What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just three years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using differently complex marketing technology, called sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but advertising experiences. He played with email advertising for some time, and began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two novels his lovers rave about and that guide people through his marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Do Link Tracking

ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. However, they soon realized their production would be helpful to others and had good potential as a commodity.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who don’t understand you and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to direct a website visitor.

There is a boring method of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you telephone web traffic or website traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into customers. In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can speak your customers. In a shop that is digital, you may be a bit more remote from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, draw visitors in closer and closer until visitors end up at a page.

You’re correct if you think this sounds cool –it has become a huge deal for marketing. Russell Brunson didn’t just become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energyto do exactly what demands a whole lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning the user money. They make it simple to produce your accounts, put your content up, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty easy to pick up everything –it will likely take you a few hours to find out a lot of what you require, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are very useful here. I enjoy how easy it’s to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a pretty important feature, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It’s an builder once you get accustomed to it.

A/B analyzing

Constructed in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is duplicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of your visitors that you want to see variant A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations well. Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.

All in 1

Overall, it’s great to get things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.

All of this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Value

You can be sure that the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Do Link Tracking

ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a great job of packaging good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they would have when they attempted to handle funnels another manner.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few areas that need work.

Overpriced?

A little drawback is the price. There are two pricing options, at either $97 a month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your organization a massive drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you get a package for it.

Lackluster Client Service

Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic queries, but if you inquire harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be quite helpful.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator

This isn’t an objective criticism of their merchandise but that I take a slight problem with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype. They’ve a marketing for sure. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you register for the applications, you can try to look at the objective features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.

This means you’ll find yourself buying online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and many posts is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they made. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they are more focused on earning quick cash instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.

So much of this item is tied to his doctrine and his own brand, although Most of us know the creator is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it looks like an extension of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s difficult to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when a few elements of their merchandise (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. While you have the capability to personalize extensively within ClickFunnels, many people use similar designs. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems floating about. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some errors or will go down. Though this really doesn’t happen frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or forcing traffic to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a few hours, you may potentially lose a good deal of money.

In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always wait or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I clone webpages using the HTML publishing option, barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etcand it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.

I like consistency within my applications, particularly if it’s a business solution.

Too Simple

At length, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with : it is too simple, and too pricey for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches which may be more economical upfront and give more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test the service, in order you don’t have to commit to an expensive plan right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).

Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say so, and that I can see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 per month. However, it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty great job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.

The main differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.

But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature which allows you describe a product as a one time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domain names; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the gaps, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official list here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re strong and you get everything you want. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Do Link Tracking

A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but unquestionably a notable one.

If you replicate a webpage and make changes to the copy, the split test basically lets you select what percentages of the visitors that you want to view per page, letting you test conversion rates very conveniently. It’s simple to use and a great function.

I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be easy to work with, I thought the basic features were pretty good.

There are quite a few kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several types of businesses, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I’ll only take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is smart analytics which result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool designed to create managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.

But are these attributes, or products? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to market an iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.

Here is the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Mail integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase pages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per type

You may view the full list of features, along with complete Package attributes, here. If you are in a situation where you can afford to try out Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can not do without them: for many users, simply StartUp will provide a comprehensive enough bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ main feature, so I wanted to devote special attention. In reality, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this landing page builder.

Anyway, there is quite a range of templates with great designs, though as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.

You can even save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it is pretty simple to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with basic settings and open from the editor.

Once your pages start from the editor, you’ll basically be working using a drag and drop builder. It’s a bit more complex than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these components as fitting within each other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: elements, columns, and rows go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have up to four, or a row with one column. Elements are the dynamic bits that go columns and make your page interactive to its customers.

It might sound complicated, but it’s pretty simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a section, but when I was hovering over a component, it could be orange.

You could edit by section, row, column, and so on, via the side bar. Parts of your page and all of the little details can be moved or altered. The template editor allows for plenty of customization, but provides good control also. You can do all sorts of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, settings, and nearly anything you expect. If you’re handy with code, then you can even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A small criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within these columns and rows. Personally, I don’t think this is a huge issue and the builder gives you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
Overall, I like the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other advertising and marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations readily. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click the one. Clickfunnels Do Link Tracking

The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to check your third party program’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward way of incorporating and managing integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part separate from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing all these integrations is pretty simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally run and you don’t need to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of use–as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is pretty important.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve could be just a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned earlier in the review of Russell Brunson, if you behind.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me like most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or visiting the docs center.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely will not be enough to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all potential users input with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to some companies.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those offering B2B services would probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with those offering more creative products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for example, if you are a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good way of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there could be good support also. The same holds for individuals selling content such as courses or publications.

Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely in their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you need to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is still adequate, although only for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a series of categories, each with their own posts. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it might be simple. Clickfunnels Do Link Tracking

As for the customer assistance, they have a feature within the dashboard once you log into, but I am not overly pleased by it. They have been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing query, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t require that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t offer that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in instances when attributes have not worked as promised or if there were weird site malfunctions, customer support representatives were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, some of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. When he contacted customer service, he found they were unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it might be a situation.

Total Support Rating

I would not state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel the team understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or involve tools new to their users, and they have put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least queries will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Most users, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

Therefore, what’s the conclusion? It’s fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising program area and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: Should you need a more answer to your marketing needs with customization abilities that are greater, you may want to check. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let other advantages such as integrations that are strong, the brief learning curve, and templates that are superior.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and reach conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty helpful for significantly less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty certain that for the majority of potential users, the webpage builder provides enough choice. If you’re looking to get an sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. In the end, it hasn’t attained its popularity on promises, and that is why I’m giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
