Clickfunnels Basic Plan
If you’re in touch with the world of advertising, you have probably at least heard of ClickFunnels. In this ClickFunnels Review, we go deep to the good and poor to determine whether ClickFunnels is a legitimate business advertising software worth trying, or just overhyped. Clickfunnels Basic Plan
ClickFunnels has made a pretty big name for itself since it began, getting one of the largest advertising SaaS (Software as a Service) companies around. I guess it is no surprise–ClickFunnels is all about earning its users cash. More specifically, it’s about giving companies software that helps them turn their site visitors into clients. It is no wonder ClickFunnels has increased in such a brief period of time.
Does that mean it is well worth it, although there is no denying it’s popular? Just how much can we trust the crowd? In this ClickFunnels review, I’ll go through the gist of ClickFunnels–what it really is, the positives and the negatives, the features, customer service, and so forth. I am basing this review on my experience using ClickFunnels’ StartUp plan, which comes with the heart ClickFunnels attributes and plenty of other bells and whistles. I will also provide a nod towards other testimonials I have seen, as not every user will agree with me about the final conclusion.
Regardless of whether you decide to use it or not, it’s a significant participant anybody in e-commerce and internet advertising should be acquainted with. What is our rating, before you leap in? I’ll place it in a strong 4 stars. With some drawbacks, it’s definitely good. Continue reading to learn why!

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complicated advertising technology, called sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played around with email marketing for some time, and started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets that his lovers rave about and that guide people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Basic Plan
ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his team produce funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. They had good potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be useful to others.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes people who do not understand you and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures designed to direct a website visitor into the checkout page.
There’s a boring way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or site traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn into customers. In a brick and mortar store, that is like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can speak your customers into buying something. In a store, you may be a bit more distant from your customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ through principles of psychology. The funnel works incremental, bring visitors in closer and closer till visitors end up in a payment page.
You’re right if you think this sounds cool –it has become a huge bargain for internet marketing. Russell Brunson did get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energyto do exactly what otherwise requires a lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money. They make it put your content up simple to produce your accounts, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty easy to pick up everything –it will probably take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a attribute that is pretty important, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. Once you become used to it, it’s an builder.
Built in A/B testing is great too. All you need to do is duplicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the amounts of your traffic that you wish to view variant A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.
You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
Overall, it is great to have things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All of this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You may be sure the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. In case you have more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Basic Plan
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they’d have if they attempted to manage funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of places that require work.
A small drawback is the cost. There are two pricing options, at $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a drawback, another investment in your business, and like I have mentioned, you get a fantastic package for this.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental queries, but if you inquire harder things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but that I take a slight issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a great marketing. However, from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. When you register for the software, you can try to look at the objective features of this software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This means you will find yourself purchasing online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and posts is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick money instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and specialists, and other spammy online marketer stuff.
We know the founder is a marketing but so much of this product is tied into his philosophy and his brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s hard not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when some elements of the product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more about the community. As you have the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, many men and women use designs. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or forcing traffic to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a lot of money.
In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t constantly check or wait till you hear from angry clients. Barring uptime, I deal with some glitches when I replicate pages using the HTML publishing option.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I like consistency in my applications if it’s a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be more economical upfront and give more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the support , in order you do not need to commit to an expensive program straight away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say so, and that I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 a month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly good job. I consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level consideration and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that allows you characterize a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Package, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the complete official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I think they’re strong and you get everything you want. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Basic Plan
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a one.
If you replicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the divide test basically lets you choose what percentages of the traffic you need to view per page, allowing you test conversion rates very conveniently. It’s quite simple to use and a function.
I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for other settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to work with, I thought the basic features were fairly good.
There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of businesses, and you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will just have a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it is a little more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is smart analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.
But are products, or these features? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but perhaps I am just cynical. In any case, it gets Complete Suite a little confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of all StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You can watch the full list of features, along with Full Package attributes, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you would wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive benefit that you can not do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wanted to devote attention. In fact, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s quite a range of templates with great designs, however as you may expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You can also save certain templates and also make personal page templates, and it is rather simple to find them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with basic settings.
You’ll basically be working with a drop and drag builder once your pages open in the editor. It’s a bit more complicated than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor uses a page structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Consider these components as fitting within each other (this article includes a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with one column. Elements are the dynamic bits that go inside columns and make your page interactive.
It may sound complex, but it’s rather easy to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a section, but if I was hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A small criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have ) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within these columns and rows. Personally, I do not believe this is a huge problem and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few partners you can add to your integrations readily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, simply click the one you desire and insert it. Clickfunnels Basic Plan
The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to look at your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the process simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward way of adding and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you are all set up using whatever tool you’re attempting to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally run and you do not need to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of usage –as their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve could be only a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson if you behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it appears to me like most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it’s stuff you can figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it probably won’t be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with convenience, and while I would suggest all prospective users enter with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and those offering B2B services would probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does individual ventures or products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for example, if you are a gentleman, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good way of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be support also. The same holds for people selling content such as publications or classes.
Of course, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t think you should determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller business, okay with the price tag, and you have to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is still adequate, although just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a collection of classes. It might be simple, but content-wise it isn’t too shabby. Clickfunnels Basic Plan
As for the customer assistance, they have a feature inside the dashboard after you log into, but I am not delighted by it. They’ve been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they required three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not need that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In instances when attributes haven’t worked if there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, client service reps were supposedly either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. After he contacted customer support, he discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic. It illustrates the point, although it might be a scenario that is weird, improbable.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team largely understand that their solutions are not perfectly easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their customers, and they have put enough resources in their support to make it decent. At least questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Perhaps users would not say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It’s fine –4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate competitor in the marketing program space and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: If you need a more answer to your advertising needs with customization skills that are higher, you might want to look into third party options you’ll be able to connect. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let other positives like solid integrations the learning curve, and templates that are superior.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and reach higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be quite helpful for entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I’m pretty certain that for the majority of prospective users, the page builder offers enough choice. If you’re looking to get an easy but powerful sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not reached its popularity on empty promises, and that I’m giving it 4/5 stars.
