ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complicated advertising technologies, called sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his invention, and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but marketing experiences. He played with email marketing for some time, and began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets and the author of DotCom Secrets that his fans rave about and that direct people through his marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Special Offer
ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his team create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would normally take months. However, they had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be helpful to others.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not understand you and turns them to customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures designed to direct a web site visitor.
There’s a way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call internet traffic or site traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. In a physical store, you can speak your clients into buying something. In a shop that is digital, you may be a bit more distant from the customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your customers’ through principles of psychology. The funnel functions incremental, bring traffic in closer and closer until visitors wind up at a payment page.
If you feel that sounds cool, you are correct –it has turned into a massive bargain for online marketing. Russell Brunson did get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energyto do what demands a lot of technological proficiency and/or an array of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning money. They make it simple to produce your accounts, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty simple to select everything up–it’ll probably take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I enjoy how simple it is to replicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a fairly important feature, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. As soon as you become accustomed to it, it’s an builder.
Constructed in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the numbers of your visitors that you wish to see version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.
You’ll also find a WordPress plugin that allows you insert ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
Overall, it’s good to get things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All of this really does save time and money, resources you would otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp account is really decent. If you have more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Special Offer
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packaging great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have when they attempted to manage funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few areas that require work.
A little drawback is the price. There are two options, at $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your organization a massive drawback, and like I have mentioned, you get a package for this.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with basic queries, but if you inquire more difficult things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be very beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of the product but I take a slight issue with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a fantastic marketing. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. When you sign up for the software, you can try to look at the objective features of the software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.
This usually means you will find yourself buying online courses, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and many articles is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy online marketer stuff.
Most of us know the creator is a marketing magician, but much of the product is tied to his own brand and his doctrine. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it seems like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s difficult not to get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some aspects of their product (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more on the community. As you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, many people use designs. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great amount of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some mistakes. Though this doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or forcing traffic to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a lot of money.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are working or not, if you don’t constantly check or wait until you hear from angry customers. Barring uptime, I deal with some glitches when I replicate webpages using the HTML printing alternative.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etcand it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency within my software if it’s a business solution.
At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with : it’s too easy, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which may be more economical upfront and give more control over managing specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test the support , so at least you do not have to commit to an expensive plan right away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say , and I can see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 per month. However, it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty good job. I consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature that allows you describe a product as a one-time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the following section of this ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp essentially conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to watch the full official list here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe that they’re strong and you get whatever you want. They’re largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Special Offer
A/B split testing is a feature, but unquestionably a notable one.
If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the backup, the divide test essentially lets you choose what percentages of your visitors that you need to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a fantastic function and very easy to use.
In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for other settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to use, I believed the fundamental features were fairly good.
There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into different kinds of businesses, and also you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The chief objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.
However, are these attributes, or different products? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here is the full list of all StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels

- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members

You may view the complete list of features, together with complete Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you can afford to try Etison for a little and you absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I do not think you would find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive advantage that you can’t do without them: for many users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote exclusive attention to it. In fact, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s quite a range of templates with great layouts, however as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around is not too hard.
You might also save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it’s rather simple to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are basic and open from the editor.
You be working using a drop and drag builder When your pages open from the editor. It’s a bit more complex than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four main components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these components as fitting within every other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and components go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive and go within columns.
It may sound complicated, but it is pretty easy to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it’s a part, but when I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A small criticism I’ve heard (but do not have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within these columns and rows. Personally, I do not believe this is a massive issue and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of instance, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations easily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, simply click the one you want and insert it. Clickfunnels Special Offer
The procedure for handling integrations can also be simple, though you may need to check your third party software’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the procedure simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple method of adding and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a store unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all these integrations is pretty easy–so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are attempting to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally run smoothly and you do not have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main market is its ease of usage –as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, evaluating ease of use is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I’d say the learning curve could be only a few hours max. If you’re actually behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned earlier in the review.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most questions must be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it probably will not be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all prospective users input with some simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience here) will get the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to some businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and those offering B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with those offering more ventures that are independent or creative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these businesses: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there could be great support too. The same holds for individuals selling content like publications or classes.
Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, okay with the price , and you have to produce your visitors work for you , I doubt you would be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place that consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is still adequate, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their page includes a series of categories. It may be easy, but it isn’t too shabby. Clickfunnels Special Offer
As for the customer assistance, they have a feature within the dashboard once you log in, but I am not overly delighted with it. They’ve generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more advanced questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that kind of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when features haven’t worked as promised or when there were site malfunctions, customer service representatives were supposedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. After he contacted customer service, he found they were apathetic and unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it might be a situation.
Overall Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team largely understand that their services are not easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their customers, and they have put enough resources into their support to make it decent. At least queries will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Maybe most consumers, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it mostly meets. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching conclusion? It’s fine! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you may want to look If you want a more hands-on answer to your advertising needs with greater customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone other advantages like solid integrations, the learning curve, and superior templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be helpful for entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I am pretty sure that for the huge majority of users, the page builder offers option. If you’re looking first and foremost to get an easy but powerful sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not reached its popularity after all, and that is why I’m giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
