If you’re in touch with the world of marketing, you have probably at least heard of ClickFunnels. During this ClickFunnels Reviewwe go to establish whether ClickFunnels is a valid business advertising software worth trying, or simply overhyped. Clickfunnels Features
ClickFunnels has made a fairly major name for itself because it began, getting one of the largest advertising SaaS (Software as a Service) businesses round. I suppose it’s no surprise–ClickFunnels is all about making its users cash. Importantly, it’s about giving businesses software which helps them turn their site visitors. It is no wonder ClickFunnels has grown in such a short period of time.
Does that mean it’s well worth it, although there is not any denying it is popular? Just how much can we hope the audience with this one? During this ClickFunnels review, I will undergo the gist of ClickFunnels–exactly what it is, the positives and the negatives, the characteristics, customer assistance, and so forth. I’m basing this review on my own experience with ClickFunnels’ StartUp program, which comes with the ClickFunnels attributes and tons of bells and whistles. I provide a nod towards other testimonials I have noticed, as not every user and I will agree about the last conclusion.
Regardless of whether you choose to use it or not, it’s an important player anybody in e-commerce and internet advertising should be familiar with. What’s our rating, before you leap in? I will put it in a strong 4 stars. With some drawbacks, it’s definitely good. Keep reading to learn why!

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using differently complex advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other advertising experiences. He played with email advertising for some time, and began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets his lovers rave about and that guide people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Clickfunnels Features
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would usually take months. They had good potential as a product and soon realized their production would be helpful to others.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes people who don’t know you personally and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a web site visitor.
There’s a method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or site traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a physical shop, that is like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. You can speak your customers into buying something. In a digital shop, you could be a little more distant from your customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, draw visitors in closer and closer till visitors wind up at a page.
You are correct, if you feel this sounds cool –it’s become a massive bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson did get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energy–to do what otherwise requires a lot of proficiency and/or a range of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money for the user. They make it put your content up easy to produce your account, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is rather simple to pick up everything –it will probably take you a few hours to figure out most of what you need, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how simple it is to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a feature, and they’ve pulled it off well. As soon as you become used to it, it is an easy to use drag and drop builder.
Built in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of the visitors you want to see variant A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to manage.
You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin that lets you insert ClickFunnels pages. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.
All in 1
In general, it’s great to have things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise have to spend on developers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You can be sure the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Features
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they’d have when they tried to manage funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few areas that require work.
A small drawback is the cost. There are just two options, at $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your organization a drawback, and like I have mentioned, you receive a good package for it.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic questions, but if you inquire more difficult things, particularly about more innovative features, they won’t be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Creator
This is not an objective criticism of the product but that I take a slight problem with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype. They’ve a fantastic marketing for certain. But from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you register for the applications, you may attempt to look at the objective features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This means you’ll end up purchasing online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and most posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick money instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.
So much of this item is tied to his philosophy and his own brand, although we all know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult to not get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some elements of the product (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more on the neighborhood. While you’ve got the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, many men and women use similar designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large amount of ClickFunnel-y seems floating about. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some errors. Though this really doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a couple of hours, you can potentially lose a lot of money.
In addition, it is difficult to know if your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always check or wait till you hear from angry customers. Barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches when I replicate webpages using the HTML printing alternative.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency in my applications, especially if it is a business solution.
At length, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with : it is too easy, and too pricey for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which may be more economical upfront and give more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the service, so at least you do not have to commit to an expensive plan straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and that I could see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 per month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a fairly good job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.
But, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature which lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domain names; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To outline the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to watch the full official list .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think that they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Features
A/B split testing is a feature, but definitely a one.
If you replicate a page and make changes to the copy, the split test essentially enables you to select what percentages of the traffic that you want to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It is easy to use and a function.
In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for different settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to use, I believed the basic features were pretty great.
There are quite a few kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several types of businesses, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will just take a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is just three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complicated. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.
But are separate products, or these features? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- boundless contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per form
You may watch the full list of features, together with Full Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a situation where you can afford to try Etison for a little and you absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing sales, I don’t think you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wanted to devote special attention. In fact, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely with this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s rather a range of templates with good designs, though as you can expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You might also save certain templates and make own page templates, and it’s rather easy to see them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings that are basic and open from the editor.
Once you start your pages in the editor, you will basically be working using a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complex than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four main components: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Consider these parts as fitting within every other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns move inside sections, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that go within columns and make your page interactive.
It may sound complicated, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it’s a part, however if I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A small criticism I’ve heard (but do not have ) on the builder is how grid-like it’s –you have to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I don’t think this is a massive issue and the builder provides you enough control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
Overall, I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may enhance your integrations. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or just click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, simply click on the one. Clickfunnels Features
The procedure for managing integrations can also be straightforward, though you may need to look at your third party program’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few attributes, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple way of incorporating and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations usually run smoothly and you don’t need to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main market is its simplicity of use–as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, assessing ease of usage is really significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I would say that the learning curve could be only a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the critique of Russell Brunson, if you behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most questions should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or payment processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is things you’ll be able to determine by Googling around or visiting the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably will not be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I would indicate all potential users enter with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to some companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those offering B2B services will probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with those offering more products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good method of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there would be good support too. The same goes for people selling content such as classes or books.
Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller business, okay with the price tag, and you need to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area that consists of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is sufficient, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their page includes a collection of classes, each with their own posts. It might be simple, but it isn’t too shabby. Clickfunnels Features
As for the customer assistance, they have a chat feature within the dashboard after you log in, but I am not too delighted with it. They’ve been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they required three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t require that kind of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In cases when features have not worked if there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, client support representatives were allegedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic, After he contacted customer support. It might be a scenario that is unlikely, but it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel that the team mostly understand that their services are not absolutely easy to use and/or involve tools new for their users, and they’ve put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least questions will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Most users, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a bare minimum that makes it at least great enough. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the conclusion that is overarching? It’s fine! It is a legitimate competitor in the advertising program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: you may want to check into third party options you can connect together, If you need a more solution to your marketing needs with greater customization abilities. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone positives such as superior templates, integrations that are solid, and the brief learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and reach higher conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be helpful for internet-exposed entrepreneurs that are less. I am pretty sure that for the majority of users, enough choice is offered by the page builder. If you’re looking first and foremost to get a simple but solid sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. In the end, it hasn’t reached its popularity on empty promises, and that I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
