What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complex advertising technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played with email marketing for some time, and started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two books that his lovers rave about and that guide people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Get Rich

ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. They had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be useful to others.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes people who don’t understand you personally and turns them to customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps designed to guide a website visitor to the checkout page.

There’s a method of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you call web traffic or website traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, many of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking in to your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without purchasing anything. In a physical store, you can talk your customers into purchasing something. In a digital shop, you could be a bit more remote from your customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer until people wind up at a payment page.

You’re right, if you think that sounds cool –it’s become a massive deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did get rich by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it as well.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energyto do exactly what otherwise requires a lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

One of the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money. They make it put your content up, very simple to produce your accounts, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is rather easy to select up everything –it’ll likely take you a couple hours to figure out a lot of what you need, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a pretty important feature, and they have pulled it off nicely. Once you become accustomed to it, it’s an builder.

A/B analyzing

Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of your visitors you wish to view variant A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations well. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.

All in 1

In general, it’s great to get things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.

All of this really will save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Value

You can be sure the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp account is pretty decent. In case you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Get Rich

ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they’d have when they tried to manage funnels another way.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few places that need work.

A small drawback is the price. There are two pricing alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a drawback, just another investment in your business, and like I have mentioned, you get a good package for this.

Lackluster Client Service

Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with fundamental questions, but if you ask them more difficult things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be very beneficial.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator

This is not an objective criticism of the product but that I take a slight problem with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype. They have a fantastic advertising. However, from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the software, you can try to look at the purpose features of this software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.

This usually means you will end up purchasing online courses, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and articles consists of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they’re more focused on making quick cash instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy online marketer stuff.

A lot of this product is tied to his own brand and his philosophy, although we know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard to not get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when a few elements of the product (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels however more about the community. As you have the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use layouts. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y seems floating about. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.

In addition, it is hard to know when your pages are working or not, unless you always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I replicate webpages using the HTML publishing option, barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.

I like consistency in my applications if it’s a business alternative.

Too Simple

At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that can be cheaper upfront and give more control over managing specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the service, in order you don’t have to commit to an expensive program straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).

Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say so, and that I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 a month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly great job. I personally consider it a good investment.

The principal differences between an entry level consideration and a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the main company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.

However, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide tests, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature which allows you describe a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domain names; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the subsequent section of this ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official record here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re strong and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Get Rich

A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a more compact feature a one.

If you duplicate a webpage and make changes to the backup, the divide test basically lets you choose what percentages of your visitors that you need to view per page, letting you test conversion rates very conveniently. It is a fantastic function and very easy to use.

In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for other settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the basic features were fairly good.

There are a number of kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of businesses, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I take a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Full Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.

However, are products that are different, or these attributes? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Complete Suite a little confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.

Here is the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order pages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per form

You can watch the complete list of features, together with Full Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to afford to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I do not believe you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wanted to devote special attention to it. In fact, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it turned into a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this particular landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s rather a range of templates with good layouts, though as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, therefore poking around is not too hard.

You can even save certain templates and create own page templates, and it is rather easy to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are basic and open in the editor.

Once your pages open in the editor, you will essentially be working using a drop and drag builder. It is a bit more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still easy to use.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Consider these parts as fitting within every other (this article has a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: elements, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns go indoors segments, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or around four. Elements are the lively bits that make your page interactive and go columns.

It might sound complicated, but it is pretty easy to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box because it is a part, but when I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.

You can also edit section, row, column, etc, via the side bar. Parts of your page and all of the details can be moved or altered. The template editor allows for lots of customization, but offers good control . You can do a variety of things–mobile previews, edit colours, text, configurations, and nearly anything you expect. If you are handy with code, you may even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it is–you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I do not believe this is a massive issue and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
Overall, I like the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you may enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, simply click on the one you want and insert it. Clickfunnels Get Rich

The procedure for handling integrations can also be simple, though you might need to look at your third party program’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll discover the process pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few attributes, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple way of adding and handling integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling each these integrations is fairly simple –as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re attempting to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate and you don’t need to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main market is its simplicity of usage –as their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of usage is really significant.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say the learning curve could be only a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson, if you behind.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it seems to me like most questions must be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.

All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is things you can determine by Googling around or seeing the docs center.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I would indicate all prospective users input with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience here) will find the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses over others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and even those offering B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does products or ventures that are individual. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for example, if you are a florist, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there could be support too. The same holds for people selling content like publications or courses.

Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t believe you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price , and you need to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you would be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to keep a much better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is sufficient, although just for SaaS companies. Their page has a collection of classes. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it might be simple. Clickfunnels Get Rich

As the direct customer service, they’ve a chat feature inside the dashboard once you log into for, but I am not too delighted by it. They’ve generally been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. Notably, in instances when features haven’t worked when there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer support reps were allegedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He found that they were unhelpful and apathetic when he contacted customer service. It illustrates the point, although it may be a unlikely scenario.

Total Support Rating

I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think that the team understand that their services are not absolutely easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their users, and they have put enough resources into their support to make it decent. At least questions will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Perhaps most consumers, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it meets. Within this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the conclusion? It is good! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising software area and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: If you want a more solution to your marketing needs with customization abilities that are greater, you may want to look into third party options you’ll be able to connect. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let additional advantages such as solid integrations the learning curve, and templates that are superior.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and reach higher conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty useful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty sure that for the huge majority of prospective users, the page builder offers option. If you’re looking to get a simple but solid sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. It hasn’t reached its popularity on empty promises, and that I am giving it 4/5 stars.
