What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell things online using otherwise complex advertising technologies, called sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played around with email advertising for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets that his lovers rave that direct and about people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Scripts
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his team produce funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as developing funnels would normally take months. However, they had good potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be useful to other people.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes people who don’t know you and turns them into clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to guide a website visitor.
There’s a less dull method of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn many of your visitors into clients. In a physical store, that’s like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. At a physical store, you can speak your customers into buying something. In a shop, you could be a bit more remote from the customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works step-by-step, bring visitors in closer and closer till people wind up at a page.
You’re correct, if you feel that sounds cool –it’s turned into a massive deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to save time and energy–to do exactly what otherwise demands a lot of competence and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money for the user. They make it simple to make your accounts, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Plus, it’s rather easy to pick up everything –it’ll probably take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I enjoy how simple it is to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a fairly important attribute, and they have pulled it off nicely. As soon as you become used to it, it is an builder.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of the traffic you want to see version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.
You will also find a WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
In general, it is good to have things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is really decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Scripts
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they’d have when they tried to manage funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s a number of areas that need work.
A little drawback is the cost. There are only two pricing options, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t like I’ve said another investment in your organization, and a huge drawback, you get a package for this.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental questions, but if you ask them more difficult things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of their merchandise but I take a small issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a fantastic advertising. But from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you sign up for the software, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This means you’ll end up purchasing online classes, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and posts consists of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sport cars. Though these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more concentrated on making quick money rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, and other spammy online marketer stuff.
We all know the creator is a marketing but much of the item is tied into his own brand and his doctrine. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when some aspects of the merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more on the neighborhood. While you have the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, many people use similar layouts. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some mistakes or will return. Though this doesn’t occur often, there is little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or forcing traffic to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a few hours, you may potentially lose a lot of money.
In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. Barring bandwidth, I also deal with a few glitches when I clone pages using the HTML printing option.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.
I like consistency within my software if it’s a business alternative.
Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with : it’s too simple, and too pricey for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that can be more economical upfront and give more control over handling certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try the support , in order you don’t need to commit to an expensive program straight away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some would say , and I can see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. But it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly great job. I personally consider it a good investment.
The main differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the full list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that lets you describe a product as a one time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Package, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to view the complete official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think that they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Scripts
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but definitely a noteworthy one.
If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the backup, the divide test essentially lets you choose what percentages of your traffic that you need to view per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It is quite easy to use and a function.
I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the basic features were pretty great.
There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented into different types of businesses, and also you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will only take a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.
However, are products, or these features? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Complete Suite a little perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here is the full list of StartUp features

You can watch the full list of features, along with Full Package features, here. If you are in a situation where you can afford to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely require an efficient, simple way of increasing earnings, I don’t think you would wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote special attention to it. In reality, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it turned into a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is quite a range of templates with great layouts, however as you can expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You can also save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it is pretty simple to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are basic and open from the editor.
When you start your pages you’ll basically be working with a drag and drop builder. It is a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these components as fitting within every other (this article has a helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors segments, but columns especially enter rows. This way you may have around four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that go columns and make your page interactive to its customers.
It may sound complex, but it’s rather easy to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box since it is a part, but when I had been hovering over a component, it could be orange.
A small criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within those rows and columns. I personally don’t believe this is a huge problem and the builder gives you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you can enhance your integrations. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or just click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one you desire and add it. Clickfunnels Scripts
The procedure for managing integrations can also be simple, though you may need to check your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the process pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few attributes, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple method of incorporating and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be a lot of shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each these integrations is pretty simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate and you don’t need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its ease of usage –because their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of usage is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve would be just a few hours maximum. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned earlier in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it seems to me like most questions should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it’s stuff you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably will not be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I’d indicate all potential users enter with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will find the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and those offering B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with those offering more ventures or products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these industries: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good method of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there would be good support also. The same holds for individuals selling content such as books or classes.
Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only on their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you need to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a much better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area that is composed of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is adequate, although just for SaaS companies. Their page has a collection of classes, each with their own posts. It may be simple, however it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Scripts
As for the customer assistance that is direct, they have a feature within the dashboard once you log into, but I am not too delighted by it. They have generally been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they required three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. Notably, in instances when attributes haven’t worked as promised or if there were weird site malfunctions, client service representatives were supposedly either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic After he contacted customer support. It might be a improbable scenario, however it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I would not state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think that the team understand that their solutions are not absolutely simple to use and/or demand tools new for their customers, and they have put enough resources in their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Perhaps most consumers would not say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets a bare minimum which makes it at least great. Within this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the verdict that is overarching? It is fine! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: you might want to look, Should you want a more solution to your advertising needs with higher customization abilities. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or some glitches in the program. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages like strong integrations, the brief learning curve, and good templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be useful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I’m pretty sure that for the majority of users, the page builder offers option. If you are looking first and foremost for an easy but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On empty promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that I’m giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
