What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complex marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not only from ClickFunnels, but advertising experiences. He played with email advertising for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets and the author of DotCom Secrets that his fans rave about and that guide people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website Clickfunnels Strategy

ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as developing funnels would normally take months. They had great potential as a product and soon realized their production would be helpful to others.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes individuals who do not know you personally and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a website visitor.

There’s a dull way of considering it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar store, that is like people walking in to your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. In a physical store, you can talk your customers. In a digital shop, you could be a bit more distant from your customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ . The funnel functions step-by-step, draw traffic in closer and closer until people wind up in a page.

If you think that sounds cool, you’re correct –it’s turned into a massive deal for internet marketing. Russell Brunson did become rich by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it as well.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to save time and energyto do what requires a lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Cash

Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning money for the consumer. They make it put your content up very easy to produce your accounts, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is pretty simple to pick up everything –it’ll likely take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are very useful here. I enjoy how easy it’s to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a pretty important attribute, and they’ve pulled it. It’s an builder, once you become accustomed to it.

A/B analyzing

Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of your visitors you wish to view version A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels pages. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.

All in one

In general, it is good to get things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.

All this really does save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Worth

You may be sure the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp account is really decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Strategy

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they would have if they attempted to manage funnels another way.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of places that require work.

A drawback is the cost. There are only two options, at $97 per month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your organization, a drawback, and like I have said, you get a fantastic package for it.

Lackluster Customer Service

Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic questions, but if you ask them more difficult things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be very beneficial.

Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Founder

This is not an objective criticism of the merchandise but I take a small problem with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a great advertising for certain. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you register for the applications, you may attempt to look at the objective features of the software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.

This means you will end up buying online courses, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and many articles consists of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more focused on earning quick cash instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of coaches and specialists, and other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.

We all know the creator is a marketing but so much of the item is tied to his philosophy and his brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it seems to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard to not get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few elements of the merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you have the ability to customize extensively within ClickFunnels, many people use similar layouts. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some errors. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, then you may potentially lose a lot of money.

It’s also difficult to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t always wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I replicate webpages using the HTML publishing option barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.

I enjoy consistency within my software, especially if it’s a business alternative.

Too Simple

Finally, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too pricey for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be more economical upfront and give more control over managing specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try out the support , so at least you do not need to commit to a costly program straight away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some might say so, and I could see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 a month. However, it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. I personally consider it a good investment.

The principal differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the full list of features.

But, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that lets you characterize a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domain names; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.

To outline the gaps, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to view the complete official list .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I think they’re strong and you get everything you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Strategy

A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a one.

If you replicate a webpage and make changes to the copy, the split test essentially lets you select what percentages of your visitors you want to see per page, letting you examine conversion rates very handily. It’s a function and quite easy to use.

In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for other settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be easy to use, I thought the fundamental features were fairly good.

There are quite a few kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of businesses, and you can of course build your own funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate system simpler and more efficient.

However, are products that are separate, or such features? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell a iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.

Here is the full list of all StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase pages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per form

You may watch the full list of features, along with complete Package attributes, here. If you are in a position where you can manage to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I do not think you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can’t do without themfor many users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote special attention. In fact, I feel a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely with this particular landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s quite a range of templates with good designs, though as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, therefore poking around is not too hard.

You can even save certain templates and create own page templates, and it’s pretty easy to see them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings that are fundamental and open in the editor.

You be working with a drag and drop builder once your pages start in the editor. It is a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it is still easy to use.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting within every other (this article includes a helpful diagram). Basically: elements, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you may have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive and go within columns.

It may sound complicated, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box since it is a section, but if I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.

You could edit section, row, column, etc, through the side bar. Parts of your webpage and all the little details can be altered or moved. The template editor allows for lots of customization, but provides control that is good . You can do all sorts of things–mobile previews, edit colors, text, settings, and nearly anything you anticipate. If you are handy with code, you may even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is how grid-like it is–you need to work within those columns and rows. I personally do not think this is a massive problem and the builder gives you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you may enhance your integrations. Here’s a full list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or just click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one you desire and add it. Clickfunnels Strategy

The process for handling integrations can also be straightforward, though you may have to check your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the process pretty simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple method of incorporating and handling integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be a lot of store unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing all of these integrations is fairly easy–as long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations operate and you do not have to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of usage –because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of usage is pretty important.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some expertise.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would say the learning curve could be just a few hours max. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned earlier in the review of Russell Brunson.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me like most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.

All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The center features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it is nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s stuff you can figure out by Googling about or seeing the docs center.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it probably won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all prospective users input with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience ) will find the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses over others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and those that offer B2B services would most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does products or individual ventures. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there could be great support also. The same holds for people selling content such as courses or publications.

Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price , and you have to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a much better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is still adequate, although only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page has a series of classes, each with their own posts. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be easy. Clickfunnels Strategy

As for the customer assistance that is direct, they’ve a chat feature within the dashboard after you log in, but I am not too pleased by it. They’ve generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In cases when attributes have not worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, client support representatives were supposedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, a number of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. When he contacted customer support, he found they were unhelpful and apathetic. It illustrates the point, although it may be a scenario that is improbable.

Total Support Rating

I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team understand that their services are not easy to use and/or involve tools new for their users, and they’ve put enough resources in their support to make it decent. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Most users, myself included, wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets. Within this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the overarching verdict? It’s fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising software area and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: Should you need a more solution to your advertising needs with customization abilities, you may want to check into third party options you’ll be able to connect together. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone positives such as templates, integrations that are strong, and the learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and reach higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite useful for entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I am pretty sure that for the huge majority of potential users, the webpage builder offers choice. If you’re looking first and foremost to get an sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. It hasn’t attained its popularity on promises, and that I am giving it 4/5 stars.
