ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell things online using otherwise complicated advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not only from ClickFunnels, but other advertising experiences. He played with email marketing for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets, two books and the author of DotCom Secrets his fans rave about and that guide people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Clickfunnels Sign Up
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would normally take months. However, they had good potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be helpful to other people.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who don’t understand you personally and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps developed to direct a web site visitor.
There’s a less boring way of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call internet traffic or site visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors still doesn’t turn into clients. In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking in to your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can talk your clients. In a digital store, you could be a bit more distant from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer till visitors wind up at a payment page.
If you think this sounds cool, you are right–it’s become a huge bargain for advertising. Russell Brunson didn’t only get rich by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energy–to do what demands a lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning the user money. They make it put your content up simple to produce your account, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty easy to select everything up–it’ll likely take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it is to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature that is pretty important, and they’ve pulled it. As soon as you become accustomed to it, it’s an builder.
Built in A/B testing is great too. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and choose the amounts of the visitors you wish to view version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to manage.
You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels pages. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
In general, it is great to get things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise need to spend on developers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You may be sure the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp account is pretty decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Sign Up
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they would have if they attempted to manage funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s quite a few areas that need work.
A drawback is the price. There are only two pricing options, at either $97 a month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a huge drawback another investment in your business, and like I have mentioned, you receive a package for it.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic questions, but if you inquire harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they won’t be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but I take a small problem with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They have a marketing. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you register for the software, you can try to examine the objective features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This usually means you will end up buying online classes, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and most posts consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they’re more focused on earning quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.
Most of us know the creator is a marketing but much of the product is tied into his philosophy and his own brand. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few elements of the merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. While you’ve got the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use similar layouts. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some mistakes or will return. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a good deal of money.
In addition, it is difficult to know if your pages are working or not, unless you always wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I clone pages using the HTML printing alternative, barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I like consistency within my software, especially if it’s a business solution.
At length, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with : it is too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that may be more economical upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try out the service, in order you do not have to commit to an expensive plan right away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and that I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. However, it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a fairly great job. I consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that lets you characterize a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domain names; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to view the complete official list here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re solid and you get whatever you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are good examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Sign Up
A/B split testing is definitely, although a more compact feature a one.
If you duplicate a page and make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially enables you to select what percentages of the visitors you want to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It’s simple to use and a function.
I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the fundamental features were fairly good.
There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to different types of businesses, and you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Total Suite is just three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complex. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to create managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.
However, are these features, or products? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per form
You can view the complete list of features, along with Full Package features, here. If you are in a position where you can afford to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I don’t think you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can not do without themfor most users, simply StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wished to devote attention. In fact, I feel a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely for this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s quite a range of templates with great layouts, though as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You might even save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it’s pretty easy to see them. As you can see, you open from the editor and can toggle with basic settings.
You be working using a drag and drop builder once your pages open from the editor. It’s a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor uses a page structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and components. Consider these parts as fitting inside every other (this informative article includes a very helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the lively bits that also make your page interactive and go columns.
It might sound complex, but it’s pretty simple to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it’s a section, but when I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have ) on the builder is how grid-like it’s –you have to work within these rows and columns. I personally don’t believe this is a massive problem and the builder gives you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I like the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct types of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you can add to your integrations easily. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one you want and add it. Clickfunnels Sign Up
The procedure for managing integrations is also simple, though you might need to check your third party software’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the process pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple method of adding and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all of these integrations is pretty easy–as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re attempting to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations usually run and you do not have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its simplicity of use–as their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the situation, assessing ease of use is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say the learning curve could be just a few hours max. If you are actually behind, pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it appears to me like most questions must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can figure out by Googling around or visiting the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it likely won’t be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I would suggest all prospective users input with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will find the most use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those that offer B2B services would probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these industries: for example, if you are a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there could be good support also. The same holds for people selling content like books or classes.
Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you have to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who wants to maintain a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is nevertheless adequate, although just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their page has a series of categories, each with their own posts. It may be easy, but it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Sign Up
As for the customer assistance that is direct, they have a chat feature within the dashboard after you log into, but I am not too pleased by it. They’ve been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more advanced questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing query, they required three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that kind of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t provide that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In instances when attributes have not worked as promised or when there were site malfunctions, client service representatives were allegedly either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, a number of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. When he contacted customer support, he found they were unhelpful and apathetic. It illustrates the point, although it might be a scenario.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team largely understand that their solutions are not absolutely easy to use and/or demand tools new for their users, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it decent. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Most consumers wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it mostly meets a bare minimum that makes it at least great. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching verdict? It’s fine! It is a legitimate competitor in the marketing software space and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you might want to check into third party choices you can tie, Should you need a more hands-on answer to your marketing needs with higher customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the program. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let other advantages like good templates, integrations that are strong, and the short learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty useful for significantly less internet-exposed entrepreneurs. I am pretty certain that for the majority of prospective users, enough choice is offered by the webpage builder. If you are looking first and foremost for an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity In the end, and that I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
