What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just three years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complex advertising technology, called sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but marketing adventures. He played around with email marketing for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Expert Secrets that his lovers rave about and that guide people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Free Training

ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team create funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as developing funnels would normally take months. They had good potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be useful to others.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not know you and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to guide a web site visitor to the checkout page.

There is a boring method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn many of your visitors . In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. You can speak your customers into purchasing something. In a shop, you could be a little more remote from the visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer till visitors end up at a page.

You’re right if you think this sounds cool –it’s become a huge deal for internet advertising. Russell Brunson did not only get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to save time and energyto do exactly what demands a whole lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Cash

Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making your consumer money. They make it simple to make your accounts, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is pretty easy to pick up everything –it’ll probably take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you require, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it is to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a pretty important feature, and they’ve pulled it off well. It’s an easy to use drag and drop builder, As soon as you become accustomed to it.

A/B testing

Constructed in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the numbers of the traffic you wish to view version A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin that lets you insert ClickFunnels pages. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.

All in one

In general, it is great to get things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.

All this really will save you time and money, resources you would otherwise need to invest on developers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Value

You may be sure that the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp account is really decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Free Training

ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a great job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they would have if they tried to handle funnels another manner.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few areas that need work.

Overpriced?

A drawback is the price. There are two pricing alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a drawback, just another investment in your organization, and like I’ve mentioned, you get a package for it.

Lackluster Customer Support

Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with basic queries, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more advanced features, they will not be quite helpful.

Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator

This is not an objective criticism of their merchandise but I take a small issue with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a marketing for certain. However, from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. When you register for the software, you may attempt to look at the purpose features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.

This means you’ll find yourself buying online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they are more focused on earning quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.

Much of this item is tied to his philosophy and his brand, although Most of us know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when some aspects of the product (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels however more on the community. As you have the capability to customize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use similar designs. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some mistakes. Though this doesn’t happen frequently, there is little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a good deal of money.

It’s also difficult to know if your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t constantly check or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I clone webpages using the HTML printing alternative, barring bandwidth, I also deal with some glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.

I enjoy consistency within my applications, particularly if it’s a business solution.

Too Straightforward

At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which may be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use package of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try out the support , in order you do not have to commit to an expensive program right away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).

Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say so, and that I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 a month. However, it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.

The main differences between an entry level consideration and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the main company, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the complete list of features.

But, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split tests, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature which lets you describe a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the following section of this ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the full official list here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think they’re solid and you get everything you want. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Free Training

A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but unquestionably a one.

If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially enables you to choose what percentages of the traffic you want to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It is a fantastic function and easy to use.

In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the fundamental features were fairly good.

There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into different types of companies, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I take a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.

But are such attributes, or products that are different? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.

Here’s the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per form

You may watch the full list of features, together with complete Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a situation where you can afford to try out Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, simple way of increasing sales, I do not think you would wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can not do without themfor many users, simply StartUp will provide a comprehensive enough bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote special attention to it. In reality, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.

Anyway, there is quite a range of templates with good designs, though as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You might even save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it is rather easy to find them. It is possible to toggle with settings and open from the editor as you can see.

Once your pages start in the editor, you be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a bit more complex than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four main components: sections, columns, rows, and components. Consider these parts as fitting within each other (this article includes a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: elements, columns, and rows go inside of sections. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you may have a row with a single column, or up to four. Elements are the dynamic bits that go within columns and also make your page interactive.

It might sound complex, but it’s rather easy to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box since it’s a part, but when I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.

You can edit by section, row, column, etc, through the side bar. All the details and parts of your webpage can be moved or altered. The editor allows for plenty of customization, but offers control also. You can do all sorts of things–mobile previews, edit colours, text, configurations, and nearly anything you anticipate. If you’re handy with code, you can even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have ) about the builder is how grid-like it’s –you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I don’t believe this is a huge issue and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you can add to your integrations easily. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one you desire and insert it. Clickfunnels Free Training

The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to look at your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the process pretty simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of incorporating and managing integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be a lot of shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling all these integrations is pretty easy–as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re attempting to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations operate and you do not have to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main market is its simplicity of usage –because their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the situation, evaluating ease of usage is really important.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some experience.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve would be just a couple hours max. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it appears to me as if most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.

All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The core features of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or charge processors will require a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can determine by Googling around or visiting the docs center.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it likely will not be enough to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d indicate all potential users enter with some simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience here) will find the maximum use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a businesses.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and those offering B2B services will most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does innovative products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there could be support too. The same goes for people selling content like courses or publications.

Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I do not think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller company, okay with the price tag, and you have to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is adequate, although just for SaaS companies. Their docs page has a series of classes. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be simple. Clickfunnels Free Training

As for the customer assistance, they’ve a chat feature within the dashboard once you log in, but I’m not pleased by it. They’ve been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t need that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when features have not worked when there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, client support representatives were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, a number of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic, when he contacted customer service. It illustrates the point, although it may be a bizarre, improbable scenario.

Overall Support Rating

I would not state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think that the team mostly understand that their services are not simple to use and/or involve tools new to their customers, and they’ve put enough resources in their support to make it adequate. At least questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Maybe most consumers would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the verdict that is overarching? It is fine! It is a legitimate competitor in the marketing program space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: If you want a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with customization skills that are greater, you may want to look into third party choices you’ll be able to connect together. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or any glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let other advantages such as templates, integrations that are strong, and the learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be useful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty sure that for the huge majority of prospective users, the webpage builder offers choice. If you are looking for an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On empty promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
