What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market things online using otherwise complex advertising technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his creation, and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played around with email advertising for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets and the author of DotCom Secrets his lovers rave about and that direct people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Clickfunnels Order Form
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his team produce funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They had great potential as a product and soon realized their production would be useful to other people.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes people who don’t understand you and turns them into clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures designed to guide a web site visitor into the checkout page.
There’s a dull way of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone internet traffic or site traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn . In a physical store, that is like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the store without buying anything. At a physical store, you can speak your customers into purchasing something. In a store, you may be a bit more distant from your customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your customers’ . The funnel works step-by-step, bring visitors in closer and closer till people end up in a page.
You’re correct if you think that sounds cool –it has turned into a massive deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energyto do exactly what otherwise requires a whole lot of proficiency and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money. They make it simple to make your accounts, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it is pretty simple to select up everything –it’ll likely take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I like how easy it is to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a fairly important feature, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It is an builder As soon as you get used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is duplicate a webpage, make your changes, and pick the amounts of your traffic that you wish to see version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to manage.
You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin that allows you add ClickFunnels pages. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
In general, it is great to get things so concentrated: I will build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You may be sure the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. In case you have more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Order Form
ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have if they attempted to handle funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s a number of areas that require work.
A little drawback is the price. There are just two pricing options, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your organization a massive drawback, and like I have mentioned, you get a fantastic package for this.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental queries, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they won’t be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of the product but that I take a small problem with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a marketing for certain. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you can try to examine the purpose features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This means you’ll find yourself buying online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and many articles consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sport cars. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they are more concentrated on making quick cash instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.
Much of this product is tied into his philosophy and his brand, although Most of us know the founder is a marketing wizard. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some aspects of their merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you’ve got the ability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many people use designs. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some errors. Though this doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a good deal of cash.
In addition, it is hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. Barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches when I replicate webpages using the HTML printing alternative.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency in my applications if it is a business alternative.
Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be more economical upfront and give more control over managing certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the service, so at least you do not have to commit to an expensive plan straight away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say , and I can see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 per month. However, it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly great job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the complete list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality which lets you describe a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the complete official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think they’re strong and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Order Form
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but definitely a noteworthy one.
If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the split test essentially lets you select what percentages of your visitors you want to view per page, letting you test conversion rates very conveniently. It is a fantastic function and simple to use.
I also think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be easy to use, I thought the basic features were pretty great.
There are quite a few types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of companies, and you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I’ll just take a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Full Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to create managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.
However, are products that are separate, or these attributes? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You can watch the complete list of features, along with complete Package features, here. If you’re in a situation where you can afford to try out Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple way of increasing sales, I do not believe you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for many users, just StartUp will provide a thorough adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote exclusive attention. In fact, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s quite a range of templates with great designs, however as you may expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You can also save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it is pretty simple to see them. As you can see, you open from the editor and can toggle with settings.
When your pages open from the editor, you be working with a drop and drag builder. It’s a bit more complicated than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four main components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting inside each other (this informative article has a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: elements, columns, and rows go inside of sections. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns move inside sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive and go columns.
It might sound complex, but it’s pretty simple to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it’s a part, but if I was hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A small criticism I have heard (but do not have ) about the builder is how grid-like it’s –you have to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I do not think this is a massive problem and the builder gives you enough control without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other advertising and marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct kinds of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations readily. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one you desire and insert it. Clickfunnels Order Form
The process for managing integrations is also simple, though you might have to check your third party program’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few features, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section separate from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each of these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations operate and you don’t have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of use–as their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that allow the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, evaluating ease of usage is really significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve could be just a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned earlier in the review of Russell Brunson, if you are actually behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it appears to me like most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or payment processors will require a little bit of comprehension, but it is nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it’s things you can figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely won’t be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all potential users input with a few basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience here) will find the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a companies over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and those that offer B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with people offering more creative products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you are a florist, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything around yourself and your brand, there could be support too. The same goes for people selling content such as classes or books.
Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price tag, and you need to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who wants to maintain a much better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place that is composed of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but adequate. Their page includes a series of classes. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be easy. Clickfunnels Order Form
As the direct customer service, they have a feature within the dashboard once you log in for, but I’m not delighted with it. They have been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing question, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t need that kind of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t provide that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In cases when features haven’t worked if there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, customer support reps were supposedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. He found that they were unhelpful and apathetic, when he contacted customer service. It may be a situation that is bizarre, improbable, but it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I would not state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think that the team understand that their services are not absolutely simple to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they have put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Maybe consumers wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a minimum that makes it at least great. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching verdict? It is fine! It is a legitimate competitor in the marketing software space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: you might want to check Should you want a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with customization skills. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let additional advantages like the learning curve, solid integrations, and superior templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and reach higher conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for significantly less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty sure that for the huge majority of prospective users, the webpage builder offers enough choice. If you are looking first and foremost to get an sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it hasn’t attained its popularity after all, and that’s why I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
