What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complex advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not just from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played around with email advertising for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Secrets his lovers rave about and that guide people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels Free
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as developing funnels would usually take weeks. However, they soon realized their creation would be useful to other people and had good potential as a commodity.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not understand you personally and turns them into clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures developed to direct a website visitor.
There is a less boring method of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call internet traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn many of your visitors . In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking in to your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. You can speak your customers into purchasing something. In a digital store, you may be a little more remote from the customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your clients’ through principles of psychology. The funnel works step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer till people wind up at a page.
If you feel that sounds cool, you are correct –it’s turned into a massive deal for online advertising. Russell Brunson didn’t only get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to save you time and energy–to do exactly what otherwise requires a lot of competence and/or a range of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money. They make it simple to make your account, put your content up, and start taking payments. Plus, it is rather simple to pick up everything –it’ll likely take you a couple hours to find out a lot of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to replicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a attribute, and they have pulled it off well. It is an easy to use drag and drop builder once you get used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and pick the amounts of your traffic you want to view version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.
You will also find a useful WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels pages. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
In general, it’s good to have things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All of this really will save time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You can be sure that the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp account is really decent. In case you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the full suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Free
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they would have when they tried to handle funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s a number of areas that need work.
A small drawback is the cost. There are only two pricing options, at $97 a month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your business, a drawback, and like I’ve said, you receive a good package for it.
Lackluster Client Support
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with basic queries, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more advanced features, they will not be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This is not an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a small problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a marketing for certain. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to examine the objective features of this software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.
This means you’ll find yourself purchasing online courses, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and posts consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sport cars. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy online marketer stuff.
A lot of this item is tied to his philosophy and his own brand, although we all know the founder is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s hard to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when some aspects of the merchandise (i.e., client service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more on the community. While you’ve got the capability to customize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use designs. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, then you can potentially lose a lot of cash.
In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you always wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I replicate pages using the HTML publishing option barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices change, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I like consistency within my software if it’s a business alternative.
Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with : it is too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be more economical upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the service, so at least you don’t have to commit to a costly plan right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say , and I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 per month. However, it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.
But, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality which lets you describe a product as a one time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To outline the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official list here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I believe they’re strong and you get everything you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Free
A/B split testing is definitely, although a smaller feature a one.
If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the copy, the split test essentially enables you to choose what percentages of your traffic that you want to view per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It is a fantastic function and easy to use.
In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for other settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the fundamental features were fairly great.
There are a number of kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different types of companies, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The chief goal of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate system easier and more efficient.
But are such attributes, or separate products? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here is the Complete list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You may view the complete list of features, together with Full Suite features, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to manage to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, simple way of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can not do without themfor most users, just StartUp will offer a thorough adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wanted to devote special attention. In reality, I think a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it turned into a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there is rather an array of templates with good layouts, though as you may expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You might also save certain templates and create personal page templates, and it’s rather easy to see them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with fundamental settings.
When your pages start from the editor, you will essentially be working using a drag and drop builder. It is a bit more complex than some other mild page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor uses a page structure with four main components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting within each other (this informative article includes a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: elements, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns move indoors sections, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive to its customers and go columns.
It may sound complex, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box because it’s a section, but if I was hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but do not have ) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I do not believe this is a massive problem and the builder provides you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I like the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few notable partners you can add to your integrations. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they will come up. It, simply click the one you desire and insert it. Clickfunnels Free
The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you may have to look at your third party program’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward way of adding and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each of these integrations is pretty simple –so long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate smoothly and you don’t need to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of usage –as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I would say the learning curve could be just a few hours maximum. If you’re really behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned in the critique.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it seems to me like most questions must be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it’s things you can determine by Googling about or seeing the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely will not be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites alternative and customizability with ease, and while I would indicate all potential users enter with some simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience ) will find the most use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those that offer B2B services will probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does nicely with those offering more independent ventures or creative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these businesses: for example, if you are a gentleman, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there would be support too. The same holds for individuals selling content like publications or classes.
Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price , and you have to make your traffic work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is nevertheless sufficient, although only for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a collection of categories, each with their own posts. It may be easy, however content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Free
As after you log in for the direct customer service, they’ve a feature within the dashboard, but I’m not pleased with it. They’ve generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing question, they required three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when attributes haven’t worked as promised or when there were weird site malfunctions, client support representatives were allegedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. When he contacted customer support, he discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic. It may be a scenario that is improbable, but it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team largely understand that their solutions are not absolutely simple to use and/or demand tools fresh for their users, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least basic questions will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Perhaps users, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets a minimum which makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
So, what’s the conclusion? It’s fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you may want to look into third party options you’ll be able to connect together If you want a more answer to your advertising needs with higher customization abilities. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives such as integrations that are solid, the learning curve, and templates that are good.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and attain conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are significantly less. I am pretty sure that for the vast majority of potential users, enough choice is offered by the webpage builder. If you are looking first and foremost for an sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not attained its popularity on empty promises, and that’s why I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
