What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complicated advertising technology, called sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played with email advertising for some time, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Expert Secrets his lovers rave about and that guide people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Https

ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team produce funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take months. They had good potential as a product and soon realized their production would be helpful to others.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes people who don’t understand you personally and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to direct a web site visitor.

There is a less boring way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you call internet traffic or site visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the store without buying anything. You can talk your customers. In a digital store, you could be a little more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your customers’ . The funnel works incremental, bring traffic in closer and closer till people end up at a payment page.

You’re correct if you think this sounds cool –it has become a huge bargain for internet marketing. Russell Brunson did not just get wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to save you time and energy–to do what requires a whole lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making your consumer money. They make it put your content up, simple to produce your account, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is rather easy to select everything up–it’ll probably take you a couple hours to figure out a lot of what you require, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature, and they have pulled it off nicely. It is an easy to use drag and drop builder once you become accustomed to it.

A/B analyzing

Built in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of your visitors you wish to see version A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a useful WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations.

All in one

In general, it’s good to get things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.

All this really does save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Value

You can rest assured the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. In case you have more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Https

ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have if they attempted to handle funnels another way.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few areas that require work.

A small drawback is the cost. There are only two pricing alternatives, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t another investment in your business a massive drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you receive a package for this.

Lackluster Client Support

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with basic questions, but if you inquire harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they won’t be quite beneficial.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator

This is not an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a small issue with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a fantastic marketing for certain. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the software, you can try to look at the objective features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.

This means you will end up buying online courses, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sport cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they are more concentrated on earning quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of trainers and specialists, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.

Most of us know the creator is a marketing magician, but much of the item is tied to his doctrine and his own brand. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it looks like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s hard to not get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when a few aspects of the product (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more on the community. While you have the ability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many people use designs. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great amount of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some errors or will return. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a lot of money.

It’s also hard to know when your pages are working or not, unless you constantly wait or wait until you hear from angry clients. Barring uptime, I also deal with some glitches when I clone webpages using the HTML publishing option.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.

I enjoy consistency in my software if it’s a business solution.

Too Simple

At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that may be more economical upfront and give more control over managing certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use package of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the support , so at least you don’t have to commit to a costly plan straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).

Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say so, and I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. However, it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty great job. I personally consider it a good investment.

The main differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.

But, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature that lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of this ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the gaps, StartUp essentially conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I think they’re strong and you get whatever you want. They’re largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Https

A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but definitely a noteworthy one.

If you duplicate a webpage and also make changes to the backup, the split test essentially enables you to select what percentages of your visitors that you need to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It’s very easy to use and a fantastic function.

In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for other settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to use, I believed the fundamental features were fairly great.

There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of companies, and you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Total Suite is just three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.

However, are different products, or these features? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Full Suite a little confusing and eliminates the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.

Here is the full list of StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order pages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per type

You may watch the full list of features, along with complete Suite features, here. If you are in a position where you can afford to try out Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I do not believe you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can not do without them: for most users, just StartUp will offer a thorough adequate package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ main feature, so I wanted to devote exclusive attention to it. In fact, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely with this particular landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s rather a range of templates with good designs, however as you may expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, so poking around isn’t too hard.

You can also save certain templates and also create own page templates, and it’s pretty simple to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with fundamental settings and open from the editor.

You’ll essentially be working with a drop and drag builder once your pages open from the editor. It is a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these parts as fitting inside every other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: components, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns go indoors segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive and go inside columns.

It might sound complicated, but it is rather easy to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box since it’s a section, but if I was hovering over a component, it could be orange.

You can edit by section, row, column, and so on, via the side bar. Parts of your webpage and all of the little details can be altered or moved. The editor allows for lots of customization, but offers control that is good also. You can do a variety of things–mobile previews, edit colours, text, settings, and just about anything you anticipate. If you’re handy with code, then you can even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I have heard (but do not have personally) about the builder is the way grid-like it is–you need to work within these rows and columns. I personally don’t think this is a massive issue and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
Overall, I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct kinds of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you may enhance your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one you desire and add it. Clickfunnels Https

The process for managing integrations can also be simple, though you may need to look at your third party program’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll discover the process straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some attributes, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward way of adding and handling integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be a lot of store unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing all these integrations is fairly simple –as long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you’re trying to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations operate smoothly and you don’t have to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of use–because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, evaluating ease of usage is really significant.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve could be only a few hours max. If you behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned previously in the review.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it appears to me as if most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.

All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is things you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs centre.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it probably won’t be enough to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It combines choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d indicate all prospective users input with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience ) will find the most use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some businesses over others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and those offering B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with people offering more ventures or creative products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you’re a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there could be support also. The same goes for people selling content like publications or classes.

Obviously, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t believe you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely in their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller business, okay with the price tag, and you need to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to keep a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but still sufficient. Their page includes a collection of classes. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be easy. Clickfunnels Https

As once you log into for the customer service that is direct, they’ve a feature inside the dashboard, but I’m not overly pleased with it. They have generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t offer that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In instances when attributes have not worked as promised or when there were site malfunctions, customer service reps were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. After he contacted customer support, he discovered they were unhelpful. It might be a unlikely scenario, however it illustrates the point.

Total Support Rating

I would not state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team largely understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools fresh to their users, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least basic questions will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Most consumers, myself included, wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it mostly meets a bare minimum which makes it. In this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

Therefore, what’s the verdict that is overarching? It is good! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing program space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you might want to look, Should you need a more answer to your marketing needs with customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or some glitches in the program. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives like templates that are good, integrations that are strong, and the learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain higher conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are less. I am pretty certain that for the huge majority of users, enough option is offered by the page builder. If you are looking first and foremost for an sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it has not reached its popularity after all, and that is why I’m giving it 4/5 celebrities.
