ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just three years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market things online using differently complicated marketing technology, called sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his creation, and for good reason. He has made a fortune, not just from ClickFunnels, but other advertising experiences. He played with email advertising for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets, two novels and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets that his lovers rave that guide and about people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels Certification
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his staff create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. They had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be helpful to others.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes people who do not understand you personally and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to direct a web site visitor.
There’s a method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone internet traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn into clients. In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can speak your customers. In a digital shop, you could be a little more remote from the customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your clients’ through principles of psychology. The funnel works step-by-step, draw traffic in closer and closer until visitors wind up at a payment page.
You’re correct, if you feel that sounds cool –it’s turned into a huge bargain for online marketing. Russell Brunson did not only become rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energy–to do exactly what otherwise demands a lot of competence and/or an array of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning your consumer money. They make it very simple to produce your account, put your content up, and start taking payments. Additionally, it is rather simple to select up everything –it’ll probably take you a few hours to find out most of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I enjoy how simple it is to duplicate pages, and the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a pretty important attribute, and they have pulled it off well. It is an builder As soon as you become used to it.
Built in A/B testing is great. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and choose the numbers of the traffic you wish to view variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to control.
You will also find a WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.
All in 1
Overall, it is good to get things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise have to spend on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You can be sure the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. In case you have more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Certification
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they would have if they tried to handle funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s a number of areas that require work.
A drawback is the price. There are two pricing options, at $97 a month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your business, a massive drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you get a package for it.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental questions, but if you ask them more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they won’t be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Creator
This is not an objective criticism of their product but that I take a small problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a great marketing for certain. But from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. When you sign up for the software, you can try to look at the purpose features of this software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and made to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This usually means you will end up purchasing online courses, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and many articles is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sport cars. Although these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more focused on making quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.
So much of this item is tied to his doctrine and his own brand, although Most of us know the creator is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s hard not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some elements of the merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more on the community. As you’ve got the ability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, many people use layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will return. Though this doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, then you may potentially lose a lot of money.
In addition, it is hard to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t always check or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I clone webpages using the HTML publishing alternative barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I like consistency within my software if it’s a business solution.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too pricey because of its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that can be cheaper upfront and give more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try the service, so at least you do not need to commit to an expensive plan right away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say so, and that I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 a month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the complete list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide tests, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality which allows you describe a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to watch the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe they’re strong and you get everything you need. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Certification
A/B split testing is definitely, although a feature a notable one.
If you replicate a page and make changes to the copy, the split test essentially enables you to choose what percentages of your visitors you want to view per page, letting you examine conversion rates very handily. It is a fantastic function and easy to use.
In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to use, I thought the basic features were pretty great.
There are quite a few types of available pre-made funnels, oriented into several kinds of businesses, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I’ll only take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to create managing an affiliate system easier and more efficient.
However, are separate products, or such features? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of all StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order pages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You may watch the complete list of features, along with complete Suite features, here. If you are in a position where you are able to afford to try out Etison for a little and you also absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing earnings, I do not think you’d find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for many users, just StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote attention. In fact, I feel a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is quite an array of templates with good designs, however as you can expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You can also save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it’s rather simple to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are fundamental and open in the editor.
You’ll essentially be working with a drag and drop builder once your pages start in the editor. It’s a bit more complicated than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four main components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Consider these components as fitting inside each other (this informative article includes a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: elements, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the dynamic bits that go inside columns and make your page interactive.
It might sound complex, but it’s pretty simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box because it’s a part, but when I was hovering over a component, it could be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have ) on the builder is how grid-like it’s –you have to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I do not think this is a huge problem and the builder gives you enough control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of instance, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you can add to your integrations readily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click the one. Clickfunnels Certification
The procedure for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you may have to look at your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the process simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few attributes, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple method of incorporating and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be a lot of shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all of these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations usually run smoothly and you do not need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of use–because their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, evaluating ease of usage is really significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve could be just a few hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the critique of Russell Brunson if you behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it appears to me like most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it’s things you can determine by Googling about or visiting the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it probably won’t be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I’d suggest all prospective users input with a few simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience here) will get the most use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a companies over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and those that offer B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with those offering more products or independent ventures. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these industries: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there could be support too. The same goes for individuals selling content such as books or courses.
Obviously, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely in their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price , and you need to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place which consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is adequate, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their page includes a series of classes, each with their own articles. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be simple. Clickfunnels Certification
As after you log into for the customer assistance that is direct, they have a chat feature within the dashboard, but I am not pleased by it. They have been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not require that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In cases when features haven’t worked as promised or if there were bizarre site malfunctions, customer service reps were allegedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. When he contacted customer service, he found they were unhelpful and apathetic. It might be a situation, but it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team understand that their services are not simple to use and/or involve tools fresh for their users, and they have put enough resources into their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Most users would not say ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it meets. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
So, what’s the verdict? It’s fine –4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate contender in the advertising software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: If you need a more hands-on solution to your marketing needs with greater customization abilities, you might want to look. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or some glitches in the software. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone advantages like templates that are good, integrations that are strong, and the learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be helpful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty sure that for the majority of users, enough option is offered by the page builder. If you are looking first and foremost for an sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It hasn’t attained its popularity on promises, and that I am giving it 4/5 celebrities.
