ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell things online using otherwise complicated advertising technologies, called sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played around with email advertising for some time, and started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Secrets his fans rave about and that direct people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels Lady Boss
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his team produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. However, they had great potential as a product and soon realized their production would be helpful to other people.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes people who don’t know you and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to direct a web site visitor.
There is a dull way of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you call web traffic or website traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. You can speak your clients into purchasing something. In a shop, you could be a little more distant from your customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your clients’ . The funnel works step-by-step, draw visitors in closer and closer till people end up at a payment page.
If you feel this sounds cool, you’re correct –it has turned into a huge deal for online marketing. Russell Brunson did not just become rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energy–to do what demands a whole lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making your consumer money. They make it put your content up quite simple to make your accounts, and start taking payments. Additionally, it is rather easy to select everything up–it will probably take you a few hours to find out a lot of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I like how easy it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a feature, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It is an simple to use drag and drop builder once you become used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the amounts of the traffic that you wish to see variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.
You will also find a handy WordPress plugin that allows you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
Overall, it is great to get things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All this really does save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You may rest assured that the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. In case you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the complete suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Lady Boss
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they’d have if they tried to manage funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s a number of places that require work.
A drawback is the cost. There are only two pricing options, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t another investment in your organization, a drawback, and like I have said, you receive a good package for this.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with fundamental questions, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more advanced features, they won’t be very beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but I take a small issue with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype. They have a great advertising. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you sign up for the software, you can try to examine the objective features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.
This means you’ll end up buying online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sport cars. Though these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they’re more focused on making quick cash instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and experts, along with other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.
A lot of the product is tied into his doctrine and his own brand, although Most of us know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when some aspects of their product (i.e., client service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. As you have the capability to customize extensively within ClickFunnels, many people use designs. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing traffic to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a lot of money.
In addition, it is hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you always check or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I clone pages using the HTML printing alternative barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I like consistency in my applications if it’s a business solution.
Finally, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which may be cheaper upfront and yield more control over managing specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use bundle of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the service, in order you don’t need to commit to an expensive plan straight away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say , and I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 a month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level consideration and a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split tests, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the subsequent section of this ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I believe they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Lady Boss
A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but definitely a notable one.
If you replicate a page and make changes to the copy, the split test essentially enables you to select what percentages of your visitors that you need to view per page, allowing you test conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a function and quite simple to use.
I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be easy to work with, I believed the fundamental features were pretty great.
There are quite a few types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different types of companies, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The chief objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.
However, are products, or these attributes? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of all StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels

You can view the complete list of features, together with Full Suite features, here. If you are in a position where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a little and you absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I don’t think you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can not do without them: for most users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote attention to it. In fact, I think a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s rather an array of templates with great layouts, though as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You might even save certain templates and create own page templates, and it’s pretty simple to see them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with basic settings and open from the editor.
When you start your pages you be working using a drag and drop builder. It’s a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor uses a page structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting inside every other (this article includes a helpful diagram). Basically: elements, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or around four. Elements are the lively bits that go inside columns and also make your page interactive to its visitors.
It may sound complicated, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a section, however when I was hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you have to work within these columns and rows. I personally do not think this is a massive issue and the builder gives you enough control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few noteworthy partners you may enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, simply click on the one you desire and add it. Clickfunnels Lady Boss
The procedure for managing integrations can also be simple, though you may need to look at your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll discover the procedure pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section separate from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all these integrations is pretty easy–as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate and you do not need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its simplicity of use–as their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve could be just a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson if you behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me like most questions should be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s stuff you can determine by Googling about or seeing the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably won’t be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It combines alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I’d indicate all prospective users input with some simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and those offering B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does ventures that are independent or creative products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you are a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything there would be great support too. The same goes for individuals selling content like courses or publications.
Of course, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I do not think you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, okay with the price tag, and you need to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a much better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is sufficient, although only for SaaS companies. Their page has a collection of classes, each with their own posts. It may be easy, but it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Lady Boss
As for the customer service that is immediate, they have a chat feature within the dashboard after you log in, but I’m not delighted by it. They have been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in cases when features haven’t worked when there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, customer support representatives were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. When he contacted customer service, he found that they were unhelpful and apathetic. It may be a situation that is weird, improbable, however it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think that the team largely understand that their services are not absolutely simple to use and/or involve tools fresh for their users, and they have put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least questions will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Most users, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it mostly meets. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching verdict? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate competitor in the advertising program space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: If you need a more solution to your marketing needs with customization abilities that are higher, you might want to check into third party options you’ll be able to connect together. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or some glitches in the program. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let additional advantages like integrations that are solid, the learning curve, and templates that are good.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and attain conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be helpful for internet-exposed entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I’m pretty sure that for the majority of potential users, enough choice is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking first and foremost to get a simple but solid sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. On empty promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that is why I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
