What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just three years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using differently complex marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played with email marketing for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two books that his lovers rave that direct and about people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website Clickfunnels For E-Commerce

ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would normally take months. They soon realized their production would be useful to others and had great potential as a product.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes individuals who do not understand you and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a web site visitor to the checkout page.

There’s a way of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or website traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into customers. In a physical shop, that’s like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can speak your clients. In a shop, you could be a little more distant from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, draw traffic in closer and closer until visitors wind up in a payment page.

You are right, if you think this sounds cool –it has turned into a huge deal for advertising. Russell Brunson didn’t only become rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energy–to do what requires a whole lot of competence and/or an array of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Cash

One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making your consumer money. They make it put your content up, quite simple to make your account, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it’s rather simple to pick everything up–it’ll probably take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are very useful here. I enjoy how easy it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a fairly important feature, and they have pulled it off well. It is an builder, once you become used to it.

A/B testing

Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and pick the numbers of your traffic you want to see version A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

In general, it’s great to have things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.

All this really will save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to invest on developers, CSShosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Value

You may rest assured the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels For E-Commerce

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a great job of packaging good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they would have if they attempted to manage funnels another manner.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s quite a few areas that require work.

A drawback is the price. There are two pricing alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your organization, a drawback, and like I’ve said, you get a good package for this.

Lackluster Customer Support

Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental questions, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they will not be quite beneficial.

Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Creator

This is not an objective criticism of the merchandise but I take a slight problem with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype. They have a marketing for sure. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you register for the software, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of this software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.

This means you will end up purchasing online courses, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and most posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Although these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick cash rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of trainers and experts, and other spammy internet marketer stuff.

Much of this item is tied into his philosophy and his brand, although Most of us know the creator is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it seems like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s difficult to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some elements of their product (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels however more on the community. As you have the capability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use layouts. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will go down. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or forcing traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.

In addition, it is hard to know when your pages are working or not, if you don’t always check or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I replicate pages using the HTML publishing alternative barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etcand it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.

I like consistency in my applications if it’s a business solution.

Too Simple

Finally, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches which can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test out the support , in order you don’t need to commit to a costly program straight away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).

Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say so, and I could see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. But it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty great job. I consider it a good investment.

The main differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the main company, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the complete list of features.

However, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you characterize a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the complete official record here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I think that they’re solid and you get whatever you want. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels For E-Commerce

A/B split testing is definitely, although a feature a one.

If you replicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the split test essentially enables you to choose what percentages of your traffic you want to see per page, allowing you test conversion rates very handily. It’s a fantastic function and easy to use.

In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the basic features were pretty good.

There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented into different types of companies, and also you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I’ll only take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The chief objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.

However, are such features, or products that are different? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.

Here is the full list of all StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase pages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per type

You can watch the full list of features, along with complete Package features, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to manage to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing earnings, I do not believe you’d wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ most important attribute, so I wanted to devote attention. In fact, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it turned into a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.

Anyway, there’s quite a range of templates with great layouts, however as you may expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, so poking around is not too hard.

You might also save certain templates and also make personal page templates, and it is pretty simple to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with basic settings and open from the editor.

Once your pages start in the editor, you will basically be working using a drop and drag builder. It is a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it’s still easy to use.

The editor uses a page structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting inside each other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the lively bits that also make your page interactive and go columns.

It might sound complex, but it is rather simple to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box since it’s a section, but when I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.

You can edit by section, row, column, and so on, via the side bar. All the small details and parts of your page can be moved or altered. The editor allows for lots of customization, but provides good control . You can do all sorts of things–mobile previews, edit colors, text, configurations, and just about anything you expect. If you are handy with code, you may also add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A small criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within these rows and columns. Personally, I do not think this is a huge problem and the builder gives you enough control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you may add to your integrations easily. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they will come up. It, just click on the one you want and insert it. Clickfunnels For E-Commerce

The process for handling integrations is also simple, though you might need to look at your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the process pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple way of adding and handling integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a store unless you are using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling all these integrations is pretty easy–so long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re trying to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations usually run and you don’t have to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of usage –as their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which enable the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is pretty significant.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would say that the learning curve would be just a few hours maximum. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned earlier in the review of Russell Brunson.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it seems to me as if most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core features of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or payment processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to figure out by Googling about or seeing the docs center.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it likely won’t be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I would indicate all prospective users input with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience here) will get the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those offering B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does ventures that are individual or creative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these industries: for example, if you are a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there could be good support too. The same holds for individuals selling content such as courses or books.

Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller business, alright with the price , and you need to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to maintain a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is only for SaaS companies, but nevertheless sufficient. Their docs page has a collection of categories. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it might be simple. Clickfunnels For E-Commerce

As after you log in for the immediate customer service, they’ve a feature within the dashboard, but I am not delighted with it. They’ve been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t need that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In cases when attributes have not worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, client support reps were supposedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. After he contacted customer service, he found that they were unhelpful. It might be a situation that is unlikely, however it illustrates the point.

Total Support Rating

I would not say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think that the team understand that their services are not easy to use and/or involve tools fresh for their customers, and they have put resources in their support to make it decent. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Perhaps users would not say ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it largely meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the verdict that is overarching? It’s good! It is a legitimate competitor in the marketing program space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a few drawbacks are: Should you want a more hands-on answer to your marketing needs with customization skills that are greater, you may want to look. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives such as integrations that are solid, the learning curve, and templates that are good.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be helpful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I’m pretty certain that for the huge majority of users, the webpage builder offers option. If you are looking to get a simple but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It hasn’t reached its popularity on promises, and that is why I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
