What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only 3 years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complex marketing technologies, called sales funnels (more on those in a second).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but marketing experiences. He played around with email advertising for some time, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Expert Secrets his fans rave about and that direct people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Inner Circle

ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team produce funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would normally take weeks. But they had great potential as a product and soon realized their creation would be useful to other people.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes people who don’t understand you and turns them into customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps developed to guide a web site visitor into the checkout page.

There is a way of considering it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors doesn’t turn . In a physical store, that is like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. At a physical store, you can speak your clients into buying something. In a digital store, you may be a bit more distant from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your clients’ . The funnel works incremental, bring visitors in closer and closer until people wind up in a page.

You are right, if you think this sounds cool –it has turned into a huge deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energy–to do what otherwise demands a lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making your user money. They make it simple to make your account, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty simple to select everything up–it’ll probably take you a couple hours to figure out a lot of what you require, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to replicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a fairly important attribute, and they have pulled it off nicely. It is an simple to use drag and drop builder As soon as you get used to it.

A/B analyzing

Constructed in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and choose the amounts of the traffic you want to see version A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a handy WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress site. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active setups.

All in 1

Overall, it’s good to have things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.

All of this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Value

You can rest assured the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp account is really decent. In case you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Inner Circle

ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packaging good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they would have when they tried to handle funnels another manner.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few places that need work.

Overpriced?

A drawback is the price. There are just two options, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your organization, a drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you receive a package for this.

Lackluster Client Support

Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with basic questions, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be quite helpful.

Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Founder

This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but that I take a small problem with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a great advertising. But from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to look at the objective features of this software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.

This usually means you will find yourself buying online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and posts is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they made. Although these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they are more focused on earning quick money instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.

So much of this item is tied to his doctrine and his brand, although we all know the founder is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it looks like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when some aspects of their merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels however more about the community. As you’ve got the ability to customize extensively within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use designs. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y seems floating around. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or experience some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t occur often, there is little you can do but wait. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a lot of money.

In addition, it is difficult to know if your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I replicate webpages using the HTML printing alternative, barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etcand it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.

I like consistency within my software if it is a business alternative.

Too Simple

Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with : it’s too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches which may be cheaper upfront and give more control over managing specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use bundle of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test the service, in order you do not need to commit to a costly plan right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some might say , and I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. But it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. I consider it a good investment.

The main differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the complete list of features.

But, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide tests, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you describe a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domain names; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Total Package, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the following section of this ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to view the complete official record here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I think that they’re solid and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Inner Circle

A/B split testing is a feature, but definitely a one.

If you duplicate a webpage and make changes to the backup, the divide test basically lets you select what percentages of the visitors you need to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a great function and quite simple to use.

I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be simple to use, I believed the basic features were pretty good.

There are quite a few kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of businesses, and also you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Total Suite is just three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to create managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.

But are different products, or such attributes? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but perhaps I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.

Here is the Complete list of StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order pages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per form

You can view the complete list of features, along with complete Suite features, here. If you’re in a position where you can manage to try out Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I do not believe you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can’t do without them: for many users, simply StartUp will provide a comprehensive enough bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wished to devote attention. In reality, I feel a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.

Anyway, there’s rather a range of templates with good layouts, though as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, so poking around is not too hard.

You can even save certain templates and make own page templates, and it’s rather easy to find them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with basic settings and open from the editor.

You be working with a drag and drop builder once your pages start from the editor. It is a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.

The editor utilizes a page structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Consider these parts as fitting inside every other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Basically: rows, columns, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the dynamic bits that also make your page interactive and go columns.

It might sound complex, but it is rather easy to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box since it is a section, but if I had been hovering over a component, it could be orange.

You can edit by section, row, column, etc, via the side bar. Parts of your webpage and all of the details can be altered or moved. The template editor allows for plenty of customization, but provides good control . You can do a variety of things–mobile previews, edit colors, text, settings, and nearly anything you expect. If you’re handy with code, you can also add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I do not think this is a huge problem and the builder provides you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
Overall, I enjoy the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few partners you can enhance your integrations. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click the one. Clickfunnels Inner Circle

The process for handling integrations is also simple, though you may need to look at your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll discover the procedure pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very straightforward way of adding and managing integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling each of these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally operate and you don’t need to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its ease of usage –as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that enable the less experienced save money and time. That being the situation, assessing ease of usage is pretty important.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some expertise.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve would be only a couple hours max. Pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson if you are really behind.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it seems to me as if most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or seeing the docs centre.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely won’t be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d suggest all prospective users enter with a few basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience ) will find the most use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those that offer B2B services would probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does nicely with people offering more products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for example, if you are a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good way of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there could be support also. The same goes for people selling content such as classes or books.

Obviously, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I do not believe you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price , and you need to make your traffic work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anyone who wants to maintain a much better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is only for SaaS companies, but still sufficient. Their docs page includes a collection of categories. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it may be simple. Clickfunnels Inner Circle

As once you log in for the customer assistance, they’ve a chat feature inside the dashboard, but I’m not pleased by it. They’ve been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not need that kind of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In cases when features have not worked as promised or if there were bizarre site malfunctions, customer service representatives were allegedly either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. When he contacted customer service, he discovered they were unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it might be a scenario that is bizarre, unlikely.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team understand that their services are not absolutely simple to use and/or demand tools fresh to their users, and they have put resources into their support to make it decent. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Maybe most users, myself included, wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it meets. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

Therefore, what’s the verdict that is overarching? It is fine! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising program area and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: you may want to check, Should you want a more hands-on answer to your marketing needs with greater customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives like templates that are good, integrations that are strong, and the learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be helpful for internet-exposed entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I am pretty certain that for the huge majority of prospective users, choice is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking to get a simple but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. In the end, it hasn’t attained its popularity on promises, and that I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
