ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technology, called sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but marketing adventures. He played around with email advertising for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets his lovers rave that direct and about people through his marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Eway
ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would usually take weeks. But they soon realized their production would be useful to other people and had good potential as a commodity.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes people who don’t know you and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to guide a website visitor.
There’s a method of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or site traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn . In a physical shop, that is like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. You can talk your clients. In a shop that is digital, you may be a bit more remote from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel works step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer till people end up at a page.
You’re correct, if you feel this sounds cool –it has turned into a huge deal for online advertising. Russell Brunson did get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save time and energyto do what demands a whole lot of competence and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning the consumer money. They make it quite simple to produce your account, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is pretty simple to pick up everything –it’ll probably take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how easy it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a fairly important feature, and they’ve pulled it. Once you get used to it, it is an builder.
Constructed in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of your traffic you want to see variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to manage.
You will also find a WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active setups.
All in 1
In general, it’s great to have things so centralized: I will construct my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Eway
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they’d have when they attempted to manage funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s a number of areas that need work.
A drawback is the price. There are two options, at $97 a month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a drawback, another investment in your organization, and like I’ve mentioned, you receive a package for it.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic questions, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of their merchandise but I take a small problem with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is hard to escape the hype. They have a great advertising. But from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you sign up for the software, you may attempt to look at the purpose features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This usually means you will find yourself buying online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and articles is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they made. Although these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.
Much of this item is tied into his brand and his philosophy, although we know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it seems like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few elements of their merchandise (i.e., client service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more on the community. While you have the capability to customize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use similar layouts. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y seems floating about. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some mistakes or will go down. Though this really doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a couple of hours, then you can potentially lose a lot of cash.
In addition, it is hard to know if your pages are working or not, unless you always wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. Barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches when I replicate webpages using the HTML printing alternative.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options change, etcand it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I like consistency in my software if it is a business alternative.
Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the service, so at least you don’t need to commit to a costly program straight away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some might say so, and that I could see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. However, it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly great job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the full list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that lets you describe a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp essentially conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to watch the full official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I think they’re solid and you get everything you want. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Eway
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a notable one.
If you duplicate a page and make changes to the backup, the divide test basically lets you select what percentages of your visitors you need to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a great function and simple to use.
I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be easy to use, I believed the basic features were fairly good.
There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of businesses, and also you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Total Suite is just three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complex. The chief objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool designed to create managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.
However, are these features, or products? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You may watch the complete list of features, together with Full Suite features, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to afford to try out Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, simple way of increasing earnings, I do not think you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive advantage that you can not do without them: for most users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ main feature, so I wished to devote special attention. In reality, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it being a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely with this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there is quite an array of templates with great designs, however as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You might even save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it is pretty easy to see them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings that are fundamental and open from the editor.
When your pages open in the editor, you be working with a drop and drag builder. It’s a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor uses a page structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Consider these parts as fitting within every other (this informative article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: rows, columns, and components go inside of segments. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns move inside sections, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with one column. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive and go inside columns.
It may sound complex, but it’s rather simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it is a part, but if I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have ) about the builder is how grid-like it’s –you need to work within these columns and rows. I personally do not think this is a huge problem and the builder gives you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one. Clickfunnels Eway
The procedure for handling integrations can also be straightforward, though you may have to look at your third party program’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the procedure pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very straightforward method of incorporating and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all of these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are attempting to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations operate and you don’t have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main market is its simplicity of use–as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which allow the less experienced to save money and time. That being the situation, assessing ease of usage is really important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve could be just a few hours maximum. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it appears to me as if most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling around or seeing the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably will not be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with convenience, and while I would suggest all prospective users enter with some simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will find the most use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to some companies over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those that offer B2B services would probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with those offering more ventures or innovative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for example, if you are a florist, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there would be support too. The same goes for individuals selling content such as books or courses.
Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller company, okay with the price tag, and you need to make your traffic work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to maintain a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but adequate. Their page has a collection of categories, each with their own articles. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it might be simple. Clickfunnels Eway
As for the customer assistance, they have a chat feature inside the dashboard once you log into, but I’m not pleased with it. They’ve generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not need that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t provide that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when attributes have not worked as promised or if there were weird site malfunctions, customer support representatives were supposedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic After he contacted customer support. It illustrates the point, although it may be a situation that is improbable.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel that the team understand that their services are not perfectly easy to use and/or demand tools new for their customers, and they’ve put enough resources into their support to make it adequate. At least basic queries will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Most users would not state ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets a minimum that makes it at least good. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
So, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is good! It is a legitimate competitor in the advertising program space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: you might want to look, If you want a more answer to your marketing needs with customization abilities. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages such as solid integrations, the short learning curve, and templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be quite useful for internet-exposed entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I am pretty certain that for the huge majority of users, enough choice is offered by the page builder. If you are looking for a simple but solid sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not reached its popularity on empty promises, and that’s why I am giving it 4/5 stars.
