ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market things online using differently complicated advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his invention, and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played around with email marketing for some time, and began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets his lovers rave that guide and about people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels Example
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his team produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as developing funnels would normally take weeks. They soon realized their creation would be useful to other people and had great potential as a commodity.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes individuals who do not know you and turns them into clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures developed to guide a web site visitor to the checkout page.
There is a method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. You can speak your clients into buying something. In a shop that is digital, you may be a bit more remote from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your clients’ . The funnel works incremental, bring traffic in closer and closer till people end up at a payment page.
You are correct, if you feel that sounds cool –it’s become a massive bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson did get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energy–to do exactly what otherwise demands a lot of competence and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making your user money. They make it put your content up very easy to make your accounts, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s rather simple to select everything up–it will probably take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it’s to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature that is fairly important, and they’ve pulled it. As soon as you get accustomed to it, it’s an easy to use drag and drop builder.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is duplicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the numbers of the visitors that you want to see version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to manage.
You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
Overall, it’s great to have things so concentrated: I will build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All this really will save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You may be sure the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. In case you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the complete package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Example
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they’d have when they tried to handle funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few places that need work.
A drawback is the price. There are just two alternatives, at either $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your business, a drawback, and like I’ve said, you receive a package for this.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic queries, but if you ask them more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they will not be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but I take a slight issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a marketing. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to examine the objective features of the software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This means you will end up buying online courses, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and posts consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sports cars. Although these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick money rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online classes, saturation of trainers and experts, and other spammy online marketer stuff.
So much of the item is tied to his own brand and his doctrine, although we all know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few aspects of their product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you have the capability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many men and women use designs. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems floating around. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some errors or will go down. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a lot of cash.
It’s also difficult to know if your pages are functioning or not, unless you always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I replicate webpages using the HTML printing alternative barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I like consistency within my software, particularly if it is a business solution.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too pricey because of its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that can be more economical upfront and yield more control over handling certain details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use package of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the service, in order you don’t need to commit to an expensive plan straight away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some would say so, and I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 a month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly great job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the complete list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that lets you characterize a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and custom domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Package, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp basically carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the complete official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I think they’re strong and you get whatever you want. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Example
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but unquestionably a one.
If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the split test basically enables you to choose what percentages of the visitors you need to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It’s a fantastic function and quite simple to use.
In addition, I think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be easy to work with, I thought the fundamental features were pretty good.
There are a number of kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of businesses, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.
But are these features, or products? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but maybe I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Complete Suite a bit perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here is the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order pages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per type
You can view the complete list of features, together with complete Suite features, here. If you’re in a position where you can afford to try out Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple way of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you’d find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can’t do without them: for many users, just StartUp will offer a thorough enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wanted to devote attention. In reality, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely for this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s rather a range of templates with great layouts, though as you can expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel type, so poking around is not too hard.
You can even save certain templates and create own page templates, and it is rather easy to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are fundamental and open from the editor.
When your pages open in the editor, you will essentially be working using a drop and drag builder. It is a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor uses a page structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Think of these parts as fitting inside each other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Basically: components, columns, and rows go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have up to four, or a row with one column. Elements are the lively bits that go inside columns and also make your page interactive.
It may sound complicated, but it’s rather easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box because it is a section, however when I was hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have ) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within those rows and columns. I personally do not think this is a huge issue and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For instance, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one you want and add it. Clickfunnels Example
The process for handling integrations can also be straightforward, though you might need to look at your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll discover the process simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part different from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each these integrations is fairly simple –as long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations normally operate smoothly and you do not need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of usage –as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is really significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would say that the learning curve could be only a few hours maximum. If you are actually behind, pick up the books mentioned earlier in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it seems to me as if most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of comprehension, but it is nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it’s stuff you can determine by Googling about or seeing the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it likely won’t be sufficient to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I would suggest all prospective users enter with some simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience ) will find the most use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those that offer B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with people offering more ventures that are individual or innovative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these businesses: for example, if you are a florist, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there could be support also. The same goes for individuals selling content like classes or publications.
Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you need to determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price , and you have to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is just for SaaS companies, but still sufficient. Their docs page includes a series of classes. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it might be simple. Clickfunnels Example
As for the immediate customer service, they’ve a feature inside the dashboard once you log into, but I am not delighted by it. They have been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing question, they required to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not need that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t offer that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in instances when features have not worked if there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, customer service representatives were allegedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. When he contacted customer service, he discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic. It might be a scenario that is unlikely, however it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think the team mostly understand that their services are not simple to use and/or involve tools fresh for their users, and they have put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Perhaps most users, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it meets a bare minimum which makes it. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the overarching conclusion? It is good! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising software space and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: you may want to check into third party choices you’ll be able to tie together, Should you need a more answer to your marketing needs with customization skills. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the software. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages like templates that are good, integrations that are solid, and the learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty useful for significantly less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty certain that for the majority of prospective users, enough option is offered by the webpage builder. If you are looking for an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On empty promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that is why I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
