ClickFunnels has made a fairly big name for itself since it started, getting one of the most significant marketing SaaS (Software as a Service) companies around. I suppose it is no surprise–ClickFunnels is about earning its users cash. More specifically, it’s about giving software which helps their own site visitors turn into clients to companies. It is no wonder ClickFunnels has grown in such a brief period of time.
There is but does this mean it is well worth it? Just how much can we trust the crowd? During this ClickFunnels review, I’ll go through the gist of ClickFunnels–what it really is, the positives and the pitfalls, the features, customer service, and so forth. I’m basing this review on my experience using ClickFunnels’ StartUp program, which comes with the core ClickFunnels attributes and plenty of other bells and whistles. I will also give a nod towards other reviews I’ve seen, as not every user will concur with me.
Regardless of whether you choose to use it or not, it is an important player anybody in e-commerce and internet advertising should be familiar with. Before you leap in, what is our evaluation? ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complicated marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not just from ClickFunnels, but other advertising experiences. He played with email marketing for a while, and started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Secrets that his fans rave that direct and about people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Clickfunnels Shopify Integration
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take weeks. But they had good potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be useful to other people.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes people who do not understand you personally and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures developed to guide a website visitor to the checkout page.
There’s a less boring way of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. At a store, you can speak your customers into purchasing something. In a store that is digital, you could be a little more remote from your customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel works step-by-step, draw visitors in closer and closer until visitors end up at a payment page.
You’re correct if you feel this sounds cool –it’s become a huge deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did not only get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save you time and energyto do exactly what otherwise requires a lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money for the consumer. They make it put up your content, quite easy to make your account, and begin taking payments. Plus, it’s rather easy to pick up everything –it’ll probably take you a couple hours to figure out most of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I like how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a pretty important attribute, and they’ve pulled it off well. It’s an easy to use drag and drop builder, As soon as you become used to it.
Built in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of your visitors you want to see variant A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations well. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.
You will also find a WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
Overall, it is good to get things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to spend on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You can be sure that the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Shopify Integration
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they’d have if they attempted to manage funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few areas that require work.
A drawback is the cost. There are two alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t another investment in your organization a drawback, and like I have mentioned, you receive a good package for this.
Lackluster Client Support
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental questions, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they won’t be very beneficial.
Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a small issue with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They have a marketing. But from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. Once you register for the software, you may attempt to look at the objective features of the software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and made to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This means you’ll end up purchasing online classes, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and posts is composed of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they created. Though these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more focused on making quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and specialists, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.
So much of the item is tied to his brand and his philosophy, although Most of us know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when a few elements of their product (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. While you have the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use similar designs. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will go down. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, you may potentially lose a good deal of money.
It’s also hard to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. Barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches when I replicate webpages using the HTML publishing alternative.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency in my software if it’s a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with : it is too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be cheaper upfront and give more control over managing specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try out the support , so at least you don’t need to commit to an expensive plan right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say , and that I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 a month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly good job. I consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the full list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality which lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp basically carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can watch the full official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I think that they’re solid and you get whatever you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Shopify Integration
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but definitely a one.
If you replicate a page and make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you select what percentages of the traffic that you need to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It’s very easy to use and a fantastic function.
In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be easy to work with, I thought the fundamental features were fairly great.
There are a number of kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several types of businesses, and also you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will just take a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is just three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complex. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to create managing an affiliate system simpler and more efficient.
But are separate products, or such attributes? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I’m just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per form
You may watch the full list of features, along with Full Suite features, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to manage to try Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I do not believe you would find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote special attention to it. In reality, I feel a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it turned into a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is rather a range of templates with good designs, however as you can expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You might also save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it is pretty simple to find them. As you can see, you open from the editor and can toggle with settings.
When your pages start in the editor, you be working using a drop and drag builder. It’s a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these parts as fitting inside each other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and components go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you may have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the bits that go columns and make your page interactive.
It might sound complicated, but it’s rather simple to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box because it’s a part, however when I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I do not think this is a huge problem and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
Overall, I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you can add to your integrations readily. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can look for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one. Clickfunnels Shopify Integration
The procedure for handling integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to check your third party program’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the procedure simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple way of adding and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all of these integrations is pretty easy–as long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations usually operate smoothly and you do not have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main market is its simplicity of usage –as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, assessing ease of usage is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve could be just a couple hours maximum. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me like most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will require a little bit of comprehension, but it is nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can determine by Googling around or seeing the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it probably will not be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I would suggest all prospective users enter with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience ) will get the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a businesses over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those that offer B2B services will probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with those offering more ventures that are independent or products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you are a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there would be great support also. The same goes for individuals selling content such as books or courses.
Of course, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I do not believe you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price , and you need to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to maintain a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but nevertheless adequate. Their docs page has a series of classes, each with their own posts. It might be easy, but it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Shopify Integration
As for the customer assistance, they have a chat feature within the dashboard after you log in, but I am not pleased with it. They’ve generally been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more advanced questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing query, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in instances when attributes haven’t worked when there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, customer support reps were allegedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. When he contacted customer support, he found that they were apathetic and unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it might be a scenario.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team largely understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they’ve put enough resources in their support to make it decent. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Most consumers, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it largely meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
So, what’s the verdict that is overarching? It’s fine! It is a legitimate competitor in the marketing program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: Should you need a more hands-on solution to your marketing needs with customization abilities that are greater, you might want to look into third party choices you can connect. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let other positives such as templates that are good integrations, and the learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be helpful for internet-exposed entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I’m pretty sure that for the majority of potential users, enough choice is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking for an easy but solid sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity In the end, and that’s why I’m giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
