What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his invention, and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played around with email marketing for a while, and began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets that his lovers rave about and that guide people through his marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Clickfunnels For $49
ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would normally take weeks. They soon realized their production would be helpful to other people and had good potential as a product.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes people who do not understand you personally and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to guide a website visitor.
There is a way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a physical store, that’s like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can talk your customers. In a shop that is digital, you could be a little more remote from the visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel works incremental, bring traffic in closer and closer till visitors wind up at a payment page.
You are right if you think that sounds cool –it has become a massive bargain for internet marketing. Russell Brunson did get rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save you time and energy–to do exactly what otherwise demands a lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money for the user. They make it put your content up very simple to produce your accounts, and begin taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty easy to select everything up–it will likely take you a few hours to find out most of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how simple it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a attribute that is fairly important, and they have pulled it off nicely. It is an simple to use drag and drop builder As soon as you get used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and choose the amounts of your visitors you want to see version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to manage.
You will also find a WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
Overall, it is great to get things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All of this really does save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to invest on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. If you have more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the complete package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels For $49
ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they’d have if they attempted to handle funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of areas that require work.
A little drawback is the cost. There are just two options, at $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t another investment in your business a massive drawback, and like I have mentioned, you get a fantastic package for it.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic questions, but if you inquire harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they will not be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but I take a slight issue with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a advertising for sure. But from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. When you register for the software, you may attempt to examine the objective features of the software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This usually means you will end up buying online classes, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and articles is composed of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they made. Although these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they are more focused on earning quick money rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.
Most of us know the founder is a marketing magician, but much of this item is tied into his own brand and his philosophy. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when some aspects of the merchandise (i.e., client service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more on the community. While you have the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a couple of hours, then you may potentially lose a lot of money.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I replicate webpages using the HTML printing option, barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency in my software, particularly if it’s a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too pricey for its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches which can be more economical upfront and yield more control over handling certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the service, so at least you do not need to commit to an expensive program right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some would say , and that I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. However, it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly great job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the full list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that allows you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and custom domains; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the following section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to watch the complete official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I think that they’re strong and you get everything you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels For $49
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a smaller feature a one.
If you duplicate a webpage and make changes to the copy, the divide test basically enables you to select what percentages of your visitors that you need to see per page, allowing you test conversion rates very handily. It’s a great function and quite easy to use.
In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for other settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the basic features were fairly good.
There are quite a few types of available pre-made funnels, oriented into several kinds of businesses, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I’ll just have a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Full Suite is just three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.
However, are such attributes, or different products? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels trying to market a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but perhaps I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Complete Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split tests
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You can watch the complete list of features, along with Full Suite features, here. If you’re in a situation where you are able to manage to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I do not believe you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can’t do without themfor most users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote attention. In fact, I think a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it turned into a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is quite a range of templates with good layouts, however as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You can also save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it is pretty easy to see them. As you can see, you open from the editor and can toggle with fundamental settings.
Once your pages open from the editor, you will essentially be working with a drag and drop builder. It is a bit more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still easy to use.
The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and components. Consider these components as fitting inside every other (this article includes a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and components go inside of sections. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you can have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive to its visitors and go columns.
It may sound complex, but it is pretty simple to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box because it’s a section, however if I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A small criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is how grid-like it is–you need to work within those columns and rows. I personally don’t think this is a huge problem and the builder provides you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you can enhance your integrations. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one. Clickfunnels For $49
The procedure for handling integrations can also be straightforward, though you might have to check your third party software’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process pretty simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of incorporating and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a store unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all of these integrations is pretty simple –so long as you are all set up with whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations run and you do not need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its ease of usage –as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced save time and money. That being the situation, assessing ease of usage is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I would say that the learning curve could be just a few hours max. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me like most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or charge processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it is nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it is things you can determine by Googling around or visiting the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it likely won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It unites alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all potential users input with a few basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience here) will find the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and those offering B2B services will most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with those offering more products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good way of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there would be good support also. The same goes for people selling content like books or classes.
Obviously, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I do not believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller company, okay with the price tag, and you need to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is only for SaaS companies, but adequate. Their docs page has a collection of categories. It may be simple, but it isn’t too shabby. Clickfunnels For $49
As for the immediate customer assistance, they have a feature within the dashboard once you log into, but I’m not too delighted by it. They have generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing question, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not need that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In cases when features have not worked when there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, customer support representatives were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic, when he contacted customer support. It may be a scenario that is unlikely, but it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think the team largely understand that their services are not easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their customers, and they have put enough resources in their support to make it adequate. At least questions will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Most users, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it mostly meets a bare minimum which makes it. Within this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate contender in the advertising program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: you may want to look, If you want a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service agents, or some glitches in the program. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone advantages such as integrations that are solid, the brief learning curve, and templates that are superior.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty useful for internet-exposed entrepreneurs that are less. I’m pretty sure that for the huge majority of prospective users, enough choice is offered by the page builder. If you’re looking for a simple but powerful sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On empty promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that is why I am giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
