What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complicated marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but marketing experiences. He played around with email marketing for a while, and started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two novels his lovers rave that direct and about people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website Clickfunnels Squarespace

ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would usually take weeks. But they had good potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be helpful to other people.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not understand you personally and turns them to customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a website visitor to the checkout page.

There’s a boring way of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call web traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn into clients. In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can speak your customers into purchasing something. In a shop, you may be a bit more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your clients’ . The funnel functions step-by-step, draw traffic in closer and closer until visitors end up in a payment page.

If you think that sounds cool, you’re correct –it’s become a huge deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did get wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to save time and energy–to do exactly what demands a lot of competence and/or an array of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making the user money. They make it quite simple to produce your accounts, put up your content, and begin taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty easy to select everything up–it will probably take you a few hours to find out most of what you need, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are very useful here. I enjoy how simple it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a fairly important feature, and they’ve pulled it. As soon as you become used to it, it’s an easy to use drag and drop builder.

A/B analyzing

Constructed in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is duplicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the numbers of your visitors that you wish to see variant A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels pages. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.

All in 1

Overall, it’s good to get things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.

All this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Worth

You may be sure that the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. In case you have over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Squarespace

ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they would have when they attempted to handle funnels another way.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few areas that need work.

A little drawback is the cost. There are two alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your organization a drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you get a fantastic package for this.

Lackluster Customer Support

Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with basic questions, but if you inquire more difficult things, particularly about more advanced features, they won’t be quite beneficial.

Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Creator

This is not an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a slight issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a great marketing for sure. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you register for the software, you can try to look at the purpose features of this software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.

This means you will find yourself buying online classes, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and articles is composed of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick money instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and experts, and other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.

Most of us know the founder is a marketing wizard, but much of this item is tied to his brand and his philosophy. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s hard to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some elements of the product (i.e., client service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you’ve got the ability to personalize extensively within ClickFunnels, many men and women use similar designs. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large amount of ClickFunnel-y seems floating about. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.

In addition, it is difficult to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t always wait or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I replicate webpages using the HTML publishing alternative, barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.

I enjoy consistency in my applications, particularly if it is a business solution.

Too Straightforward

Finally, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with : it’s too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which may be more economical upfront and give more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the support , in order you don’t need to commit to an expensive plan right away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).

Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some would say , and I can see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 a month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.

The main differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.

However, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that allows you characterize a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the following section of this ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official list .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Squarespace

A/B split testing is a feature, but unquestionably a one.

If you replicate a page and make changes to the backup, the split test basically lets you choose what percentages of the traffic you want to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It’s a great function and very simple to use.

I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the fundamental features were pretty good.

There are quite a few kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several kinds of companies, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I will only take a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my view, Full Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to create managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.

However, are these attributes, or products? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a bit perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.

Here’s the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per form

You may watch the complete list of features, along with complete Package features, here. If you’re in a situation where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a little and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I don’t think you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can’t do without them: for many users, just StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote special attention. In reality, I feel a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.

Anyway, there’s rather an array of templates with good layouts, however as you may expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around is not too hard.

You might also save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it’s rather easy to see them. It is possible to toggle with settings and open from the editor as you can see.

You be working using a drop and drag builder once your pages open in the editor. It’s a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.

The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four main parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Think of these parts as fitting inside each other (this informative article has a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and components go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors sections, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive to its customers and go within columns.

It may sound complex, but it’s rather simple to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it is a part, but when I was hovering over a component, it would be orange.

You could even edit by section, row, column, and so on, via the side bar. All of the details and parts of your page can be altered or moved. The editor allows for plenty of customization, but offers control that is good . You can do all sorts of things–mobile previews, edit colors, text, settings, and just about anything you anticipate. If you are handy with code, then you may even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A small criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have ) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within these rows and columns. Personally, I don’t think this is a massive problem and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few partners you may enhance your integrations. Here’s a full list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations segment, you can look for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, simply click the one. Clickfunnels Squarespace

The process for managing integrations is also simple, though you may have to look at your third party program’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very straightforward way of adding and managing integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be a lot of store unless you are using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling each these integrations is pretty easy–so long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re attempting to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations usually run smoothly and you do not have to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its simplicity of usage –as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is really important.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some experience.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I would say the learning curve would be only a few hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson if you’re really behind.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.

All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of comprehension, but it is nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can determine by Googling around or visiting the docs centre.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it likely will not be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all potential users enter with a few simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will get the most use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to some businesses.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and those that offer B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there could be support too. The same holds for people selling content such as courses or books.

Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller company, okay with the price , and you have to make your traffic work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is still sufficient, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page has a collection of categories, each with their own articles. It might be easy, but it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Squarespace

As once you log in for the customer assistance that is direct, they have a chat feature within the dashboard, but I’m not too delighted by it. They have generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more advanced questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing query, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t offer that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when features haven’t worked when there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer service representatives were supposedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. After he contacted customer support, he discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic. It might be a scenario, but it illustrates the point.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel that the team understand that their solutions are not absolutely simple to use and/or involve tools new to their users, and they have put resources in their support to make it decent. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Maybe most users, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is fine! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising software area and worth trying out.

Yeah, a few drawbacks are: If you need a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with customization abilities that are greater, you might want to check into third party options you can connect. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone additional positives such as strong integrations, the learning curve, and templates.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain higher conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be pretty useful for significantly less internet-exposed entrepreneurs. I am pretty sure that for the vast majority of prospective users, enough choice is offered by the page builder. If you are looking for a simple but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On empty promises, it has not reached its popularity In the end, and that’s why I’m giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
