your page and all the little details can be altered or moved. The editor allows for lots of customization, but provides control . You can do a variety of things–cellular previews, edit colours, text, settings, and just about anything you expect. If you are handy with code, you may even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have ) about the builder is how grid-like it is–you need to work within these rows and columns. Personally, I don’t think this is a massive issue and the builder provides you enough control without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different kinds of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you may add to your integrations easily. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, simply click on the one you desire and insert it. Clickfunnels Suite

The process for handling integrations is also simple, though you may need to check your third party program’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few attributes, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of incorporating and managing integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be much of a store unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling all of these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations run smoothly and you don’t have to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main market is its ease of use–because their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, evaluating ease of usage is really important.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some experience.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I would say that the learning curve could be just a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the critique of Russell Brunson, if you’re actually behind.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of comprehension, but it is nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or visiting the docs centre.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely won’t be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites alternative and customizability with ease, and while I would indicate all prospective users enter with some simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience here) will get the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a companies.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and even those offering B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does nicely with people offering more ventures that are individual or innovative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for example, if you are a florist, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be support also. The same goes for people selling content such as courses or publications.

Of course, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I do not think you need to determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price , and you need to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who wants to keep a much better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is only for SaaS companies, but adequate. Their docs page includes a collection of classes. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it might be easy. Clickfunnels Suite

As for the immediate customer service, they have a feature within the dashboard once you log into, but I am not overly pleased with it. They have generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they required to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t need that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t offer that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Furthermore, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when features have not worked when there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, customer support reps were allegedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. He discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic, After he contacted customer service. It illustrates the point, although it may be a weird, unlikely scenario.

Total Support Rating

I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel the team understand that their services are not perfectly simple to use and/or involve tools new for their customers, and they’ve put enough resources into their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Most consumers, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a minimum which makes it at least great enough. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

Therefore, what’s the conclusion? It’s fine! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising program space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: Should you want a more hands-on solution to your marketing needs with customization skills, you might want to look. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages such as templates, integrations that are solid, and the short learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach higher conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be quite helpful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are significantly less. I’m pretty certain that for the majority of users, the webpage builder provides enough option. If you are looking first and foremost to get a simple but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity In the end, and that I am giving it 4/5 stars.
