ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market things online using otherwise complicated advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He has made a fortune, but not just from ClickFunnels, but advertising experiences. He played around with email advertising for a while, and began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets, two books and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets that his lovers rave about and that guide people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels Google
ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. They soon realized their production would be useful to others and had great potential as a product.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes people who do not understand you personally and turns them into customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to direct a website visitor to the checkout page.
There’s a less boring way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you call internet traffic or site traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a physical shop, that’s like people walking in to your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. You can speak your clients into purchasing something. In a digital store, you could be a little more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer till visitors wind up at a page.
You are correct if you feel that sounds cool –it has become a massive bargain for internet advertising. Russell Brunson did not just get wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energy–to do what otherwise demands a whole lot of proficiency and/or a range of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money. They make it put up your content quite easy to produce your accounts, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is pretty simple to pick up everything –it’ll probably take you a few hours to figure out most of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how simple it is to replicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a feature that is pretty important, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It’s an builder, once you get accustomed to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the numbers of the traffic you wish to see variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to control.
You will also find a useful WordPress plugin that lets you insert ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.
All in 1
In general, it’s great to have things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All this really will save you time and money, resources you would otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You may be sure that the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. If you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Google
ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have when they tried to manage funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of areas that require work.
A drawback is the price. There are just two pricing options, at either $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t like I have mentioned another investment in your business, and a massive drawback, you receive a package for this.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic queries, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a small issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype. They have a fantastic advertising. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you can try to examine the purpose features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This usually means you’ll end up purchasing online courses, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and many articles consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they made. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more focused on making quick cash rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy internet marketer stuff.
A lot of the product is tied into his doctrine and his own brand, although we know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some elements of the product (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. While you’ve got the capability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many people use designs. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y seems floating around. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some errors. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a lot of cash.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are working or not, unless you always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I clone webpages using the HTML printing option barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency in my software if it is a business alternative.
Finally, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with : it’s too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches which may be more economical upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use package of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the support , so at least you don’t have to commit to an expensive plan straight away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say , and that I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 per month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. I personally consider it a good investment.
The main differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main company, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the complete list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you characterize a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to watch the complete official list here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think they’re solid and you get whatever you want. They’re largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Google
A/B split testing is definitely, although a more compact feature a one.
If you duplicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the split test basically lets you select what percentages of the visitors that you want to see per page, allowing you test conversion rates very handily. It’s a fantastic function and easy to use.
I also think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the fundamental features were pretty good.
There are quite a few kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several kinds of companies, and also you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will only have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complex. The chief goal of Actionetics is smart analytics which result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to create managing an affiliate system easier and more effective.
However, are such attributes, or products that are separate? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of all StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per form
You can view the full list of features, together with complete Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to afford to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely require an efficient, simple way of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you would find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can not do without them: for many users, just StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote special attention to it. In reality, I feel a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it turned into a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s rather a range of templates with good designs, however as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You might even save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it is pretty simple to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings and open in the editor.
You be working with a drop and drag builder When your pages open in the editor. It is a bit more complex than some other mild page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor uses a page structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting inside every other (this informative article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and components go inside of sections. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have a row with one column, or around four. Elements are the bits that go inside columns and also make your page interactive to its customers.
It may sound complex, but it’s pretty simple to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a part, however when I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have ) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within these rows and columns. Personally, I don’t believe this is a huge problem and the builder gives you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other advertising and marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For instance, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, simply click on the one you desire and add it. Clickfunnels Google
The procedure for managing integrations can also be simple, though you may have to look at your third party software’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the process pretty simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few features, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple method of adding and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section different from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each of these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations usually run smoothly and you do not have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its simplicity of use–as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the situation, assessing ease of usage is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve would be just a few hours max. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned earlier in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me like most queries must be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or payment processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is things you can figure out by Googling about or seeing the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it likely will not be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d indicate all potential users input with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience here) will find the most use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a companies more than others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and those that offer B2B services will probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does ventures that are independent or creative products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you are a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything there would be support too. The same goes for individuals selling content like classes or books.
Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I do not think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely on their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you have to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you would be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a much better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which is composed of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is adequate, although just for SaaS companies. Their page has a collection of categories, each with their own posts. It might be simple, however content-wise it isn’t too shabby. Clickfunnels Google
As after you log in for the direct customer assistance, they have a feature within the dashboard, but I’m not delighted with it. They have generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not need that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t provide that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In cases when features haven’t worked when there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, customer support reps were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, a number of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. After he contacted customer service, he discovered that they were unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it might be a scenario that is improbable.
Overall Support Rating
I would not state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think the team understand that their solutions are not perfectly simple to use and/or involve tools new for their customers, and they’ve put enough resources in their support to make it adequate. At least basic queries will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Maybe most consumers, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a bare minimum that makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching verdict? It is fine! It is a legitimate contender in the advertising program space and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: you may want to look into third party options you can tie, Should you need a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with customization abilities. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or some glitches in the software. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let other positives like strong integrations, the learning curve, and templates that are good.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be useful for less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty certain that for the majority of potential users, the page builder provides enough choice. If you’re looking first and foremost to get a simple but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not attained its popularity on empty promises, and that is why I am giving it 4/5 celebrities.
