What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using differently complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played with email marketing for some time, and started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two novels that his fans rave about and that guide people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website Clickfunnels Harmony Brothers V

ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as developing funnels would usually take weeks. But they had good potential as a product and soon realized their production would be useful to other people.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes individuals who don’t understand you and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures designed to guide a web site visitor.

There’s a dull method of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you call internet traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a physical store, that’s like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. You can speak your customers. In a store, you could be a little more remote from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer till people end up at a page.

You are correct if you think that sounds cool –it’s become a massive deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did get rich by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energy–to do what requires a whole lot of proficiency and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making the consumer money. They make it put your content up, quite easy to produce your accounts, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s rather easy to select up everything –it will probably take you a couple hours to find out a lot of what you require, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are very useful here. I like how simple it is to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a feature that is pretty important, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It’s an builder As soon as you get accustomed to it.

A/B testing

Constructed in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of the visitors that you want to view version A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a useful WordPress plugin that lets you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations.

All in one

In general, it’s great to get things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.

All of this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Value

You can be sure that the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. In case you have over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Harmony Brothers V

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have when they tried to handle funnels another manner.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has a number of places that require work.

A drawback is the cost. There are two pricing alternatives, at $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your business a huge drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you receive a package for it.

Lackluster Client Service

Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental queries, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more innovative features, they will not be quite helpful.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator

This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but I take a slight issue with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a fantastic marketing for certain. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. When you register for the software, you can try to look at the purpose features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.

This means you’ll end up purchasing online classes, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and most articles consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they created. Though these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they are more focused on making quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.

A lot of the item is tied to his brand and his philosophy, although we all know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it looks like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when a few aspects of the merchandise (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the community. While you have the capability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many men and women use similar layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some errors. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a couple of hours, then you can potentially lose a good deal of money.

In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are working or not, unless you constantly check or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I replicate pages using the HTML publishing option, barring uptime, I also deal with some glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.

I like consistency within my software, particularly if it is a business solution.

Too Simple

Finally, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be cheaper upfront and give more control over handling certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the service, in order you don’t have to commit to a costly program right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. However, it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. I consider it a fantastic investment.

The main differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.

But, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you describe a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of the ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the gaps, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can watch the complete official list .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe that they’re solid and you get whatever you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Harmony Brothers V

A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a smaller feature a noteworthy one.

If you replicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the divide test basically enables you to select what percentages of your visitors that you need to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It is a function and easy to use.

I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to work with, I thought the basic features were pretty good.

There are a number of kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented into different kinds of businesses, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I have a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Full Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The chief goal of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.

But are products, or these features? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I am just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.

Here’s the Complete list of StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per form

You can view the complete list of features, along with Full Package features, here. If you are in a situation where you can manage to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely require an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I do not believe you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive benefit that you can not do without them: for most users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is probably ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote attention. In fact, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s quite a range of templates with good layouts, however as you can expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You can also save certain templates and create own page templates, and it’s pretty simple to find them. As you can see, you open from the editor and can toggle with fundamental settings.

Once your pages start from the editor, you be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it is still easy to use.

The editor uses a page structure with four main parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Consider these components as fitting within each other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the dynamic bits that also make your page interactive and go inside columns.

It may sound complicated, but it’s rather easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it’s a part, however if I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.

You could edit by section, row, column, and so on, through the side bar. All the details and parts of your webpage can be moved or altered. The template editor allows for plenty of customization, but offers control that is good also. You can do a variety of things–mobile previews, edit colors, text, settings, and nearly anything you anticipate. If you are handy with code, then you may also add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) about the builder is the way grid-like it is–you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I don’t believe this is a massive problem and the builder gives you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of instance, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you can add to your integrations. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, simply click the one. Clickfunnels Harmony Brothers V

The procedure for managing integrations is also simple, though you may need to look at your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very straightforward way of adding and handling integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be much of a store unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing all of these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations usually run smoothly and you don’t need to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of use–because their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that enable the less experienced save money and time. That being the situation, assessing ease of use is pretty important.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some experience.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would say the learning curve would be just a few hours max. If you behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned earlier in the review.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most questions must be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The center features of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or visiting the docs center.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It unites alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all prospective users input with a few basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience here) will get the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those that offer B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with those offering more ventures that are individual or innovative products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for example, if you’re a florist, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good method of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there would be good support also. The same holds for individuals selling content such as publications or classes.

Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t think you should decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller business, alright with the price , and you have to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but nevertheless adequate. Their docs page has a collection of classes. It may be simple, however content-wise it isn’t too shabby. Clickfunnels Harmony Brothers V

As once you log into for the direct customer service, they have a feature inside the dashboard, but I’m not overly pleased by it. They have generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that kind of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In instances when attributes have not worked as promised or when there were site malfunctions, client support representatives were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. After he contacted customer support, he found that they were apathetic and unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it may be a situation that is unlikely.

Overall Support Rating

I would not say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team mostly understand that their services are not simple to use and/or demand tools fresh for their users, and they have put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least basic questions will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Most users wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it mostly meets a minimum which makes it. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the conclusion? It is fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing software area and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: you may want to look into third party options you can connect together If you need a more solution to your advertising needs with higher customization abilities. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or some glitches in the program. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone other positives like strong integrations, the learning curve, and templates that are good.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for significantly less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty certain that for the huge majority of users, the page builder provides choice. If you’re looking to get an easy but powerful sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it has not reached its popularity after all, and that I am giving it 4/5 celebrities.
