What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only 3 years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market things online using otherwise complicated advertising technology, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune, not just from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played with email marketing for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two books that his lovers rave about and that direct people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Certified

ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would usually take weeks. But they had great potential as a product and soon realized their production would be helpful to other people.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who don’t know you and turns them to customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a website visitor into the checkout page.

There’s a method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or site visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn into customers. In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without purchasing anything. In a physical store, you can talk your clients into purchasing something. In a shop, you may be a little more distant from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer until people wind up at a payment page.

You’re correct, if you think that sounds cool –it has become a huge bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson did become wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energy–to do what otherwise demands a lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Cash

One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money. They make it put your content up, simple to produce your account, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty simple to select everything up–it’ll probably take you a couple hours to figure out most of what you require, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a feature, and they have pulled it. It’s an easy to use drag and drop builder As soon as you become accustomed to it.

A/B analyzing

Built in A/B testing is great too. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your adjustments, and choose the amounts of the visitors that you wish to view variant A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.

All in 1

In general, it’s good to get things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from one platform.

All this really does save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Worth

You may rest assured the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp account is pretty decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the full suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Certified

ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a great job of packaging good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they’d have if they attempted to handle funnels another manner.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few areas that need work.

A drawback is the price. There are only two pricing options, at either $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your organization, a drawback, and like I have said, you receive a package for it.

Lackluster Customer Support

Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental questions, but if you ask them more difficult things, particularly about more innovative features, they won’t be very helpful.

Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Founder

This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but I take a small problem with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a great advertising for certain. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. When you register for the applications, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of this software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and made to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.

This usually means you’ll end up purchasing online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and many articles consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sport cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more focused on earning quick money rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and experts, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.

We all know the founder is a marketing magician, but much of this item is tied to his own brand and his philosophy. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s difficult not to get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when some elements of their merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more on the neighborhood. As you’ve got the ability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many men and women use similar layouts. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y seems floating around. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some errors. Though this doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing traffic to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a couple of hours, you can potentially lose a good deal of cash.

In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I clone webpages using the HTML printing option, barring uptime, I deal with some glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices change, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.

I enjoy consistency within my software if it is a business solution.

Too Straightforward

Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with : it’s too easy, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches which may be cheaper upfront and give more control over managing certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test the service, so at least you do not need to commit to a costly program right away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some might say so, and that I can see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 a month. But it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. I consider it a fantastic investment.

The principal differences between an entry level consideration and a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the full list of features.

But, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the following section of the ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp basically carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I think that they’re solid and you get everything you want. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Certified

A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a more compact feature a one.

If you replicate a page and also make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you choose what percentages of the traffic you need to view per page, allowing you test conversion rates very handily. It’s simple to use and a great function.

I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for other settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be easy to work with, I believed the fundamental features were pretty good.

There are quite a few kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of companies, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I’ll only have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is just three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The chief objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.

However, are products that are different, or such attributes? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it gets Complete Suite a little confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.

Here is the full list of all StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per type

You can watch the full list of features, together with complete Package attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you can manage to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely require an efficient, simple way of increasing sales, I do not believe you’d find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can not do without them: for many users, just StartUp will provide a comprehensive enough bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote special attention. In fact, I feel a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s quite a range of templates with good designs, though as you can expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.

You might also save certain templates and create personal page templates, and it’s rather easy to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are fundamental and open from the editor.

You’ll basically be working using a drop and drag builder When your pages open in the editor. It’s a little more complex than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four main components: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Consider these parts as fitting inside each other (this article has a helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have up to four, or a row with one column. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive and go columns.

It might sound complex, but it is rather easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it’s a section, but if I was hovering over a component, it would be orange.

You can edit by section, row, column, and so on, through the side bar. Parts of your page and all of the details can be altered or moved. The template editor allows for lots of customization, but offers good control . You can do all sorts of things–cellular previews, edit colours, text, settings, and nearly anything you expect. If you are handy with code, then you may also add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is how grid-like it is–you need to work within those columns and rows. I personally do not believe this is a huge issue and the builder provides you enough control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I like the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct kinds of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few partners you may enhance your integrations readily. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, simply click the one you want and insert it. Clickfunnels Certified

The process for handling integrations is also simple, though you might need to look at your third party program’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the procedure pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very straightforward method of adding and handling integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of store unless you are using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling all these integrations is fairly easy–as long as you are all set up using whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations normally operate smoothly and you do not have to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its simplicity of use–because their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, assessing ease of use is pretty important.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I would say that the learning curve could be just a few hours maximum. If you’re really behind, pick up the books mentioned earlier in the critique of Russell Brunson.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it seems to me as if most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The core features of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or payment processors will want a little bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or visiting the docs center.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably will not be enough to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I would indicate all prospective users enter with some simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience ) will get the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and those that offer B2B services would most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with those offering more products or ventures that are individual. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good method of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there could be support too. The same goes for individuals selling content like publications or courses.

Of course, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller business, okay with the price tag, and you have to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who wants to keep a much better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is nevertheless adequate, although only for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a collection of categories, each with their own posts. It might be simple, but content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Certified

As for the customer assistance that is immediate, they have a feature within the dashboard after you log into, but I am not overly delighted by it. They’ve been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t offer that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in cases when features have not worked if there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, customer support representatives were allegedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic, when he contacted customer support. It might be a scenario that is weird, improbable, but it illustrates the point.

Total Support Rating

I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel the team understand that their solutions are not simple to use and/or involve tools new to their customers, and they’ve put enough resources into their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Most consumers, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets. Within this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

So, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is good! It is a legitimate contender in the advertising program space and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: Should you want a more solution to your marketing needs with customization skills, you might want to look. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or any glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone positives such as templates that are superior , solid integrations, and the brief learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and reach conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty useful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are less. I’m pretty certain that for the majority of potential users, choice is offered by the page builder. If you are looking to get an easy but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not reached its popularity after all, and that is why I am giving it 4/5 stars.
