ClickFunnels has made a pretty big name for itself because it started, becoming one of the largest advertising SaaS (Software as a Service) companies round. ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market things online using differently complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not only from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played around with email marketing for a while, and began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two books that his fans rave about and that guide people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Gif
ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his team produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. But they soon realized their creation would be helpful to other people and had great potential as a product.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes individuals who do not understand you and turns them to customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to guide a website visitor to the checkout page.
There is a way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call web traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn into clients. In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. In a physical store, you can talk your clients into purchasing something. In a store, you may be a bit more distant from your customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer until visitors end up in a payment page.
If you think that sounds cool, you are right–it has turned into a huge deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did become rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to save time and energy–to do exactly what otherwise demands a whole lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money for your consumer. They make it put your content up, simple to make your account, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty easy to select everything up–it will likely take you a few hours to find out a lot of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I like how easy it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature, and they’ve pulled it. It’s an builder, As soon as you get used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the amounts of your visitors that you want to see version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to manage.
You will also find a handy WordPress plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.
All in 1
In general, it is great to have things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Gif
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packaging great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they would have when they attempted to handle funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s a number of areas that need work.
A drawback is the price. There are two options, at either $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t like I’ve said another investment in your business, and a huge drawback, you receive a package for this.
Lackluster Client Support
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic queries, but if you inquire harder things, especially about more advanced features, they won’t be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but that I take a slight problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a advertising. But from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you register for the applications, you can try to look at the objective features of this software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This usually means you will end up purchasing online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and articles is composed of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they made. Though these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy internet marketer stuff.
We know the founder is a marketing but so much of the item is tied to his own brand and his philosophy. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s hard not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when a few elements of their merchandise (i.e., client service) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more on the community. As you have the capability to personalize within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use similar designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some mistakes. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a lot of money.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are working or not, unless you always wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I clone webpages using the HTML printing option, barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etcand it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency in my applications, particularly if it’s a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with personally: it’s too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that may be more economical upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test the support , so at least you don’t have to commit to a costly program right away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say , and I could see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 per month. However, it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. I personally consider it a good investment.
The main differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the complete list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Suite, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe that they’re solid and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Gif
A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but definitely a noteworthy one.
If you replicate a webpage and make changes to the backup, the divide test basically lets you select what percentages of your traffic you need to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It is very easy to use and a function.
I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the fundamental features were pretty good.
There are a number of types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of businesses, and also you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will just have a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Full Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it is a little more complicated. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.
However, are products that are different, or such attributes? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to market an iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but perhaps I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Complete Suite a little confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per type
You may watch the full list of features, together with complete Package attributes, here. If you’re in a situation where you are able to afford to try Etison for a little and you absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing sales, I do not think you’d wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can not do without themfor many users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wanted to devote exclusive attention to it. In fact, I feel a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s quite an array of templates with great layouts, though as you may expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You can also save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it is rather easy to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are fundamental and open from the editor.
You be working using a drop and drag builder once your pages start from the editor. It’s a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and components. Think of these parts as fitting within each other (this article includes a helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive to its visitors and go columns.
It may sound complex, but it’s rather simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it’s a section, but when I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within these columns and rows. Personally, I do not think this is a huge problem and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may enhance your integrations. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they will come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, simply click the one. Clickfunnels Gif
The process for managing integrations can also be simple, though you may have to check your third party software’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the process pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward way of incorporating and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each these integrations is fairly easy–as long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you’re trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally run smoothly and you don’t need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of usage –as their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced save time and money. That being the situation, assessing ease of use is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I would say the learning curve could be just a couple hours maximum. If you are really behind, pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most questions must be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The center features of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will require a little bit of comprehension, but it is nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is things you can figure out by Googling about or seeing the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it probably won’t be sufficient to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It unites alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I would indicate all prospective users input with a few simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience here) will get the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses more than others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and those that offer B2B services will probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with people offering more products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for example, if you are a florist, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good method of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be good support also. The same goes for individuals selling content such as classes or books.
Of course, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price , and you need to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which is composed of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is just for SaaS companies, but sufficient. Their page has a collection of classes. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be easy. Clickfunnels Gif
As for the direct customer service, they have a chat feature inside the dashboard once you log into, but I’m not too delighted with it. They’ve been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more complex questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they took three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not need that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t provide that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in cases when features haven’t worked if there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, customer service reps were supposedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. After he contacted customer support, he discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic. It may be a scenario that is improbable, but it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think that the team largely understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools new for their customers, and they have put resources in their support to make it decent. At least queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Perhaps most consumers would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a minimum which makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching verdict? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate contender in the marketing software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: If you want a more hands-on answer to your advertising needs with customization abilities that are higher, you may want to check. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages such as integrations that are solid, the short learning curve, and templates that are good.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and reach conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be quite useful for entrepreneurs that are less. I’m pretty sure that for the majority of potential users, the webpage builder offers option. If you are looking for an easy but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. It hasn’t attained its popularity on promises, and that I’m giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
