What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only three years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complicated marketing technology, called sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played with email advertising for some time, and started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Expert Secrets that his fans rave about and that direct people through his marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Course

ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. They soon realized their creation would be useful to others and had good potential as a commodity.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes individuals who do not know you and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures developed to guide a website visitor to the checkout page.

There’s a way of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn many of your visitors into clients. In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the store without purchasing anything. You can speak your customers into buying something. In a shop, you may be a bit more distant from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your clients’ . The funnel works incremental, bring visitors in closer and closer till people wind up in a page.

You’re right, if you feel that sounds cool –it’s become a massive deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did become rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energyto do what otherwise requires a whole lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money for the user. They make it easy to make your account, put your content up, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s rather easy to pick up everything –it will probably take you a few hours to figure out most of what you need, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a pretty important feature, and they’ve pulled it off well. Once you get used to it, it is an easy to use drag and drop builder.

A/B analyzing

Built in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and pick the numbers of your traffic that you wish to see version A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin that allows you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

In general, it’s great to have things so concentrated: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.

All of this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Value

You can be sure that the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Course

ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have if they attempted to handle funnels another way.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has a number of places that require work.

A drawback is the price. There are just two pricing options, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not a massive drawback, another investment in your organization, and like I have mentioned, you get a good package for this.

Lackluster Customer Support

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental queries, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be very helpful.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder

This is not an objective criticism of the product but I take a small issue with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a great advertising for sure. But from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you register for the applications, you may attempt to look at the objective features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.

This usually means you’ll end up buying online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and most articles is composed of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they made. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more concentrated on earning quick cash instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and experts, along with other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.

A lot of the item is tied to his philosophy and his brand, although Most of us know the founder is a marketing wizard. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it seems to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s difficult to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few aspects of the product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more on the neighborhood. As you have the ability to personalize within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use similar designs. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some errors. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, you can potentially lose a lot of money.

It’s also difficult to know if your pages are working or not, unless you constantly check or wait until you hear from angry clients. Barring uptime, I also deal with some glitches when I replicate pages using the HTML publishing alternative.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.

I enjoy consistency in my applications if it is a business solution.

Too Straightforward

At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches which can be more economical upfront and give more control over managing certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the support , in order you do not have to commit to a costly program straight away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some might say , and that I can see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 a month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.

The principal differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the full list of features.

However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you characterize a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Total Suite, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the subsequent section of this ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp basically carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the full official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe that they’re solid and you get whatever you want. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Course

A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but definitely a notable one.

If you replicate a page and make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you select what percentages of the visitors that you want to view per page, letting you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s very easy to use and a function.

In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for other settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the basic features were pretty good.

There are quite a few types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of businesses, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I’ll just have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is smart analytics which result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to create managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.

But are products, or such attributes? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to market an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.

Here is the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase webpages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per type

You can watch the full list of features, along with complete Package features, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to afford to try out Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I do not think you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, just StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote exclusive attention to it. In reality, I feel a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it being a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s rather a range of templates with good layouts, though as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You might even save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it is rather easy to find them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with settings.

When you open your pages you be working using a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Think of these parts as fitting within each other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have around four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the dynamic bits that also make your page interactive to its visitors and go inside columns.

It might sound complex, but it’s rather simple to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it’s a part, but when I was hovering over a component, it could be orange.

You could also edit by section, row, column, and so on, through the side bar. Parts of your webpage and all of the details can be moved or altered. The editor allows for lots of customization, but provides control also. You can do a variety of things–cellular previews, edit colours, text, configurations, and nearly anything you anticipate. If you’re handy with code, you may even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within those columns and rows. I personally don’t think this is a huge problem and the builder gives you enough control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few partners you can enhance your integrations. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they will come up. It, just click the one you want and add it. Clickfunnels Course

The process for managing integrations can also be straightforward, though you may have to look at your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the procedure pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward method of adding and managing integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of shop unless you are using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling all these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally operate smoothly and you do not need to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its ease of usage –as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, assessing ease of use is pretty significant.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some experience.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would say the learning curve could be only a couple hours max. If you are actually behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned previously in the critique.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me like most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.

All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it likely won’t be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all prospective users enter with some simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience ) will find the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses more than others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and those that offer B2B services will most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does ventures that are independent or products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you are a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good method of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything there would be support also. The same holds for individuals selling content such as courses or books.

Obviously, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, okay with the price tag, and you have to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you would be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to maintain a better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is just for SaaS companies, but nevertheless sufficient. Their docs page includes a collection of classes. It may be simple, however it isn’t too shabby. Clickfunnels Course

As once you log in for the customer service, they have a chat feature within the dashboard, but I’m not pleased by it. They’ve been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they required to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that kind of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Furthermore, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in instances when features haven’t worked if there were site malfunctions or as promised, client support representatives were allegedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. After he contacted customer support, he discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic. It illustrates the point, although it may be a situation that is bizarre, improbable.

Overall Support Rating

I would not state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team understand that their services are not simple to use and/or involve tools fresh to their users, and they have put enough resources into their support to make it decent. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Perhaps consumers, myself included, wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it meets a minimum which makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

So, what’s the verdict that is overarching? It’s fine! It is a legitimate contender in the advertising program space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: Should you need a more answer to your advertising needs with higher customization skills, you might want to look. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or some glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone other advantages such as strong integrations the learning curve, and templates that are good.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and reach conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite useful for entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I’m pretty sure that for the vast majority of prospective users, the page builder provides enough option. If you are looking first and foremost to get an easy but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. In the end, it hasn’t reached its popularity on promises, and that I am giving it 4/5 celebrities.
