ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market things online using otherwise complicated advertising technologies, called sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He has made a fortune, not only from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played around with email marketing for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two books that his fans rave about and that guide people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Member Login
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. But they had great potential as a product and soon realized their production would be useful to others.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes individuals who don’t understand you and turns them into customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to guide a web site visitor.
There’s a way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn many of your visitors into clients. In a physical shop, that is like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. You can talk your clients into buying something. In a shop that is digital, you may be a little more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer until people wind up at a payment page.
You are correct, if you feel that sounds cool –it’s become a massive deal for online advertising. Russell Brunson did get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energyto do exactly what otherwise requires a whole lot of technological proficiency and/or an array of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning money for the consumer. They make it put your content up, quite simple to make your accounts, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty easy to select up everything –it will probably take you a few hours to find out most of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I like how simple it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a feature that is fairly important, and they have pulled it. It is an easy to use drag and drop builder, As soon as you become used to it.
Built in A/B testing is great. All you have to do is duplicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the amounts of your visitors that you wish to view version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to manage.
You will also find a handy WordPress plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.
All in 1
Overall, it’s good to get things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Member Login
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a great job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they’d have when they tried to handle funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s a number of places that require work.
A small drawback is the cost. There are two options, at $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your organization, a drawback, and like I have said, you get a fantastic package for it.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic queries, but if you ask them more difficult things, especially about more innovative features, they will not be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but I take a slight issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a advertising for sure. But from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the software, you may attempt to look at the purpose features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This usually means you’ll find yourself buying online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and most posts consists of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sport cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more concentrated on earning quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.
We all know the founder is a marketing but so much of this product is tied to his doctrine and his own brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it seems to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few elements of the product (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the community. While you’ve got the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, many people use layouts. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will return. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a lot of cash.
In addition, it is hard to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t always check or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I replicate webpages using the HTML printing alternative, barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices alter, etcand it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I like consistency in my applications, especially if it is a business solution.
At length, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that may be more economical upfront and yield more control over managing specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the service, in order you do not need to commit to a costly program straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some would say so, and that I could see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 per month. However, it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main company, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the full list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that allows you describe a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Package, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the following section of this ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the complete official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Member Login
A/B split testing is a feature, but definitely a notable one.
If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the divide test basically enables you to select what percentages of the visitors you want to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It is simple to use and a function.
I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the basic features were pretty great.
There are a number of kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented into several kinds of businesses, and also you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Full Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The chief objective of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to create managing an affiliate system simpler and more efficient.
But are such features, or separate products? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder to me, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here is the Complete list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You can view the complete list of features, together with Full Suite features, here. If you’re in a situation where you can manage to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I don’t believe you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can not do without them: for most users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote attention. In reality, I feel a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it turned into a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s rather a range of templates with great designs, however as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You might also save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it’s pretty easy to see them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings and open in the editor.
You’ll basically be working with a drag and drop builder once your pages open from the editor. It is a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor uses a page structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting inside each other (this article has a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: components, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns move inside segments, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that go inside columns and make your page interactive to its visitors.
It may sound complicated, but it’s rather easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a part, however if I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A small criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within these columns and rows. Personally, I do not believe this is a massive issue and the builder gives you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
Overall, I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For instance, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few partners you may add to your integrations easily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations section, you can look for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click the one. Clickfunnels Member Login
The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to check your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the process straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each of these integrations is pretty easy–so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally operate and you don’t have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main market is its ease of usage –because their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some experience.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve could be just a couple hours max. If you are actually behind, pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most questions should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or payment processors will want a little bit of comprehension, but it is nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it’s stuff you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably won’t be sufficient to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all prospective users enter with a few simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience here) will find the most use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to some businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and those offering B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with people offering more products or independent ventures. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good way of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be support also. The same holds for people selling content like courses or publications.
Obviously, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I do not think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller business, alright with the price tag, and you need to produce your traffic work for you , I doubt you would be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is only for SaaS companies, but still sufficient. Their docs page includes a collection of classes. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it may be easy. Clickfunnels Member Login
As the customer assistance, they’ve a feature within the dashboard once you log into for, but I’m not pleased with it. They have generally been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they took three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t need that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t provide that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when features haven’t worked if there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, customer service reps were allegedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. He discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic After he contacted customer service. It may be a situation that is weird, unlikely, but it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think the team largely understand that their solutions are not absolutely simple to use and/or demand tools new for their users, and they have put enough resources into their support to make it decent. At least queries will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Most consumers, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets. Within this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the verdict that is overarching? It’s good–4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing program space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: you might want to check into third party options you can tie Should you want a more solution to your advertising needs with customization abilities. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or some glitches in the software. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone positives such as good templates, integrations that are strong, and the short learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for significantly less internet-exposed entrepreneurs. I am pretty certain that for the majority of prospective users, option is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking for a simple but solid sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On empty promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that is why I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
