During this ClickFunnels Review, we go deep into the good and poor to determine whether ClickFunnels is a small business advertising software worth trying, or just overhyped. Clickfunnels For Authors
ClickFunnels has made a fairly major name for itself since it began, becoming one of the largest advertising SaaS (Software as a Service) companies around. I suppose it’s no surprise–ClickFunnels is about earning its users cash. More importantly, it’s about giving software which helps them turn their own site visitors to companies. It’s no wonder ClickFunnels has grown in such a brief time period.
Does that mean it’s worth it, although there is not any denying it is popular? How much can we trust the crowd on this one? In this ClickFunnels review, I will undergo the gist of ClickFunnels–exactly what it is, the positives and the pitfalls, the characteristics, customer assistance, and so on. I’m basing this review on my experience using ClickFunnels’ StartUp program, which comes with the ClickFunnels features and plenty of bells and whistles. I provide a nod towards other testimonials I have seen, as not every user and I will agree on the last conclusion.
Regardless of whether you choose to use it or not, it is a significant participant anyone in e-commerce and internet marketing should be familiar with. What is our rating, before you jump in? I will put it in a strong 4 stars. With a few drawbacks, it’s definitely good. Keep reading to find out why!

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complex advertising technologies, called sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played with email advertising for some time, and started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Secrets that his lovers rave about and that direct people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels For Authors
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They soon realized their production would be helpful to others and had good potential as a product.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not know you personally and turns them to customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures developed to direct a website visitor.
There is a method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone internet traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn many of your visitors into customers. In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking in to your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. You can speak your customers. In a shop, you could be a little more distant from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer till people wind up in a payment page.
You’re right, if you feel this sounds cool –it has become a huge bargain for advertising. Russell Brunson did not just get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it as well.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energyto do what otherwise demands a lot of technological proficiency and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making the user money. They make it put your content up simple to make your accounts, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is rather simple to pick up everything –it’ll likely take you a few hours to figure out most of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how simple it is to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a feature, and they’ve pulled it off well. It is an easy to use drag and drop builder once you get used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of the visitors that you wish to view variant A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.
You will also find a handy WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
Overall, it is good to get things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You can be sure the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp account is really decent. If you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels For Authors
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they would have when they attempted to handle funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few places that require work.
A small drawback is the price. There are only two pricing alternatives, at either $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t like I have mentioned another investment in your business, and a drawback, you get a fantastic package for it.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with fundamental queries, but if you inquire harder things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a small problem with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a marketing. However, from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to look at the purpose features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This means you’ll end up buying online courses, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and articles consists of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they’re more focused on making quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of trainers and specialists, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.
So much of the item is tied to his philosophy and his brand, although we know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it seems to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s difficult to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when a few elements of their merchandise (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. As you’ve got the capability to personalize within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use designs. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y seems floating about. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will go down. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.
It’s also difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always check or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I replicate pages using the HTML printing option, barring uptime, I also deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency within my software if it is a business solution.
Finally, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with : it is too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that may be more economical upfront and yield more control over managing specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use package of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try the service, so at least you do not have to commit to a costly program right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some would say , and that I could see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. However, it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly great job. I consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the main service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the complete list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you describe a product as a one-time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the following section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can watch the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all good examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels For Authors
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a smaller feature a one.
If you duplicate a page and make changes to the backup, the split test basically enables you to select what percentages of the visitors you need to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s very simple to use and a great function.
In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for other settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the basic features were fairly great.
There are quite a few kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented into several kinds of businesses, and also you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will just take a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is just three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it is a little more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.
But are separate products, or such features? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to market a iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a little confusing and eliminates the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here is the Complete list of all StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per form
You may watch the complete list of features, together with Full Suite features, here. If you are in a position where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will provide a thorough enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wanted to devote special attention to it. In fact, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is quite a range of templates with good designs, however as you can expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You might even save certain templates and also create own page templates, and it’s rather easy to see them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with basic settings.
You will essentially be working with a drag and drop builder When your pages start from the editor. It’s a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four main parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Think of these parts as fitting within every other (this article includes a helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and components go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have around four, or a row with one column. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive to its customers and go columns.
It might sound complex, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box since it’s a part, but if I was hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you have to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I do not think this is a massive issue and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I like the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different kinds of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few notable partners you can add to your integrations. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one. Clickfunnels For Authors
The process for managing integrations is also simple, though you might have to look at your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few attributes, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple method of adding and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a store unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each these integrations is fairly easy–as long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you’re attempting to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations run and you don’t have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its ease of use–because their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, evaluating ease of usage is really important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say the learning curve could be just a few hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned earlier in the critique of Russell Brunson if you behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me like most questions should be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The center features of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is things you can figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it likely will not be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It unites alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I would suggest all prospective users enter with some simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience ) will get the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those offering B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with people offering more products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be support also. The same holds for people selling content like books or courses.
Of course, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price , and you have to produce your traffic work for you , I doubt you would be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place which consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is just for SaaS companies, but nevertheless adequate. Their page has a collection of classes. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it might be easy. Clickfunnels For Authors
As once you log in for the customer service that is direct, they have a chat feature within the dashboard, but I am not too delighted with it. They have been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they required three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t offer that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In instances when attributes haven’t worked when there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer service reps were supposedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic when he contacted customer service. It may be a scenario that is unlikely, however it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel the team understand that their solutions are not simple to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they’ve put enough resources in their support to make it decent. At least queries will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Most users would not state ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it largely meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the verdict that is overarching? It is fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate competitor in the marketing program space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: Should you want a more answer to your advertising needs with customization skills that are higher, you might want to look into third party options you’ll be able to tie together. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let other advantages like solid integrations the learning curve, and templates that are good.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be pretty useful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are significantly less. I am pretty certain that for the vast majority of users, the page builder provides enough choice. If you’re looking to get an easy but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that’s why I am giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
