ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played with email advertising for some time, and started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets and the author of DotCom Secrets that his fans rave about and that guide people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Payment Gateway
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. They had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be helpful to others.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not know you personally and turns them into clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures developed to guide a website visitor.
There is a dull method of considering it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you call web traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn many of your visitors . In a brick and mortar store, that is like people walking in to your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the store without purchasing anything. You can speak your clients. In a shop that is digital, you could be a bit more remote from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your customers’ . The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer till people end up at a payment page.
You are right, if you think that sounds cool –it’s turned into a huge bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson did not just get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to save time and energyto do what otherwise requires a whole lot of technological proficiency and/or a range of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making your user money. They make it easy to make your accounts, put your content up, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty simple to select up everything –it’ll probably take you a couple hours to find out a lot of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I enjoy how simple it is to duplicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a attribute that is pretty important, and they’ve pulled it. It is an builder As soon as you become used to it.
Built in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and choose the amounts of the visitors you wish to view version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to control.
You will also find a handy WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
In general, it’s good to get things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Payment Gateway
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have when they tried to manage funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few places that require work.
A drawback is the cost. There are two pricing options, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a drawback, another investment in your business, and like I have mentioned, you receive a fantastic package for it.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic queries, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but I take a small problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a fantastic marketing. But from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you sign up for the applications, you can try to look at the objective features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and made to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This usually means you will end up purchasing online classes, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and many articles is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick cash instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of trainers and experts, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.
We all know the founder is a marketing but much of the item is tied into his philosophy and his brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an extension of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s hard to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some aspects of their product (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more about the community. As you have the capability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, many people use designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems floating about. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or experience some errors. Though this doesn’t happen frequently, there is little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.
It’s also difficult to know if your pages are functioning or not, unless you always check or wait until you hear from angry clients. Barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches when I replicate webpages using the HTML publishing alternative.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency within my applications, especially if it is a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with : it’s too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that can be more economical upfront and give more control over handling certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use package of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try out the support , in order you don’t have to commit to an expensive plan right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and that I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 a month. However, it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly good job. I personally consider it a good investment.
The main differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.
But, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I think they’re solid and you get everything you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Payment Gateway
A/B split testing is definitely, although a smaller feature a noteworthy one.
If you replicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the divide test essentially lets you select what percentages of the traffic that you need to view per page, allowing you test conversion rates very conveniently. It’s quite simple to use and a great function.
I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the fundamental features were fairly great.
There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of businesses, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is just three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate system easier and more effective.
However, are separate products, or such attributes? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a bit perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You can view the complete list of features, together with complete Package features, here. If you are in a situation where you can afford to try Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I do not believe you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive advantage that you can’t do without them: for many users, simply StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ most important attribute, so I wished to devote special attention. In reality, I think a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it being a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s quite a range of templates with good layouts, however as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, so poking around is not too hard.
You can also save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it is pretty easy to find them. You can toggle with basic settings and open in the editor as you can see.
You’ll essentially be working with a drop and drag builder once your pages start from the editor. It is a bit more complicated than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four main components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Consider these parts as fitting within each other (this article includes a helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and components go inside of sections. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have a row with a single column, or up to four. Elements are the dynamic bits that also make your page interactive and go inside columns.
It may sound complex, but it is pretty simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box since it’s a part, however if I was hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is how grid-like it is–you need to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I don’t think this is a massive issue and the builder gives you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can look for these or just click on the search bar, and they will come up. It, simply click on the one. Clickfunnels Payment Gateway
The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you may need to check your third party program’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the process simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very straightforward way of adding and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part separate from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be much of a store unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all of these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations normally operate and you don’t have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of use–as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that allow the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would say the learning curve would be just a few hours maximum. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it seems to me as if most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will require a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or visiting the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it probably will not be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all prospective users enter with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience ) will get the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to some companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and those offering B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with people offering more individual ventures or creative products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you are a florist, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good method of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there could be good support too. The same holds for people selling content such as courses or books.
Of course, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller business, okay with the price tag, and you need to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place which is composed of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but nevertheless adequate. Their docs page has a collection of classes, each with their own posts. It might be easy, however content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Payment Gateway
As the customer service, they have a feature inside the dashboard after you log in for, but I’m not too delighted by it. They have generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they required to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t need that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in cases when attributes haven’t worked if there were site malfunctions or as promised, client service reps were supposedly either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, some of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. When he contacted customer service, he discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic. It might be a weird, improbable situation, but it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I would not state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel that the team largely understand that their services are not absolutely simple to use and/or demand tools fresh to their customers, and they have put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least basic questions will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Most users, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it largely meets. In this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: Should you need a more hands-on solution to your marketing needs with customization skills that are higher, you might want to check. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let other positives like templates that are superior , solid integrations, and the learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and reach conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty helpful for significantly less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty sure that for the majority of users, the webpage builder offers enough choice. If you’re looking to get an sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that is why I’m giving it 4/5 stars.
