What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using differently complex advertising technology, called sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other advertising experiences. He played around with email advertising for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets that his fans rave about and that guide people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Education

ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. They had great potential as a product and soon realized their creation would be helpful to others.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes individuals who do not understand you personally and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps developed to direct a website visitor.

There’s a way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call web traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into customers. In a physical shop, that’s like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. You can speak your clients. In a digital shop, you may be a little more remote from the visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your clients’ through principles of psychology. The funnel works step-by-step, bring visitors in closer and closer until people end up in a page.

You’re correct if you feel this sounds cool –it has turned into a huge bargain for internet marketing. Russell Brunson did not only become wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it as well.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energyto do what otherwise demands a lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning money for the consumer. They make it quite simple to make your accounts, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it is pretty simple to select everything up–it will probably take you a couple hours to figure out most of what you require, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are very useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a feature that is fairly important, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. Once you become accustomed to it, it is an simple to use drag and drop builder.

A/B testing

Built in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of the visitors that you want to see version A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations well. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a WordPress plugin that lets you insert ClickFunnels pages. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.

All in one

Overall, it is great to get things so concentrated: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.

All this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Worth

You may be sure the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the full suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Education

ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of packaging good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have if they tried to handle funnels another way.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few places that need work.

A drawback is the cost. There are only two pricing alternatives, at $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your business a drawback, and like I have said, you receive a fantastic package for this.

Lackluster Customer Support

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic queries, but if you inquire more difficult things, particularly about more advanced features, they won’t be very beneficial.

Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Creator

This is not an objective criticism of their merchandise but that I take a small problem with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a marketing. But from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. When you sign up for the software, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of the software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.

This means you’ll end up purchasing online courses, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and many articles consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they created. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they are more focused on making quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.

Most of us know the founder is a marketing magician, but so much of this item is tied to his own brand and his philosophy. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it seems to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when a few elements of the merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels but more on the community. While you’ve got the capability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, many people use layouts. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some mistakes or will go down. Though this doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a lot of money.

It’s also difficult to know if your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I replicate pages using the HTML printing option, barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.

I enjoy consistency in my software if it’s a business alternative.

Too Straightforward

Finally, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too pricey for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use package of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try out the support , in order you do not have to commit to a costly program right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).

Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some would say so, and I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 a month. But it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. I personally consider it a good investment.

The principal differences between an entry level consideration and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the full list of features.

However, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature which allows you describe a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.

To outline the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can watch the full official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Education

A/B split testing is a feature, but definitely a notable one.

If you replicate a webpage and make changes to the backup, the split test essentially enables you to choose what percentages of the traffic that you need to view per page, letting you test conversion rates very conveniently. It is a function and simple to use.

I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be easy to use, I believed the fundamental features were pretty great.

There are a number of kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of businesses, and also you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I take a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complex. The main goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.

But are products, or these features? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.

Here’s the full list of all StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Mail integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order pages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per type

You can watch the complete list of features, along with Full Package features, here. If you’re in a position where you can manage to try out Etison for a little and you also absolutely require an efficient, simple way of increasing earnings, I don’t think you’d find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive advantage that you can not do without them: for many users, simply StartUp will provide a thorough enough package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ most important attribute, so I wished to devote special attention to it. In fact, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it turned into a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.

Anyhow, there is rather an array of templates with great layouts, though as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You might also save certain templates and make own page templates, and it is rather easy to see them. As you can see, you open from the editor and can toggle with fundamental settings.

Once your pages start in the editor, you be working using a drag and drop builder. It is a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.

The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Consider these components as fitting inside each other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you may have a row with one column, or around four. Elements are the bits that go columns and make your page interactive to its visitors.

It might sound complex, but it is pretty easy to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it’s a part, however when I was hovering over a component, it would be orange.

You could edit section, row, column, and so on, through the side bar. All the small details and parts of your webpage can be altered or moved. The editor allows for lots of customization, but offers control that is good also. You can do a variety of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, settings, and nearly anything you expect. If you are handy with code, then you may also add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you have to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I don’t think this is a huge issue and the builder gives you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has quite a few notable partners you can enhance your integrations readily. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click the one. Clickfunnels Education

The procedure for managing integrations is also simple, though you might have to check your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the procedure straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few attributes, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple way of adding and handling integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a store unless you are using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing each of these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations normally operate and you don’t need to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main market is its ease of usage –because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is pretty significant.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some experience.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve would be just a couple hours max. If you’re actually behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned in the critique.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most questions must be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.

All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will require a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is things you’ll be able to determine by Googling around or seeing the docs centre.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely will not be enough to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all prospective users input with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will find the maximum use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those that offer B2B services will most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with those offering more ventures or products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you’re a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything around yourself and your brand, there could be support too. The same holds for individuals selling content like publications or classes.

Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you should decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you need to make your traffic work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is still sufficient, although only for SaaS companies. Their page has a series of classes. It might be simple, however content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Education

As for the customer assistance that is direct, they have a feature inside the dashboard after you log into, but I’m not too delighted with it. They have generally been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t offer that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Furthermore, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in cases when attributes have not worked as promised or when there were site malfunctions, customer support reps were allegedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. After he contacted customer support, he discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic. It might be a scenario that is unlikely, however it illustrates the point.

Total Support Rating

I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel that the team mostly understand that their solutions are not absolutely simple to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they have put enough resources in their support to make it decent. At least queries will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Perhaps most consumers, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

So, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is fine! It is a legitimate contender in the marketing software space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you may want to look into third party choices you’ll be able to tie, Should you want a more solution to your advertising needs with greater customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or some glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone additional positives like templates that are superior integrations, and the learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be pretty useful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are less. I’m pretty certain that for the majority of users, option is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking first and foremost to get an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it has not reached its popularity after all, and that I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
