What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complicated advertising technology, called sales funnels (more about those in a second).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not only from ClickFunnels, but advertising experiences. He played with email marketing for some time, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Expert Secrets that his fans rave that direct and about people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website Clickfunnels For Nonprofits

ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. But they had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be useful to others.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes people who don’t know you personally and turns them into clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps designed to direct a website visitor.

There is a method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you telephone web traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into clients. In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. At a store, you can talk your customers. In a shop that is digital, you may be a little more remote from your customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your clients’ . The funnel functions step-by-step, draw visitors in closer and closer till visitors end up in a page.

You are correct, if you think this sounds cool –it has become a massive bargain for online advertising. Russell Brunson did get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it as well.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energy–to do what requires a whole lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

One of the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making your consumer money. They make it quite easy to produce your account, put up your content, and start taking payments. Plus, it is pretty easy to select everything up–it’ll probably take you a few hours to find out most of what you require, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature, and they have pulled it off nicely. It’s an builder, As soon as you become accustomed to it.

A/B analyzing

Constructed in A/B testing is great too. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the amounts of the traffic that you wish to see version A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a WordPress plugin that allows you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.

All in one

In general, it’s good to have things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.

All this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Worth

You can be sure the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels For Nonprofits

ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have if they attempted to manage funnels another manner.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few areas that require work.

A little drawback is the cost. There are two options, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t another investment in your business a massive drawback, and like I have mentioned, you get a fantastic package for this.

Lackluster Client Service

Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental questions, but if you ask them more difficult things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be quite helpful.

Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Founder

This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but I take a slight problem with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a fantastic advertising for certain. But from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to look at the objective features of this software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.

This means you will find yourself buying online courses, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and posts consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sport cars. Though these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.

A lot of this product is tied to his brand and his philosophy, although we all know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when some aspects of their merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels but more on the neighborhood. While you have the capability to customize broadly within ClickFunnels, many people use layouts. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some mistakes or will return. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a couple of hours, then you can potentially lose a lot of money.

In addition, it is hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you always check or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I replicate webpages using the HTML publishing option barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.

I like consistency in my software if it’s a business solution.

Too Straightforward

At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be cheaper upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use package of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try out the service, in order you don’t need to commit to a costly program straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some might say so, and I could see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 a month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly great job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.

The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.

However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that allows you describe a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Full Package, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official record here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe that they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels For Nonprofits

A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but unquestionably a one.

If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the split test basically lets you choose what percentages of your visitors you want to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It is easy to use and a function.

I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the basic features were fairly good.

There are a number of kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of businesses, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I take a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Total Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The chief objective of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.

But are products, or such attributes? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a little confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.

Here’s the full list of all StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Mail integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase webpages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per form

You can view the full list of features, along with Full Package features, here. If you’re in a position where you can manage to try out Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I do not think you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive benefit that you can not do without themfor many users, simply StartUp will provide a thorough adequate bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ most important feature, so I wished to devote attention to it. In fact, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this particular landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s rather a range of templates with good layouts, though as you may expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel type, so poking around isn’t too hard.

You can also save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it is pretty easy to find them. As you can see, you open from the editor and can toggle with settings.

When your pages start from the editor, you will basically be working with a drag and drop builder. It is a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.

The editor utilizes a page structure with four main parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these components as fitting within each other (this informative article includes a helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and components go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns move indoors sections, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you may have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive to its visitors and go columns.

It might sound complicated, but it is pretty simple to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box because it is a part, but when I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.

You could also edit by section, row, column, and so on, through the side bar. All of the details and parts of your webpage can be altered or moved. The template editor allows for lots of customization, but provides good control also. You can do a variety of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, settings, and just about anything you anticipate. If you’re handy with code, then you can even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A small criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is how grid-like it’s –you have to work within these rows and columns. I personally don’t think this is a huge issue and the builder provides you enough control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different types of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has quite a few partners you may add to your integrations readily. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or just click the search bar, and they will come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click the one. Clickfunnels For Nonprofits

The process for managing integrations can also be straightforward, though you may need to check your third party software’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple method of incorporating and handling integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling all of these integrations is pretty simple –so long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate and you do not have to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of usage –as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is pretty significant.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I would say the learning curve could be only a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson, if you are really behind.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it appears to me as if most questions must be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or payment processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it is nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it’s things you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs centre.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely will not be enough to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all potential users enter with a few simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience ) will find the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a businesses more than others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and those that offer B2B services would most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does ventures that are individual or products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good method of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be support also. The same holds for people selling content such as books or courses.

Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you should determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price , and you have to produce your traffic work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to maintain a much better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place which is composed of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is still adequate, although just for SaaS companies. Their page has a collection of classes, each with their own articles. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be easy. Clickfunnels For Nonprofits

As once you log in for the customer service that is immediate, they have a feature inside the dashboard, but I’m not overly delighted by it. They have generally been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not need that kind of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t provide that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. Notably, in cases when features have not worked when there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, customer support representatives were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. He found that they were unhelpful and apathetic After he contacted customer service. It illustrates the point, although it might be a situation.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think the team understand that their services are not perfectly easy to use and/or involve tools new to their customers, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Most users, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it largely meets a minimum which makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

Therefore, what’s the verdict? It’s good! It is a legitimate competitor in the advertising software area and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: Should you want a more hands-on answer to your marketing needs with higher customization abilities, you may want to look. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let other positives such as templates, integrations that are strong, and the short learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for less internet-exposed entrepreneurs. I’m pretty sure that for the vast majority of prospective users, enough option is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking for an sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. After all, it has not reached its popularity on empty promises, and that I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
