What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only 3 years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell things online using otherwise complicated advertising technology, called sales funnels (more on those in a second).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played around with email marketing for a while, and started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Secrets that his lovers rave that guide and about people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Path

ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. However, they soon realized their creation would be helpful to others and had good potential as a product.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes people who don’t understand you and turns them to customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures designed to guide a web site visitor.

There’s a method of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or site visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. You can speak your clients into buying something. In a store, you could be a little more distant from the visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer until people end up at a payment page.

If you feel this sounds cool, you’re correct –it has turned into a huge bargain for online marketing. Russell Brunson did not only become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to save time and energyto do exactly what otherwise demands a lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money for your consumer. They make it put your content up, easy to make your accounts, and start taking payments. Plus, it is rather easy to pick up everything –it’ll probably take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you require, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are very useful here. I enjoy how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a feature, and they’ve pulled it off well. It’s an builder, As soon as you get used to it.

A/B testing

Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the numbers of the visitors that you wish to see variant A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to control.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a WordPress plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels pages. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

Overall, it is great to get things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.

All of this really does save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to spend on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Value

You may rest assured the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp account is really decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Path

ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they would have if they attempted to manage funnels another manner.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few places that require work.

A little drawback is the price. There are just two alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not like I have said , just another investment in your organization, and a drawback, you get a fantastic package for this.

Lackluster Client Support

Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic questions, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more innovative features, they will not be very helpful.

Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Creator

This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but I take a slight issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a marketing for certain. However, from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you can try to look at the purpose features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.

This usually means you’ll end up buying online courses, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and many articles is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they made. Although these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more focused on making quick cash rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.

We know the creator is a marketing but so much of this item is tied to his philosophy and his own brand. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when a few elements of their merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. While you’ve got the ability to personalize extensively within ClickFunnels, many people use similar designs. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some errors or will go down. Though this doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a lot of money.

In addition, it is difficult to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t constantly check or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I clone webpages using the HTML printing alternative barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices change, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.

I like consistency within my applications if it is a business solution.

Too Simple

At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with : it’s too easy, and too pricey because of its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches which can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the service, so at least you don’t need to commit to an expensive program straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).

Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say , and that I could see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 a month. But it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.

The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the complete list of features.

However, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature that lets you describe a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Full Suite, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to view the full official list .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re solid and you get whatever you want. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Path

A/B split testing is definitely, although a feature a one.

If you duplicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the split test basically lets you choose what percentages of your traffic that you want to view per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It is a fantastic function and quite easy to use.

In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to use, I thought the fundamental features were fairly good.

There are a number of kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different types of businesses, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I have a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is just three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics that lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.

But are products that are separate, or these features? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but perhaps I am just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.

Here’s the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per type

You may view the full list of features, together with complete Suite features, here. If you’re in a situation where you are able to manage to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I do not believe you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can’t do without themfor many users, simply StartUp will provide a thorough adequate package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote attention to it. In reality, I think a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s quite an array of templates with great designs, however as you may expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, so poking around is not too hard.

You can even save certain templates and also make personal page templates, and it is pretty easy to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are basic and open from the editor.

You be working using a drag and drop builder once your pages start in the editor. It is a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.

The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these components as fitting inside every other (this informative article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: rows, columns, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns move inside segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you may have a row with a single column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that go within columns and make your page interactive to its visitors.

It may sound complex, but it is pretty simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box since it’s a part, however when I had been hovering over a component, it could be orange.

You can edit by section, row, column, and so on, via the side bar. All the little details and parts of your webpage can be moved or altered. The editor allows for lots of customization, but provides control . You can do a variety of things–mobile previews, edit colours, text, settings, and nearly anything you anticipate. If you are handy with code, you may even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) about the builder is how grid-like it’s –you need to work within these rows and columns. I personally don’t think this is a massive problem and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different types of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For instance, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you can add to your integrations readily. Here’s a Complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one. Clickfunnels Path

The procedure for managing integrations is also simple, though you may need to check your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the process pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very straightforward way of incorporating and managing integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing each these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations usually operate and you do not need to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of usage –because their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save money and time. That being the situation, assessing ease of use is really important.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some expertise.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve could be only a couple hours max. Pick up the books mentioned earlier in the critique of Russell Brunson if you behind.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me like most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.

All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of comprehension, but it is nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it’s stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it probably will not be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It unites choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all potential users input with a few simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience here) will find the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and those offering B2B services will probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does independent ventures or creative products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything there could be great support also. The same goes for people selling content such as courses or publications.

Of course, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I do not think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price tag, and you have to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area that consists of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is just for SaaS companies, but adequate. Their page includes a collection of classes, each with their own posts. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it may be easy. Clickfunnels Path

As once you log into for the customer assistance that is direct, they’ve a feature inside the dashboard, but I’m not overly pleased by it. They have been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more advanced questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they required three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in instances when features haven’t worked when there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer service reps were supposedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. When he contacted customer service, he found they were unhelpful and apathetic. It illustrates the point, although it might be a weird, improbable situation.

Total Support Rating

I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel that the team understand that their solutions are not perfectly easy to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they’ve put enough resources into their support to make it adequate. At least basic queries will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Most users wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

So, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising software area and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: you might want to check into third party options you can connect, If you want a more answer to your marketing needs with higher customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or any glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let additional advantages like solid integrations, the short learning curve, and good templates.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite useful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are significantly less. I’m pretty certain that for the huge majority of prospective users, enough option is offered by the page builder. If you are looking to get an sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. After all, it hasn’t attained its popularity on promises, and that I’m giving it 4/5 stars.
