What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complex marketing technologies, called sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played around with email marketing for some time, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Expert Secrets that his lovers rave about and that guide people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website Clickfunnels Favicon

ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would normally take months. But they had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be useful to other people.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes people who do not know you personally and turns them into clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures designed to guide a web site visitor to the checkout page.

There is a method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into customers. In a physical store, that is like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the store without purchasing anything. In a physical store, you can talk your clients into purchasing something. In a store, you may be a little more remote from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, draw visitors in closer and closer till visitors wind up at a payment page.

You’re right, if you think this sounds cool –it has turned into a massive deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did become rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energyto do exactly what otherwise demands a lot of proficiency and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money. They make it put your content up, easy to make your accounts, and begin taking payments. Plus, it’s rather simple to select up everything –it will likely take you a few hours to figure out most of what you need, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are very useful here. I like how easy it is to replicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a pretty important feature, and they have pulled it off nicely. It is an builder, once you get accustomed to it.

A/B testing

Built in A/B testing is excellent. All you have to do is duplicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the numbers of the traffic that you wish to see variant A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin that allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

Overall, it is great to get things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.

All this really does save time and money, resources you would otherwise need to spend on developers, CSShosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Value

You can be sure that the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp account is really decent. In case you have over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the full package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Favicon

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they’d have if they tried to handle funnels another manner.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few places that require work.

A small drawback is the price. There are two alternatives, at $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t another investment in your organization a drawback, and like I have mentioned, you receive a good package for this.

Lackluster Customer Service

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental queries, but if you ask them more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they will not be very beneficial.

Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Creator

This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a slight issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They have a marketing. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. When you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to look at the objective features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.

This usually means you’ll end up buying online classes, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and posts consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they made. Though these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more concentrated on making quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, and other spammy online marketer stuff.

So much of this item is tied into his philosophy and his brand, although we know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s hard to not get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some elements of their merchandise (i.e., client service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more about the community. As you’ve got the capability to personalize within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use similar designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some mistakes. Though this doesn’t happen frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a good deal of money.

In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always wait or wait until you hear from angry customers. Barring uptime, I also deal with a few glitches when I clone pages using the HTML publishing alternative.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.

I enjoy consistency within my applications, particularly if it is a business solution.

Too Straightforward

At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with : it is too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that may be cheaper upfront and give more control over managing specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try out the support , in order you don’t have to commit to a costly program right away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 a month. But it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. I consider it a good investment.

The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the full list of features.

But, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality which lets you describe a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and custom domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of this ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the full official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I think they’re solid and you get everything you need. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Favicon

A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a smaller feature a one.

If you duplicate a page and make changes to the copy, the split test essentially lets you choose what percentages of the traffic that you want to view per page, letting you examine conversion rates very handily. It is quite simple to use and a great function.

I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for other settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the fundamental features were pretty good.

There are a number of kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of businesses, and you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complex. The main goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.

However, are these attributes, or products? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to market an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Complete Suite a bit perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.

Here’s the full list of StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Mail integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase webpages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per type

You may view the full list of features, together with Full Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to manage to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely require an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I do not believe you would wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can’t do without themfor most users, just StartUp will provide a thorough enough package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is probably ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote exclusive attention to it. In fact, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it being a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.

Anyhow, there is quite a range of templates with great designs, however as you can expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You can also save certain templates and create personal page templates, and it’s rather simple to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are fundamental and open from the editor.

Once your pages start from the editor, you be working using a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and components. Consider these parts as fitting within every other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: components, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns especially go into rows. This way you may have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the lively bits that make your page interactive to its customers and go columns.

It might sound complicated, but it is pretty simple to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it’s a part, however when I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.

You can edit by section, row, column, and so on, through the side bar. Parts of your webpage and all the details can be altered or moved. The template editor allows for plenty of customization, but offers good control also. You can do all sorts of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, settings, and nearly anything you expect. If you’re handy with code, then you may even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have ) about the builder is how grid-like it’s –you need to work within these rows and columns. Personally, I don’t think this is a massive issue and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other advertising and marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For instance, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has quite a few noteworthy partners you can enhance your integrations. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they will come up. It, just click on the one. Clickfunnels Favicon

The procedure for handling integrations is also straightforward, though you may have to check your third party software’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll discover the procedure straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple method of incorporating and managing integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section separate from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be a lot of shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing all these integrations is pretty simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you’re attempting to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations operate and you do not need to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its ease of use–because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, evaluating ease of usage is pretty important.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I would say the learning curve would be just a couple hours max. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the critique of Russell Brunson if you behind.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me like most questions should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.

All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or charge processors will require a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or seeing the docs center.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably will not be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all potential users input with some simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience here) will find the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to some businesses.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those offering B2B services will probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does independent ventures or products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these industries: for instance, if you’re a gentleman, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good method of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there could be great support also. The same holds for individuals selling content like publications or classes.

Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you need to produce your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to maintain a much better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place that is composed of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is only for SaaS companies, but sufficient. Their page has a collection of classes. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it might be easy. Clickfunnels Favicon

As the immediate customer service, they’ve a chat feature inside the dashboard once you log in for, but I’m not too pleased with it. They have generally been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing question, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when features haven’t worked when there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, customer service representatives were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, a number of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. When he contacted customer support, he found that they were unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it may be a situation.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their customers, and they’ve put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least basic queries will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Most users would not state ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it meets. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

So, what’s the verdict? It’s fine! It is a legitimate contender in the marketing program area and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: you may want to check, Should you want a more answer to your marketing needs with greater customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone additional advantages like templates, integrations that are solid, and the short learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and reach conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite helpful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I’m pretty certain that for the majority of users, the webpage builder provides enough option. If you are looking for an easy but solid sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. In the end, it has not reached its popularity on promises, and that is why I’m giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
