What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market things online using otherwise complicated marketing technologies, called sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played around with email advertising for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets, two novels that his lovers rave that direct and about people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels Glassdoor
ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take weeks. However, they had good potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be useful to other people.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes individuals who don’t know you and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps developed to direct a website visitor.
There’s a dull method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors still doesn’t turn into customers. In a physical store, that is like people walking in to your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. At a physical store, you can talk your customers. In a shop that is digital, you may be a bit more remote from the customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your clients’ . The funnel works step-by-step, draw traffic in closer and closer till people wind up in a payment page.
You are correct if you think that sounds cool –it’s become a huge bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson did get rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it as well.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save time and energyto do what requires a whole lot of competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money. They make it put your content up very simple to make your account, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s rather simple to pick everything up–it’ll probably take you a few hours to figure out most of what you need, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how simple it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a attribute that is fairly important, and they have pulled it. It is an easy to use drag and drop builder, once you become used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you need to do is duplicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the amounts of the traffic that you want to see variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.
You’ll also find a WordPress plugin that allows you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
Overall, it is good to get things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All of this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise need to invest on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You can rest assured that the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. In case you have more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the full package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Glassdoor
ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a great job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they’d have if they tried to manage funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s a number of places that require work.
A drawback is the price. There are two pricing alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your organization, a drawback, and like I have said, you get a package for this.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental queries, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they will not be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of the product but that I take a small issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a fantastic marketing. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you register for the applications, you may attempt to look at the objective features of this software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This means you will end up buying online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and most posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sport cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and experts, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.
So much of this item is tied into his philosophy and his brand, although we all know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some elements of the product (i.e., client service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more about the neighborhood. While you have the capability to customize extensively within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use similar designs. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some errors or will go down. Though this doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a lot of money.
It’s also difficult to know if your pages are working or not, unless you always check or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I clone webpages using the HTML publishing option, barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency in my applications if it is a business solution.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that can be more economical upfront and give more control over managing specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the support , so at least you don’t have to commit to a costly program straight away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say , and that I could see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 a month. But it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. I consider it a good investment.
The main differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.
But, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature which lets you describe a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Package, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe that they’re strong and you get everything you want. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are good examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Glassdoor
A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but unquestionably a one.
If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the split test essentially enables you to select what percentages of the traffic you want to view per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It is a function and very simple to use.
I also think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the fundamental features were pretty great.
There are quite a few kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of businesses, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will just take a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Total Suite is just three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to create managing an affiliate system easier and more effective.
However, are different products, or such attributes? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder to me, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per type
You may watch the complete list of features, along with Full Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you can afford to try Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I do not believe you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can not do without them: for most users, just StartUp will provide a thorough adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote attention to it. In fact, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.
Anyway, there is rather a range of templates with good layouts, though as you can expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You can even save certain templates and make own page templates, and it is pretty simple to find them. It is possible to toggle with fundamental settings and open from the editor as you can see.
Once your pages open from the editor, you be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor uses a page structure with four main components: sections, rows, columns, and components. Consider these parts as fitting inside every other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or around four. Elements are the lively bits that make your page interactive and go within columns.
It may sound complex, but it is rather simple to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box since it’s a part, but when I was hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) about the builder is how grid-like it is–you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I do not believe this is a massive issue and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct kinds of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one you desire and insert it. Clickfunnels Glassdoor
The process for handling integrations is also simple, though you might have to check your third party program’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the process straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple method of incorporating and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a store unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all these integrations is fairly simple –as long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations run and you don’t need to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its simplicity of usage –as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced save money and time. That being the situation, evaluating ease of use is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I would say the learning curve would be just a few hours max. If you’re really behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned in the review.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it appears to me like most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core features of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or payment processors will want a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it’s things you’ll be able to figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely will not be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites choice and customizability with ease, and while I would indicate all prospective users enter with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience ) will get the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those offering B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with people offering more ventures that are independent or creative products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you’re a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything around yourself and your brand, there would be good support too. The same goes for individuals selling content like classes or publications.
Of course, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t believe you should decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you have to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is adequate, although only for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a series of classes. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it may be simple. Clickfunnels Glassdoor
As after you log in for the customer assistance, they’ve a chat feature within the dashboard, but I’m not pleased with it. They have generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing question, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not need that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t provide that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Additionally, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in cases when features haven’t worked if there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer service reps were supposedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic, After he contacted customer support. It may be a situation that is improbable, but it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team mostly understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools fresh for their customers, and they have put enough resources in their support to make it adequate. At least questions will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Perhaps most users, myself included, wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it mostly meets a minimum that makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It’s good! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing program space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: Should you need a more hands-on answer to your advertising needs with customization abilities that are higher, you might want to look. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the program. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages such as solid integrations the short learning curve, and templates that are superior.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty helpful for significantly less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty certain that for the majority of potential users, option is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking for a simple but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity In the end, and that I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
