What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using differently complicated advertising technology, called sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played with email advertising for a while, and began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets that his lovers rave about and that direct people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Basic Training
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team create funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. However, they had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be useful to other people.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes people who do not understand you personally and turns them into clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures designed to direct a web site visitor.
There is a way of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or website traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn many of your visitors into clients. In a physical shop, that is like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without purchasing anything. At a store, you can talk your clients. In a shop, you could be a little more distant from your customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer till visitors end up in a page.
If you feel this sounds cool, you are correct –it’s become a huge bargain for online marketing. Russell Brunson didn’t just become wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to save time and energy–to do what demands a whole lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
Among the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making the consumer money. They make it quite simple to produce your account, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is pretty simple to select up everything –it’ll likely take you a few hours to find out a lot of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it is to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a attribute, and they have pulled it. It’s an builder once you become used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the amounts of the traffic that you want to see variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.
You will also find a handy WordPress plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress site. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active setups.
All in 1
In general, it is great to have things so concentrated: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.
You may rest assured that the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp account is pretty decent. If you have more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Basic Training
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have when they attempted to handle funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few areas that require work.
A small drawback is the cost. There are just two pricing alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your organization a huge drawback, and like I’ve said, you receive a good package for it.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic questions, but if you inquire harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they won’t be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but I take a small problem with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a great marketing. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you can try to examine the objective features of this software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and made to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This means you’ll end up buying online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and articles consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they created. Though these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they are more concentrated on making quick money instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online classes, saturation of trainers and specialists, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.
A lot of the product is tied into his own brand and his philosophy, although we all know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when a few elements of the merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. While you have the ability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many people use similar designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some errors. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, then you may potentially lose a good deal of money.
In addition, it is hard to know if your pages are working or not, unless you constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. Barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches when I replicate webpages using the HTML printing option.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices alter, etcand it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I like consistency in my software if it is a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too pricey for its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches which may be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test out the support , in order you don’t have to commit to an expensive program straight away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and that I can see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 a month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality which allows you describe a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Suite, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the following section of this ClickFunnels review.
To outline the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Basic Training
A/B split testing is definitely, although a feature a one.
If you duplicate a webpage and also make changes to the backup, the divide test basically enables you to select what percentages of your visitors you want to see per page, allowing you test conversion rates very handily. It’s very easy to use and a function.
I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for other settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be easy to use, I thought the fundamental features were fairly good.
There are a number of kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of businesses, and also you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I’ll just have a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Total Suite is just three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complex. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate system easier and more efficient.
But are products, or such attributes? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels trying to market a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but maybe I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order pages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You can watch the full list of features, along with Full Package features, here. If you’re in a position where you can afford to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you would wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can’t do without themfor many users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ most important attribute, so I wanted to devote special attention. In fact, I feel a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.
Anyway, there is quite a range of templates with great layouts, though as you can expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, so poking around is not too hard.
You can even save certain templates and also make personal page templates, and it is pretty simple to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings and open in the editor.
You’ll basically be working with a drag and drop builder once your pages start in the editor. It is a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four main components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Consider these components as fitting within each other (this informative article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: elements, columns, and rows go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the dynamic bits that also make your page interactive and go inside columns.
It might sound complicated, but it is pretty easy to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it’s a part, however if I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but do not have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I do not think this is a massive issue and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct kinds of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For example, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may enhance your integrations. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can search for these or just click on the search bar, and they will come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, just click the one you want and add it. Clickfunnels Basic Training
The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you may have to check your third party program’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the process straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward way of adding and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each of these integrations is pretty easy–as long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations run smoothly and you do not have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of use–because their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I would say the learning curve could be only a few hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the critique of Russell Brunson if you are actually behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me like most questions must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you can determine by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it probably will not be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all potential users input with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience here) will get the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to a companies over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those offering B2B services will probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you’re a gentleman, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there would be great support too. The same holds for people selling content such as books or courses.
Obviously, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t believe you should decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price , and you need to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who wants to maintain a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is just for SaaS companies, but still adequate. Their docs page includes a collection of classes. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be simple. Clickfunnels Basic Training
As once you log in for the customer assistance that is direct, they’ve a chat feature inside the dashboard, but I’m not delighted with it. They’ve been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not need that kind of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In cases when attributes haven’t worked if there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer service reps were allegedly either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic when he contacted customer service. It may be a situation, however it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team understand that their solutions are not perfectly simple to use and/or involve tools new for their customers, and they have put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least questions will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Perhaps users, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it largely meets. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the verdict that is overarching? It is fine! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing program space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: If you want a more solution to your advertising needs with higher customization abilities, you may want to check into third party choices you can tie. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone positives like templates that are good integrations, and the short learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach higher conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty useful for significantly less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty sure that for the vast majority of users, the page builder provides option. If you’re looking first and foremost to get an sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. After all, it has not reached its popularity on empty promises, and that I’m giving it 4/5 stars.
