ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complicated marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played with email marketing for a while, and began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets, two novels and the author of DotCom Secrets that his fans rave that guide and about people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Certified Consulting
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his team produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take months. However, they had good potential as a product and soon realized their creation would be helpful to other people.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not know you and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a website visitor into the checkout page.
There’s a dull method of considering it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn into clients. In a physical store, that is like people walking in to your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. In a physical store, you can speak your customers. In a digital shop, you may be a little more distant from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel functions incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer till people wind up in a payment page.
You are right, if you feel this sounds cool –it’s turned into a massive deal for internet advertising. Russell Brunson did get wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it as well.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save time and energyto do what requires a lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning your user money. They make it put up your content simple to produce your account, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty easy to select up everything –it will probably take you a couple hours to find out a lot of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I like how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a feature that is fairly important, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It is an builder once you become accustomed to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your adjustments, and choose the numbers of the traffic that you wish to see version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.
You will also find a WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
Overall, it is good to have things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You can rest assured that the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the complete suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Certified Consulting
ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they would have if they tried to handle funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s a number of areas that require work.
A little drawback is the price. There are just two pricing alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your organization a drawback, and like I have said, you receive a package for this.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental queries, but if you inquire more difficult things, particularly about more advanced features, they won’t be quite helpful.
Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of the product but I take a small issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype. They’ve a fantastic advertising for certain. However, from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. When you sign up for the software, you can try to look at the objective features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This means you will end up purchasing online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and articles consists of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they are more concentrated on making quick cash rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.
A lot of the product is tied into his own brand and his doctrine, although Most of us know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some elements of the product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more on the neighborhood. While you’ve got the capability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, many people use layouts. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some errors. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a good deal of cash.
In addition, it is hard to know if your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t constantly wait or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I clone webpages using the HTML publishing alternative barring uptime, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.
I like consistency in my applications if it is a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with : it’s too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be more economical upfront and give more control over managing certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try the service, in order you do not have to commit to an expensive plan straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say so, and I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty great job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level consideration and a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality which lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and custom domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I believe that they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Certified Consulting
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but unquestionably a noteworthy one.
If you replicate a webpage and make changes to the backup, the split test essentially enables you to choose what percentages of the visitors that you need to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a function and very easy to use.
I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the basic features were fairly good.
There are quite a few types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different types of businesses, and you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is just three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complex. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to create managing an affiliate system easier and more efficient.
However, are such features, or different products? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels trying to market an iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a bit perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of all StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations

You can watch the complete list of features, together with complete Package attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to manage to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely require an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I do not think you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will provide a thorough adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wanted to devote attention to it. In reality, I feel a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.
Anyway, there is rather an array of templates with good layouts, though as you may expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You can even save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it is pretty simple to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings and open in the editor.
When your pages start from the editor, you be working with a drop and drag builder. It’s a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it is still easy to use.
The editor uses a page structure with four main parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these components as fitting within every other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: elements, columns, and rows go inside of sections. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns move inside sections, but columns especially enter rows. This way you may have around four, or a row with one column. Elements are the lively bits that also make your page interactive and go inside columns.
It may sound complex, but it is rather easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it is a section, but when I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A small criticism I have heard (but do not have personally) about the builder is the way grid-like it is–you need to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I don’t believe this is a massive issue and the builder gives you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I like the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you can enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can search for these or just click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click the one. Clickfunnels Certified Consulting
The process for handling integrations is also straightforward, though you might need to look at your third party program’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the procedure pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very straightforward way of incorporating and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section different from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be much of a store unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations usually operate and you don’t have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its ease of use–as their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is really significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve could be only a couple hours maximum. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it seems to me as if most questions must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or payment processors will want a little bit of comprehension, but it is nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s things you can determine by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it likely won’t be sufficient to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I would indicate all potential users enter with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience here) will get the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to some businesses over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those offering B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does creative products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these industries: for example, if you’re a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good method of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there could be great support also. The same goes for individuals selling content such as publications or classes.
Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, okay with the price tag, and you have to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to maintain a much better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place which is composed of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is just for SaaS companies, but sufficient. Their docs page includes a series of classes. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it might be easy. Clickfunnels Certified Consulting
As once you log into for the customer service, they have a feature inside the dashboard, but I am not pleased by it. They have generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they required three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. Notably, in cases when attributes haven’t worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, customer support representatives were allegedly either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. He found that they were unhelpful and apathetic, when he contacted customer support. It may be a scenario that is improbable, but it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think the team understand that their services are not easy to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they have put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Perhaps most users, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a minimum that makes it at least good enough. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
So, what’s the conclusion? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate contender in the advertising software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: Should you want a more solution to your advertising needs with customization abilities that are higher, you might want to check. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or some glitches in the program. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives like integrations that are strong, the learning curve, and templates that are superior.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be pretty helpful for internet-exposed entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I am pretty certain that for the majority of users, choice is offered by the webpage builder. If you are looking to get an easy but solid sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On empty promises, it has not reached its popularity In the end, and that’s why I am giving it 4/5 stars.
