What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market things online using differently complicated advertising technology, called sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He has made a fortune, not only from ClickFunnels, but other advertising experiences. He played around with email marketing for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets, two novels and the author of DotCom Secrets that his fans rave about and that guide people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Funnel Scripts

ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be helpful to other people.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes people who don’t know you personally and turns them to customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to direct a website visitor.

There’s a less boring way of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn many of your visitors into customers. In a physical shop, that’s like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without purchasing anything. At a store, you can speak your clients into purchasing something. In a shop, you may be a bit more distant from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, bring visitors in closer and closer until people end up in a page.

You are right, if you feel that sounds cool –it has become a huge deal for advertising. Russell Brunson didn’t just get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energy–to do what requires a whole lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Cash

Among the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning money. They make it easy to make your account, put your content up, and start taking payments. Plus, it is rather easy to select up everything –it will likely take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how simple it is to duplicate pages, and the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a feature, and they have pulled it off nicely. Once you get used to it, it’s an builder.

A/B analyzing

Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and choose the numbers of your traffic you want to see variant A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active installations.

All in one

Overall, it’s good to have things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.

All of this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Worth

You can rest assured that the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is really decent. In case you have over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Funnel Scripts

ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they would have if they tried to manage funnels another manner.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of areas that need work.

A drawback is the cost. There are only two options, at $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a drawback, just another investment in your organization, and like I’ve said, you receive a package for this.

Lackluster Customer Support

Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental queries, but if you inquire harder things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be very beneficial.

Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Founder

This isn’t an objective criticism of the product but that I take a small issue with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a marketing. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you can try to look at the purpose features of this software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.

This usually means you will find yourself buying online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and most posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they are more focused on earning quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy online marketer stuff.

A lot of this product is tied to his own brand and his doctrine, although we all know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when a few aspects of their merchandise (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels but more on the neighborhood. While you’ve got the capability to personalize within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use designs. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will go down. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a couple of hours, then you can potentially lose a lot of money.

It’s also hard to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t constantly wait or wait until you hear from angry customers. Barring uptime, I also deal with some glitches when I clone webpages using the HTML publishing alternative.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.

I like consistency within my applications if it is a business alternative.

Too Simple

At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with : it is too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that may be more economical upfront and give more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the service, so at least you do not need to commit to an expensive program straight away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some might say so, and that I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 per month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a fairly great job. I consider it a good investment.

The main differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the main service, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.

However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split tests, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that lets you describe a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Full Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the complete official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think they’re solid and you get everything you want. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Funnel Scripts

A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a one.

If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the copy, the divide test basically enables you to choose what percentages of your traffic that you need to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a great function and easy to use.

I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be easy to use, I believed the basic features were pretty good.

There are quite a few kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of companies, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I’ll only have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complex. The chief objective of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.

However, are products, or these features? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I’m just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a little perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.

Here is the Complete list of StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase pages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per form

You may watch the complete list of features, along with complete Suite features, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to afford to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I don’t think you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive benefit that you can not do without them: for many users, just StartUp will provide a comprehensive enough package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote special attention to it. In fact, I think a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s rather an array of templates with good designs, though as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, so poking around is not too hard.

You can even save certain templates and create personal page templates, and it is rather simple to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are fundamental and open in the editor.

When you open your pages you’ll basically be working with a drag and drop builder. It is a little more complex than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.

The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Consider these components as fitting inside every other (this informative article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: elements, columns, and rows go inside of sections. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the dynamic bits that go inside columns and also make your page interactive to its visitors.

It might sound complex, but it is pretty easy to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it is a section, but if I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.

You could edit section, row, column, etc, via the side bar. Parts of your webpage and all the small details can be moved or altered. The editor allows for lots of customization, but offers control also. You can do a variety of things–mobile previews, edit colours, text, settings, and just about anything you expect. If you’re handy with code, then you can even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A small criticism I have heard (but don’t have ) on the builder is how grid-like it is–you have to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I do not believe this is a huge issue and the builder provides you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you can enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a Complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one you want and insert it. Clickfunnels Funnel Scripts

The procedure for handling integrations can also be straightforward, though you may need to look at your third party software’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll discover the process pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very straightforward method of incorporating and handling integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be a lot of store unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing all of these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally run smoothly and you do not have to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of use–because their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which allow the less experienced to save money and time. That being the situation, assessing ease of use is pretty significant.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say the learning curve could be just a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson if you’re actually behind.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will require a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is things you’ll be able to figure out by Googling about or seeing the docs center.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it likely will not be enough to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I would suggest all prospective users enter with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will find the most use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a businesses.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and those that offer B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with those offering more products or individual ventures. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you’re a gentleman, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything around yourself and your brand, there could be good support also. The same holds for individuals selling content such as classes or publications.

Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I do not believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only on their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you have to produce your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a much better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is still sufficient, although only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page has a collection of classes, each with their own articles. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be simple. Clickfunnels Funnel Scripts

As for the customer service that is direct, they have a chat feature inside the dashboard once you log into, but I am not overly delighted with it. They have been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing query, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not require that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t provide that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in cases when features have not worked as promised or if there were bizarre site malfunctions, customer service representatives were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. After he contacted customer service, he found they were unhelpful. It may be a unlikely scenario, but it illustrates the point.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel that the team mostly understand that their solutions are not absolutely simple to use and/or involve tools fresh to their customers, and they’ve put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least questions will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Most consumers wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it mostly meets. In this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the overarching verdict? It is good! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing software space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you may want to look, Should you want a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or any glitches in the program. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages such as templates that are good integrations, and the short learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and reach higher conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty helpful for internet-exposed entrepreneurs that are less. I am pretty certain that for the vast majority of prospective users, the page builder provides enough option. If you are looking first and foremost for an sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. It has not attained its popularity on promises, and that is why I’m giving it 4/5 celebrities.
